I wanted to be a pro so bad I used to run myself ragged and it would actually hold me back.
Ive been working out daily and eating healthier and the difference in my mental performance and emotional health is insane.
Its not about loosing weight but just about being healthy and working out is definitely the way to go.

Man, I wish they had this kinda eSports training stuff around when I was a youngster and wanted to be a pro gamer which was sadly a lost cause as I was pretty terrible at gaming (still am... I'm pretty terrible at many, many things) and my parents didn't exactly think highly of gaming for a living (my Father was a bit more forgiving RIP and God rest his soul BTW but my Mother still isn't keen on it) not to mention I couldn't afford many games back then so sadly my dream died only to be revived pretty recently a couple months after building my first 2 PCs which is something I would've never thought even possible just a year ago (I'm in my mid-30s.) A lot of people still sadly don't quite understand that gaming on a pro/eSports level does require an actual healthy lifestyle with exercise and diet... not just downing energy drinks, eating Doritos and sitting in front of a screen for 4+ hours a day. I'm still not great and I have my bad/tilt days (I mostly play "dead" games like Splitgate and Halo Infinite too, still haven't quite found an actual popular eSports title that's "clicked" for lack of a better term) but I've vastly improved by applying as many of these videos as possible even simply watching my own replays when I'm both in my mode and out of it. I do think exercise helps... this is one of the reasons why I work out twice a week (I used to be able to work out 3 but I have such a weird work schedule as I'm pretty much Graveyard Shift... I guess me working a fairly physical job helps keep my weight down too) and it can help with my performance.
Anyways, I don't know where I'm going with this, but if nothing else thank you for all the free content! I definitely am considering trying this course thing because what's there to lose with me at this point?

  • @elseeye

Idk why but a lot of big gamers seem to be completely against working out/ too good for it or whatever thought process that goes through anyone’s head who refuses to workout. But I’m glad people are starting to see the benefits in everything from being in shape

Thanks for covering this, it's a topic I've been interested in for a while but never seen covered that well. Haven't finished the video but I think there's definitely merits to working out to improve gaming performance, whether directly or indirectly through improving other things such as mental health. Keep up the great work Braeden!

I definitely agree with this working out thing about things reaction time reinforcing unconscious good habits in the sub unconscious mind. I definitely feel 0.50-1 second faster than usual after working out at the gym with some aerobic exercise at the gym. While also less frustated about loses in a csgo game about that mental well being thing. So there is definitely some truth behind these studies about pro esport players working out at the gym. About things like reaction time reflexes mental well being health

    Loved the video.
I was fascinated moths ago about an article, comparing brain benefits from "cognitive vs physical" exercises, surprisingly (for me) being almost the same effective, although affecting different brain's areas.
This content brings real value to eSport scene.

    Great video!
I had some experience with it. Before gaming I went to gym. And after a really exhausting session (like 1 or 1.5 hours) playing feels like I have a reaction 10 times better. Everything that was so fast before is now so slow. I can not say that this effect last long. Maybe like it dissappears in half hour less or more. But still, how it is clearly visible, how physical train can affect you.
Also I think the people that are practicing has better mental health, and in competitive games tend to be more calm, even if your teammates are not doing great.
    Thanks for the video!

There was a Lumosity game that i played once and i got better and better every try at first, i got a little addicted to it and i played it for a couple of hours. Then i felt like hitting my peak no matter how hard i tried. I went out and ran 2-3 kilometers in a pretty intense way. After i came back i only did higher scores than my before peak with way less effort. It really is magical guys.

Omg honestly this will probably be the reason to me starting to workout again. I’ve seen professional players that are insanely talented. Seen them a few years before where they were been lacking in a few areas but then they got ripped and started playing somewhat better.
I’m sure it also has to do with that they’ve grown more in their career and picked up on other skills and boosts to benefit them, but this does explain a lot why esports player are really fit and play really good. (Not saying that because they’re ripped they play good and that’s the only reason, but it’s definitely a factor)

But out of all these new every 20,000,000 new Players - some like me don’t last long. I wonder how many of those who go in, all of a sudden their expectations are then broken and leave?
Part of me is fighting back to go back in, but my work in Night Shift is also telling me otherwise. Like I’m now programmed to be an NPC, doing the night actions and say the same lines over and over again, and Live off from Paycheck to Paycheck.

I’m thinking of purchasing the 30-day course but in a slump/burnout and find it really difficult to play right now. I wanna take up as much knowledge as I can here and put them into my lifestyle.
But how do I get out of a slump faster? Now I’m just gonna wait a month and I’ll be back to the normal me but I feel like for professionals players that’s not gonna work. It’s okay if you don’t wanna answer me since you might go over it in the course but could you tell me if it’s in the course?
