Jaboticaba is definitely my favorite fruit, not just for its taste but also because the trees look really great. I have already planted almost a hundred trees from seed, and some of them are already fruiting around 60kg a year.
I unintentionally can name all your plants in your nursery now! Thanks Pete for so much game and knowledge.. for that alone I send you much love and respect from Nola!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Another Great Video Pete. It was so nice to hear you compliment your girls that are keeping your nursery as clean and organized as it is. I can’t even imagine the hours and hard work that goes into keeping a nursery looking like yours. I also find you very educational. You do know your plants. Hat’s off to you and your staff.
Thanks!
Have purchased from you 4 times already. Would 100% order the discounted 3-Pack Starter Kit!
Thanks man! I added them recently and am running monthly sales now. Just had a Memorial Day sale 😃
For someone trying to develop a food forest you really have a great selection ... hard to find many of these near my area in Orlando ... My sister used to live in Homossasa and I should have visited you back then.
Thanks man! I’m trying to be the one stop shop for all your permaculture plant needs 👊
We certainly need more growers here in Orlando.
Would love a video on the tea produced from Butterfly Pea.
Pete your nursery is one of the cleanest! I have been to many and some people do not give a flying f**k about their plants. all that extra weeding and maintenance is also helping keep your farm free of pathogens and pests
Thank you!! My team takes pride in everything they do 👊
"Jaboticaba" is my new safe-word.
It is fun to say. 😁 Can't wait to taste some!
"Jacoticabo!"
"Jatobocaca!"
"Ja... Jabocitabo!"
"FUCK HONEY, STOP! STOP! STOOOOOP!"
I love these nursery tours... Get up to Jim already! 😁
Thanks! August 😬
Wow you're really growing on Pete.

Jus sayin hommie, Peace 😁
I love the mention of native and what benefits that has to it as well as the benefit of insects. Love it
Looking great as always Pete ! You always seem like a very busy man !
Can’t keep up! 😬
Thanks so much for the great tour Pete! I always learn so much from your videos! South Florida here and we are hoping for rain as well. Excited to see you expand your greenhouse!
Thanks man! Seriously getting desperate over here, it’s been so dry!
Great tour video bro thank you for taking your time to show us around and share your thoughts and plans Pete....god bless you and amazing family/team/friends hope you all have a great rest of your day.
Thanks buddy 👊
Plants look extremely healthy. Where I'm from outdoor nursery stock growing season maybe 6 months. For some reason I always find my way back to your channel in winter.
Pete your enthusiasm is contagious!! I've remarked on it before and again, the state of your growing areas and plants is pristine and amazing. Yes I would like a jabo introductory combo, will be in Florida soon and planting like a fiend. Aloha for now!
Thank you!! 🙌
Really outstanding work. I am over on the east coast, was thinking of getting an olive tree. Maybe I will drive over your way and check out the nursery, make some adds to my barrier island fruit forest.
Thanks 🙏
Same here in Europe. Its been pretty cold and rainy for weeks 😪
Yesss, we want that magic trio. I would want a fruit forest starter pack anyway!
tea bush looks so much like a texas sage...
awesome video. .. awesome build up.. subscribed for a long time now!
im in central fl! Thanks for posting
Thanks 🙏
This is one of my favorite channels, I feel like I can smell all the plants and love to see everything you have there. Your doggeh is so cute too 🐕
I am in Naples and this windy, arid and occassional weird cool day is odd. My cassava plants in the ground all suddenly died, not sure why.
Thanks! 🤩
That’s super odd with the cassava, they’re almost bullet proof.
Love the Jabo videos👊👊
Thank you for sharing your Nursery with us all! You're such an inspiration to all of us here in Florida as to what we can actually grow so I can't wait to visit your property and pick up a load of plants for my own property in Citrus Springs FL. Thank you again!!!
Thanks so much! 🙏
So stoked for you and all the people you are helping ! Looking forward to a big order with you once we decide on our land !
Thanks man! This last year has been quite adventure. I’m super stoked to see what the future holds 👊
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL you are an inspiration to many!! Just gave out a bunch of free papaya plants and purple sweet potatoes and mulberries to the farmers market over here. Met a guy who wants to help people grow food. The sandbox homestead is his biz. He wants to be a fruit tree “drug dealer”. Get them on a easy one and get them hooked. Lol
Come on in, take look enjoy yourself!
Excellent nursery brother. Iam from India I'm also cultivating jaboticaba and other plants
Looking at land in Tampa right now. Can't wait to acquire some property and start growing! Appreciate everything you do Pete.
Awesome! Great area too.
Thank you
Thank you for the tour, Pete. See you Friday here in Lakeland.
Great meeting you Mark! 👊
Just wanted to drop a comment for appreciation. You have brought my collection to another level brother. Thank you
Thanks so much! 👊
I live in Wesley Chapel. Would love to visit.
