Hi I've started an esports organisation I have 4 teams in the vrml in 2 games however we want to go into flat games like fortnite, non of us play these games so we don't know much about it and I don't know how to get into the league and find players. We don't have any money at the minute we have started a youtube, twitch and tik tok to try and expand.
I disagree with the "gaming house" point. Not saying it absolutely doesn't work for some teams, but I think we've seen alot of cases where living in that environment became too toxic. Imagine having to live at your day job and share a house with all your coworkers. I like the new push towards "gaming compounds" by orgs rather than gaming houses. Everyone gets their own personal living space outside of work, and when its time to work you go to an actual workplace, just like a normal job. I think its important for people mentally & physically to feel like they can have a personal life outside of their work, without having work life & personal life sharing the same space 24/7.
I've heard some team owners also mention this. But recently I had some players say the opposite - that they found they only connected well with their teams when living together. SO for now I'm still on the fence about this one. Could make for an interesting video after chatting to more teams!
Im a wannabe valorant pro(on my gfs yt red) just wanted to say i agree with the whole office/ work /life balance point u just made. I practice about an hour or 2 of aim labs when i get up play ranked eat, play 2 more hours of aimlabs getup play ranked get tired eat. Then rinse repeat until i sleep. This is making me realize why peoples mental health is shit rn with the whole work from home thing. I dont get how people do it. Wake up in the office come "home" eat dinner and go to sleep in the office. Like the toll its taking on my mental..... getting up and going to to my local gaming arena to practice has been so much better. Having to get up and make myself presentable and go somewhere other than my house has just been SO much better. Dont forget about your mental health!!!!!
