  • Vinyl Cutting is a popular service that many businesses offer. Vinyl Cutting is the process of cutting vinyl to size or shape to be applied to a surface. Vinyl has been applied to cars to give them a new look or feel as well as to smaller items like cell phones to protect them from damage. But the important part is always the cutting of the Vinyl. If the blades aren’t correct or sharp enough, the vinyl will not be cut correctly and then the application will be unprofessional.
In today’s video, Riley from Lanford Agencies creates a frosted vinyl using provided artwork and then cuts the vinyl using a V-Auto Superfast Vinyl Cutter with Automatic Contour Cutting.
Using our design program, we apply the designs to the templates.
We select the design, make sure the size is correct, and load in the frosted vinyl to the V-Auto Superfast Vinyl Cutter with Automatic Contour Cutting, for sale from AM.CO.ZA on Buythis.co.za. We are then ready to cut out the designs.

Now that the frosting has been cut, we now need to do the process of weeding. Weeding is the process of removing parts of the design/artwork that you don’t need.
From there, we need to apply the application tape. Tape can be applied by hand or by a laminator. We will be applying by hand, as we have a small piece of the application tape that we need to apply.
Now that the application tape has been applied, and the edges trimmed, we are now ready to install the frosted vinyl. The first step is making sure that the glass where we will be applying the frosted vinyl is clean. We need to use soapy water and a blade to scratch off any residue that may be on the glass.
When applying the frosting, we need to coat both the glass and the vinyl with water, so that the vinyl can be moved into place. When applying the vinyl, work at a 45-degree angle and rather pull the squeegee to get the most amount of water out as possible.
Once the Vinyl is applied, we need to remove to trim the edges of the application tape and then slowly pull it away from the vinyl.
If you are going to do an application with water and a soapy solution, keep in mind that once you have sprayed on the water and applied the vinyl, you need to leave the vinyl for roughly 8 hours to set. After this, you can remove the application tape and see the result.