Thank you. It would be nice to get as many flowering jabuticaba as possible as well as other different Type edible plants. Thank you for all your information.
Thank you Pete, for sharing you bounty and hard word and love!!💝
Thanks 🤩
Great video! I'm doing the rain dance! I'm in St. Pete. My rain barrel is empty and that rarely happens.
We need rain so badly!!!
Super awesome video..!! Beautiful trees and plants ..!!
Thanks 🙏
You should try a Strawberry Tree(Arbutus unedo). They look amazing and produce nice red fruits and they are pretty hardy.
Interesting man! I don’t know that one. Gonna have to look it up 👊
Awesome tour of and awesome nursery.... lots of interesting plants that I would love to put in the food forest..
Olives! I'd love one but it's too hot in Miami to get them to fruit. I guess I could try to keep one as an ornamental, what do you think about that?
Definitely! I’ve seen 100yr old tress in Miami. I’ve they wound even fruit! They’re very heat tolerant.
Love the update! Keep them coming. If you live near bok tower I would go right now. Leche, passion fruit, blackberry, mulberry, peach, blueberry, jobotocaba sabra I think, Barbados cherry. And I'm sure some more I missed are all fruiting.
If you live in Central Florida and don't know what bok tower is, Google it grab your family and go.
I still haven’t been! Thanks for the reminder.
i tried to like this video SIx Times! but it only allowed once @ 250!!!! Keep it GOing!!!!
Awesome man! Thanks 👊👊👊
yes i be interested in 3 tree starter...they fit right in with all my figs
It’s live now!
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL thank you pete.. i just got my order shipped email..i had been watchin for that to go live so when i seen it i jump right on it..
Great full on nursery!
Would love to do a nursery on that scale! Running out of room here. It's the most organized I've ever seen! Wow!
Rain did start down here. It's almost every other day
I'm dancing for u right now.Haha
Thanks 🙏
We need rain so badly!!
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL it's raining here but not like it should be. I'm praying for it! I'm hand watering every day. This time of year?
I absolutely wish I could work for you. This would be my dream job. I maintain my food forest and 2,000 as ft veggie gardens now, plus love editing.
💪🏻💕✨
3-pak sounds cool!
They’re live! I’ve been running sales monthly too.
I'm all in for that 3 pack starter pack. No doubt it will sell out.
They’re up sir 👊
Love the video , great collection of varieties ! Wished I could find a Durian and Purple Mangosteen tree for sale ......
Those really won’t grow in Florida.
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL what a shame. I really have no idea where to source them ......
Love it! Your online nursery is the best. Will you be offering mango trees in the future?
Working on it! Thanks 🙏
Bay Leaf!! Sold!! Ill take one maybe 2!! Amazing Videos!! South FL local!
Thanks 🙏
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL Hey. Wondering when you were going to upload the bay leafs on your website.. still looking to buy them, but i cant find them. Can you attach the link to your comment so i can buy, or should i do a over the phone order?
I am all for the starter 3 pack on the jabos!
They’re live! I’m also running monthly sales
Gonna try to find some seeds. In Europe it might be almost impossible I think haha
Pete, another topic. I am on a well system like you. Over in Sebastian Fla. question. Have you ever tested your water,to see if it effects your PH soil levels, for your plants. Very curious. Thanks in advance.
I drink fruit of the earth aloe like water, heals ulcers
Funny you say that but the plants are my survivors in my poor soil, nematodes and all!
Haha, just really checking out your video and butterfly pea stuck out to me and then you said shout out to Amanda. This is awesome! Curious where you are and how shipping works?
Too funny! We are just north of tampa and ship weekly monthly-Wednesday depending on shipping load. Greendreamsfl.com
Got a couple of questions, all-knowing friends of Pete and Peter, The Great himself. I have an Everbearing Mulberry which makes tiny fruit but, a lot of fruit all during the growing season. Just bought a Pakistan Black. Will they cross pollenate? I'm hoping so. Should be interesting. Question two: If you create a new tree from a cutting, will that tree have the same sex as the source or can it be the opposite? Question three: Sapodilla versus Sapote. A friend of mine allowed me to taste a white Sapodilla and, I find it nearly as amazing as Mango, the world's greatest fruit. However, finding one has proven to be, literally, impossible. When I search online, "Sapote" comes up a lot. Are not these NOT the same?
Sapote is a term for soft edible fruit. Sapodilla is a brownish fruit that tastes like a pear dipped in brown sugar. White Sapote is a citrus relative that has a very creamy texture with sweet, sometimes floral flavor. Black Sapote is a species of persimmon that some people call chocolate pudding fruit. Mamey Sapote is brown, often football shaped and orange inside with a bit of pumpkin flavor. There are other fruits with Sapote in the name as well.
@@SulcataGrove Thank you so much for the useful and thorough information. I'm grateful! Got my notepad out!
Hello, May I know what is the kind of floor that you installed in your nursery?
