Frosted Glass with Logo by Sandblast Vinyl Printed on Large Format Printer with ECO Solvent Inks

The FastCOLOUR large format printer sold by Advanced Machinery is one of the most affordable UV printers that can be found in the market right now.
It comprises of a printing area that is 1600mm long. It also does bi-directional UV printing.
Lanford Agencies utilized sandblasting vinyl to print the multiple logos used by Universal Music Africa.
This was done using Advanced Machinery’s FastCOLOUR large format printer.
Water and dishwashing liquid were mixed and turned into a soapy solution.
The solution formed was applied onto the vinyl that went on the glass doors.
The dishwashing liquid solution was dispersed onto the door.
Then glass spray was used to clean up any dirt or residue left behind before or after application.
The vinyl was cleaned up with glass spray to ensure a very smooth surface.
Then vinyl was applied onto the glass door. It was then left to dry for half an hour after being applied to the glass door.
The vinyl was pressed down with a squeegee so that it sticks onto the door perfectly and then the sticker was peeled off leaving behind the frosted vinyl.
The main reason why they created a frosted effect is because they wanted light to penetrate through the glass doors.
