incredible how this band easily couldve been forgotten. what's more sobering is how many more group may have ended up the same way and never had a follow through like this. just glad panchiko made it, okc is my favourite album so hearing this for the first time gives me a sense of profound comfort that resonated with me instantly. being able to hear the disc rot versions really helps you appreciate the amount of work people put into uncovering this

This is beautiful. I love everything about it. The epic performance (better than the original), the camera angles blurring out the faces so the identity of the members is still not revealed, and the hype that lead to this magical moment. Random album uploaded to 4chan found in a thrift store. The CD was badly damaged so the tracks sounded really off but it managed to generate a following. Eventually they managed to track down the band members 20 years later after its release. I think that is mostly it? Stellar music anyways

This band's story is straight out of a movie
I found out about Panchiko a while ago, but I heard the backstory recently and wow. It's amazing that this amazing rediscovered album brought friends back together after 20 years. I just want to thank you guys for making such incredible music, and especially for reuniting after two decades and for finally getting more recognitions as you guys deserve. yesterday, for the first time, i had the pleasure of listening to the "mysterious album" that for so many years kept so many users intrigued. every time i play "death metal" to listen to the album again, i can feel the same as the first time; a wonderful sensation of magic and harmony that little by little is transformed into melancholy and an enormous emptiness. i could only compare it to a time travel, where you visit the beautiful moments of your past, while you find yourself trapped in a depressing present... it's hard to describe.
