- Well, we made it.
10 Days in the Dust. 10 days of racing, community, laughs, beers and plenty of dust ingested. Pre event was blood sweat and tears to get both the car and bike finished for the fast approaching due date. Sleep wasn't an option- hence the name 'Mid Night Special' but we made it. We raced hard, set speeds we didn't expect, met people we now call friends, and had plenty of laughs around the fire at night.

Not many get to experience the sheer joy of running an old V8 flat out in the wide open spaces. You were almost jumping out of your skin after that first run.

Man, when you first started shaping those exhaust tips on the car, I thought "nah, leave them slash cut". Wow, was I wrong! They are without doubt, the best looking exhaust tips I've ever seen, and handmade! Love your work!

Over the many years, every time we have went the Bonneville Salt Flats for Speed Week we have met fun guys from Australia and New Zealand who enjoy the fast and nostalgic old iron as much as we do.
After a week on the Salt Flats we don't have dust to clean up, but we do have sticky salt stuck in every hard to reach crevice to dig and blast out, that is why we finally installed and outdoor vehicle lift to make things easier and not wet down the shop with corrosive salt water.

I had a car which actually competed at the lake in or around 1924. I was about 3/4 of the way through restoring it when I was made an offer for it and sold it around 1992. Great to see racing in the english style,no roll bars etc.

I would like to thank you for the chance to go along with you on the build journey but more so on the grand race weekend. I really enjoyed the sweet memories the races brought back. The taste of clay on your teeth, the clay dust packed in your nose and eyes and the sliding around the curves.

Received one trophy! It’s a ripper, being there was the win. Cracked a 100mph. Smiled a lot and met great people. Overall a massive win

Any lube between the leaf spring will make the dampeners job harder. There's extra dampening to be had with the leaves rubbing against each other with nothing on them at all,