Just black nursery mat on crushed concrete.
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL thanks for answering!!
Yes very clean nursery!...when I worked at a nursery, my boss would yell when he didn't see "Ron star".....I've tried ordering a plant on your webpage , but it has trouble loading for me....FYI.
Thanks! Try refreshing your page or use Crome. My browser can be finicky.
I would like to grow a jaboticaba. I live on the beachside in Central Florida, sandwiched between the Intracoastal and the Atlantic. Salt spray is an issue and it burns the tips of my mango leaves. I think we're 10a here. Would they do OK?
Where are you at ? I’m in holly hill
They would do great! You can always keep them in a container long term. I don’t remember off the top of my head, but one species is definitely more salt tolerant.
I would be interested in the 3 pk. I live in Spring Hill😁
Awesome!! Howdy neighbor 👋
We added them to our online store 😊
Hi Pete, you said you have 15 varieties of mulberry. So do you have the Shahtoot (white) Pakistani mulberry?
Thank!
I’m also interested in olive trees.
We have bigger trees available for local pickup by appointment.
I recently ordered some jaboticaba trees and was wondering if I could water them with city water or are they too sensitive for that? Thank you so much for anyone who has any advice about this, I’m new to the jaboticaba world.
I would let the water sit for a day before using it. Well or rain is preferred but use what you have available. If the water is really harsh use a RV filter on your hose.
Dude, you’re such a busy person. From what I’ve gathered: You own a nursery, do installs, chase Jim and maybe a few others around, film, edit, I’m assuming you probably have a family, and who knows what else?!? 🤣 How do you fit it all in?
Haha not sure! It’s definitely a balancing act. I try to have a personal life 🤣
Do you ship fruit trees to the Bahamas
Pete, I love you
Love your nursery Pete, so much that I ordered two scarlets from you last year for my birthday :) I was wondering if some of your most sensitive plants cant be shipped because of size issues, Is there any way that you'd potentially sell unrooted cuttings?
I’m constantly adding more plants to the online store. What are you talking about specifically? I’ll see why we can do. Thanks for the support 👊
I’m sure you’ve answered this before but do you all grow pawpaw fruit trees? The common pawpaw specifically, not the wispy, bush-like variety, or dwarf but the common pawpaw?
They really need more cold. I haven’t had a good one this far south.
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL I’m in Gainesville, so maybe I don’t have enough (cold) either? I did just buy a strawberry tree from you and it should be here this week!! I’m so excited!!
I would be interested in the starter 3 pack of Jabo!
I put a few together last week! I’m also running monthly sales 👊
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL I assume they are on the website?
Thanks for the update pete. Just ordered some of that butterfly pea and spotted pigeon pea. Any update on the other property you mentioned in one of your other videos?
Thanks so much for the support! I was gonna bring that up in the next video.
Pete, i have a Jabo. In the ground. 6 feet tall. NO fruit. Any ideas, . Also its on a watering system? Thanks.
It all depends on the age, sabara can take 10-15yrs to fruit. I have 10ft trees that haven’t fruited yet.
Yes please jaboticaba starter kit
They’re live sir! I’m also trying to run monthly sales.
we live in zone 9b florida. Where can i buy a jabuticaba plant/tree??
Go to his website
Check out my website greendreamsfl.com
What’s the title of his cook book?
👍👍
Cecopia is dioecious.
I like to call it "Tender-leaf Hibiscus"
Good one!
have you tried jaboticaba in air pots? what are your thoughts?
I haven’t personally but I’ve heard good things. It’s definitely work looking into.
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL are you going to try it soon? Also, can't wait for your jabuticaba starter pack!!
I’d take a starter kit
We just put them up on the website 👊
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL I wish your shipping charge was a lot lower because you guys have great prices on trees until you get to shipping the comes up … I mean for example the jaboticaba seeds I can get a pack from Hawaii a lot cheaper … plants I understand because there a bit bigger package than seeds
How do you order maranga
Go to his website
Greendreamsfl.com
Should give us a walk though of that area next to the greenhouse before you tear it out
Good call!
hi Pete, could the use of plastic be eliminated ?
I’d really hope so long term. We’ve been looking at coconut and mushroom based products...
👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊
I don’t know if you’re gonna get this message but I have die off like that too I’m pretty sure it’s Ann’s getting into the pot and colonizing and I think that’s affecting my plants because they seem to die right after that and those little tiny microscopic cans so I don’t know if that’s from it but I don’t want to die I shake out all the dirt on the ground I could see all the billions a little ants so you never know that’s why I don’t like parts above the ground because that’s the level where the answer I’m thinking about digging a tiny little depression and putting the pipe inside that so Dan’s can’t get into the holes of the pot and colonize I hope that works for you.
Interesting observation. I’ll be looking tomorrow 😉
I'd work for you if you would give me a RV hookup.
Where you coming from? Admin@greendreamsfl.com
