I’ve been tuning in various channels on this topic for ten years now and I’ve noticed many Christian’s come into the comment sections, pick an argument and then disappear. They delete everything they commented. It’s so annoying.
Jennifers laugh is fantastic. I love it. It's contagious and good natured. She seems a very positive and loving person. I like her, and will probably yearn for more. Gr8! Peace ☮💜Love
I had an idea for future DiabloCritics episodes. I think it would be so much fun to get the panel to give a censorship rating (G-XXX) to each book in the Bible, citing examples from the books. An honest assessment of the texts through today’s understanding of appropriate, could be very helpful in people’s understanding of the texts.
Thanks for asking. Don Juel was his name; quite a delightful human. His book, _Messianic Exegesis_ is where you will get most of his take on it. www.amazon.com/Messianic-Exegesis-Christological-Interpretations-Christianity-ebook/dp/B001KOUCJO?ref_=ast_author_dp&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.aL05kpWw3fcqet5rNqGmCvrvGFHydSJr8NghjZby7RrQQOS5mSOfLCufIImjwdt8nl2Zx618tSxVtthAXrRpu54aRaAKPnlfHlRW71scntqWpCQJi93W1qISSjFrv7me.AIiXIwEb6Wm77dzK5Jo5bPg-V9fjk_MKdlfQ1wgVFW0&dib_tag=AUTHOR
Apologist? Somebody making apologies? Apologizing for the writings in the Bible? In what world does somebody proudly wear this moniker? It seems to the point of ignorance, that even knowing what the word or what simple words represent is avoiding the facts, avoiding reality, avoiding actual science and logic. Apologies for such low grades in school is warranted. Apology for the embarrassment of the book, I accept that apology, but once somebody apologizes it is assumed they wont continue doing the exact same thing over and over. Gr8! Peace ☮💜Love
Ha! I hear you. And just to clarify, the label “apologist” refers to someone who defends the faith and the reasons for believing. Rather prolific men have been proudly doing so for 1900 years, as it turns out.
I have now added this episode to one of the Playlists on my channel, "Podcast Interviews & Collaborations." The first one is in there as well. ua-cam.com/video/8kHnVSaM4go/v-deo.html
Love the show! Nothing better than listening to dyed-in-the-wool scholars putring the hurt on BS apologetics!
My new favorite stream on UA-cam!

I just shared your suggestion with the team. :)

@@kariannecrysler640 This is a wonderful idea!
@@coreyfaller2500 I figured the censorship is based on family values, therefore should be a reliable source to critique the books by
This was super enjoyable. A shame I didn't get to listen to it live. The worst thing is having to wait another month for the next one.
I'll do a better job promoting it next month.
@@JenniferBirdPhD I knew when it it was coming, just life gets in the way sometimes.
Dan M @ ~2:33.30 -'and its also just some dude making up a story' (re Jeptha). Which sums up all religious texts & stories. Mic drop!
BTW, I believe it was Dr. Richard C. Miller who coined the term "ad Bartum argument "
I'm interested in your seminar professors work on Paul's use of scriptures in 1 Cor 15. Can you point me in the right direction?
