To be fair, the Magatama doesn't really help with breaking the locks, it only shows them to Phoenix. So all it's really doing is showing that there _is_ a secret. Phoenix still breaks the locks on his own, with his own logic.
Investigations 2 is claimed as the best game of the franchise. I genuenily believe Trials and Tribulations and Spirit of Justice are better games in general, but I2 is huge step up from I1, and the first clue of that is the Logic Chess. And just as curiosity, this case takes place just 10 days after the battle with Quercus Alba. Talk about a busy life, Edgy-Boy.
@@stardust7780 DGS2 kinda recontextualizes a lot of what happens in the first game (being that they're a duology) but I agree, the first case kinda drags arbitrarily and Case 2 kinda started cliched and really is the reason I have trust issues with Capcom. Case 3 just slaps

yknow i hated eustace (the name) with my whole heart, but after playing through it with the new name, it grew on me over time... the pun they came up with was super effective imo
Just a heads up. You are playing a beta build, which still has some translation bugs. Shouldn't impact the game too much, but might want to switch to the final build before you get too far into the game if you want to avoid them. Most emulators and "backup-carts" have some way to switch game builds while keeping your savegame.
