Lake Tahoe, Hunting for lost and tossed treasure!

- Scuba diving Lake Tahoe's north shore, hunting around some docks to see what is there. Found a nice ring, and some boating related items, as well as an I-Phone. Two Subscriber shout outs! finds round up. Found a golf ball or two so I can log the dive.
I am a diver as well. Love your channel. You need to get a diving bag for your treasure and another reusable bag that unzips from top to bottom for trash. It is a creed and responsibility for divers to bring back trash from every dive. We must leave our waters cleaner then we found them.
I’m a pensioner in the UK, I can’t afford to do this, but I love watching your videos, quiet and relaxing and best of all , interesting. I’ll have to stick to metal detecting on my local beach for the odd coins.

Why does everything you find look like they were just put there. So clean with all the sediment around.
Tahoe is clean... there is very little sediment if you consider what you see has accumulated over hundreds of years. This site is popular with hunters, I visited it every 4 or 5 weeks and often went away with nothing, so what I am finding has not been down long.
Lots of cool finds today! and hey a silver ring in my book is a great find... even if the stone is cubic zirconia..

A silver ring is a great find in my book as well! But it looks like a gold ring with diamonds! Any disappointment was short lived. I wish all the water I dived was that clear also. Thanks for tuning in !

Lake Tahoe is such a beautiful lake, Your very lucky to have a place there. Last time I was near there was in 2003 visiting the Ponderosa Ranch and remembering watching Bonanza as a kid in the 70's. I was there months before they closed. Its a shame its gone, love the history and surrounding area.
Agreed about the natural beauty of the area, I wish I had a place there. It is a two and a half hour drive for me... Thanks for tuning in.

I remember losing precious toys in the water as a kid, it does break your heart! I miss my toy gun, my action figures and my homemade toy boat that couldn't float.

Most of these locations, you wouldn't even have to scuba dive with compressed air, just 'snorkle' by dragging a kayak around above you, with a small compressor supplying air down a hose. Put a flag on the kayak, 'Do not disturb, Scuba Diver Below'.
Nah To deep for a surface supplied compressor. And a tank of air is much cheaper that a compressor. And free diving is a hit an miss thing. And more dangerous than scuba

You’ve got to love that Tahoe water. It’s so clear but freezing cold! I learn to water ski there and they learned because it was too cold to fall down! Have fun!

What's the weirdest thing you found?
Hi Amanda, that changes in my mind often, right now I would say... Once I found an infant resuscitator dummy wrapped in weights to hold it down. They look very real underwater in poor visibility. Very weird and startling! It was used by the Sheriffs department dive recovery team for practice. Thanks for watching!

I used to dive the Truckee River a lot wallets rings sunglasses fishing gear I found several Rolex watches diamond ring sunglasses complete bikini lots of cash and wallets on times

My cousin was a salvage diver based in Brunswick, GA. He spent his time off looking for sunken ships in the Keys. He did find a Revolutionary War ship someplace up north, I think New York. Great video!

Hi Alexis, There are fish I just failed to capture many on video, and the few I did were edited out. I have been purposely taking more time to video the wildlife because so many people comment about it. My latest videos will show more. Thanks for tuning in!
North shore is right next to a popular spot for tourists in Tahoe so the fish tend to swim a bit more deep in water out by the very end of the peir☺️ (I know Cause I live in Tahoe xD)

12:40 I’m pretty sure that is to a Mercury outboard engine. Thinking it has to be either a cowl (which is basically a cover) release lever, or the handle to manually tilt a small-to-medium outboard motor. Maybe 25-75 hp.

Hey Wanda, I saw at least 2 or 3 crawdads and for sure one fish under a boat
They're in there but the lake is so big and so deep, you won't ever see them just swimming.
There are small fish/minnows swimming around boat launches, docks, etc. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of hours sitting on rafters under a dock on West Shore, fishing for minnows. Cheap, exciting & fun.. But the real kokanee mega fish are farther out & deep. If you want to see a lot of huge fish, stop at Tahoe City where the spawning fish gather at the Truckee/Lake tributary. There are dozens at times.
I think it is great (and surely fun too :) !) what you are doing, getting all of this stuff out of the lake and thus preserving it !! Hat's off - definitely a like. Got a good friend here, who lived for several years on the lake Tahoe.

I swear the chepo sunglasses look like Varnets Used in the olympics at Squaw valley. Vintage in good shape will cost about 100 bucks Crystal lenses. ... or not could be copycats. I'm surprised it is still clear in the water when I was young it was like bath water could see the rocks at bottom no problem. On of my favorite places along with Yosemite and my old home town of Santa Cruz. Some people have no idea they live in paradise.

I never knew Lake Tahoe was so blue! 😊 its a long way from VA from me, me & my husband went cross country 2 summers ago. We drove threw but didn't stop. Might have to go back one day 😊
Tahoe is an excellent place to stop and play or relax. It is worth a pause!
Where's the fish & other sea creatures?
There is mostly just fish in Tahoe no crabs or anything like that
sup B there is no structure for the fish to hide and breed. Tahoe (Mt. Mazama) is a volcanic caldera and as such it is shaped like a huge bowl.

Interestingly, Lake Tahoe used to have commercial finhing there were so many fish. This I Donner Lake, the fishing there is quite good, the trout are a shy fish and leave when i arrive, I see them, but the GoPro does not pick then up.
I’ll never go in that lake again. If you see Tahoe Tessie you wouldn’t either. I’ve seen and it’s big.

DISCLAIMER: My grandfather was friends with the man who made up that story. It’s a made up myth. But, you may have seen a sea creature that hasn’t yet been discovered👏 there are many empty caves that lead to different lakes in Tahoe
Nice finds. Gotta love the viz. Don't get much of that here in Michigan unless ya hit the great lakes. It's always interesting the things you'll find. Been sheriff's diver for years, seen all sorts of things. Like your vids, keep posting and heres to many more great days underwater for you.

@Haley Chacon Obviously you have no idea about real scuba diving. Its easy to avoid stirring up silt, especially by just not back tracking...which he didn't do during the video. There wasn't any current issue, and he just went about 10 or 15 feet at a time, It would be real easy to just swim from place to place, a little higher in the water, and then dive a few feet deeper to find the treasures.

THAT was the most fun diving I've had in years....two boat hooks ! I noticed there was not ONE FISH anywhere! Most times I find a ton of lures and occasionally an anchor. Looks like Lake Tahoe is pretty bleak when it comes to marine life! Thanks for the fun junk collecting dive ~

Sure thing George, Not many fish in this area, there were a bunch of 1 inch fry but I cut them in the edit. The larger fish will keep to the areas with easy access to deeper water. In those areas, lots of fishing and boating treasures. Good to have you tuning in!

As for Shout outs... no i don't mind at all. I have never felt like I am in competition with other UA-camrs. If I find another YT'er I enjoy I don't stop watching one to watch them, I just add 'em to my list. The more popular one person is the wider the audience appeal for similar stuff.
