I couldn't have said it better than the person who said it above me in this comment above said it, you are a lifesaver bro I figured out number one number two and number two but I've been out here since 5:00 p.m. and it's now 8:00 p.m. and I would have never guessed or even known about those two little plastic things until I saw your video so you again bro said it above me best as possible l you are a lifesaver🥰🤗🫡🥳🥳🥳🥳💯💯💚💯👆🤟🤘🫶🫶🫶
Just bought a nice 2001 Suburban and needed to remove the 3rd row seats. No manual, of course. Your vid made it simple, quick and understandable. Many thanks from the Pacific Northwest!
Wow, thank you so much! I just got a 2002 burb and had absolutely no clue how to do this. NOW if everything is working properly on mine I will be done in a few minutes!!
Omg! Thank you soooo frickn much!!! You just saved me hundreds on a rental...not only were my seats stuck from rust but I've never removed 'em before. My '02 Yukon XL was passed down from my Pops after he passed away so it felt great breaking a sweat and accomplishing one more thing with my Pops n mind and heart. 'Ppreciate you man! Saved the day❤
My previous comment mentioned number 3. There should be a small strap labeled 3. It releases the front 2 at the same time. Its in a small slit coming out of the bottom of the seat and 3 is embroidered on it. Pull this and the bent bar with seat tilted forward. No mats needed.
Looking at the seat from the rear there should be a cloth loop (like the one that allows the back seat to tilt forward) on the right side that is supposed to release those 2 front latches. The cables have a tendency to stretch or come loose requiring the method you just demonstrated. Thanks for the video.
Yeah I found a little thing that's supposed to pull the cable like you mentioned but as you also mentioned my cable has been stretched to where it's no longer taught and has tension anymore its just loose and slag so I had to do it like he did it but I actually tried doing it the way you just mentioned with no Prevail again as my cable connecting the two had gone slacked but yeah that's the way it's really supposed to originally be done but original isn't always things that are about 20 years old or so in the original manner LOL
Awesome video. Could never have done this without you. I couldn't quite do it the way you said. I had to use a pry bar to hold the latch open so I could life and push with both hands.
Thank you for the information. It seems like pushing up while releasing the latches could work better, since you don't have to lift and push all the way from the back of the folded seat. I will try this today.
Mine has a lil strap on the back of the seat you pull and it unlocks the front hooks but didn’t realize I had to lay the seat back down to unlock the front hooks. Thank you.
Look for a small strap of back side just 8 inches right of lever 2. Pulling it after doing the first two lever steps will release the front two points. Mentioned in other comments just thought I'd put it at the top.
Great video! My 2002 Suburban has two single seats in 2nd row. Need to replace the 3rd row seat since it does not match the others. Bought this used a month ago and going through and fixing things. Have you had any issue with the rear view mirrors? My temp and compass display went out. Was very dim when I bought it. Have you had any trouble with yours?
Not with the rear view mirror But my heated seats turn on randomly sometimes in the summer lol. It didn’t do it as much this year so maybe it figured itself out The blendor or something doesn’t work so well either, I have to keep the air on my 02 set to defrost all the time because it doesn’t like to go back to it
@@forrestboutin9100 Check the grounds on frame under seat, rear of passenger side head, on frame drivers side below core support and hid under drivers side pillar cover which also goes down behind kick panel. Always check grounds on these.
Thats what the small black latch is for, if its not broken anyway. You didnt say yours was broken in the vid. It's alot easier to remove than what you shown. "The best suburban yet" series on here is the vehicle orientation directly from GM for 00-06 models.
so re installing the seat is the same process reversed? dose the front latches just snap into place? and rear part of the seat engages the holes? I took mine out for more room but vacation time I need the 3rd row seat for more people.
You deserve a humanitarian award cause anyone that owns theses trucks absolutely owns you a debt of gratitude!! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much! :)

You can download the manual online
I watched 3 videos that were chatty and useless. Stumbled across yours and it seriously should be the #1 Google hit 🎉 thank you👍
Was beating my head against the wall trying to figure this out, your video made my day.

Yes this is correct. Pull #3 then pull on the metal handle and it rolls out. Carry it like luggage.
This!

Thank-You..... knowing WHERE to look is very helpful !! 💖
This is what I was going to add 👍

Thanks for the video - these seats are a pain to get out. I did mine by myself today
Actually helpful. Showed me WHAT the lever was not just told me.
Outstanding! Thank you I have been trying to figure this out by myself and feeling really stupid. You made it so simple. Much appreciated!

Awesome video. Could never have done this without you. I couldn't quite do it the way you said. I had to use a pry bar to hold the latch open so I could life and push with both hands.
Excellent. Took mine out about 3-4 times. It's been awhile and I forgot the last part. Tip, next time, hold camera horizontal.
There’s a strap on the back that your pulll to release the latches for the final step
After all these years all of the secrets to these seats is unraveling lol
I don't see a strap on mine.....
Damn! I just didn't realize that I should cover the holes!!! Big help!!
Thank you. 7000 views and only a few hundred likes? These people suck, the least I could do is say thanks and like the
Thank you!
There is a #3 tab to pull and then pull on the metal handle and it rolls out. Carry it like luggage all from behind the seat.
whoever disliked is dumb. this is the best tutuorial i’ve found
I Agree !!
After you pull 1 and 2 and seat is vertical there is a strap on the bottom of the seat that you pull and it comes right out
Perfect tutorial easy as hell thank you so much 👏👏
Thanks man. You're a lifesaver.

I will try this today.
Done, thanks man!
Completely forgot the notches to take it off are in FRONT of the seat not behind it lol thanks for the video this saved me
Mine has a cord numbered 3 ypu can pull from the back but I cant get it to release the front. I have an 04
Actually smart design lol don't need a bunch of tools
Mine has a lil strap on the back of the seat you pull and it unlocks the front hooks but didn’t realize I had to lay the seat back down to unlock the front hooks. Thank you.

2000-2006 Chevrolet Suburban/Tahoe 3rd Row Seat Removal by Yourself in 3 Minutes
Appreciate it man
Thank you
It wasn’t easy but I made it 😅😅😅
Thanks that helped.
god bless
شكرا لك
This helped so much...I hope GM fired the stupid person who engineered this...the most dumbest design ever!
Thank u for the video.
so re installing the seat is the same process reversed? dose the front latches just snap into place? and rear part of the seat engages the holes? I took mine out for more room but vacation time I need the 3rd row seat for more people.
THANK YOU!!
How do we drop down drivers side 2nd row
2 seater bench seat ? Yukon xl 2001
Props 👊🏼
Thnx bro
What's the cargo space dimensions without the third row seats, do you know?
With 3rd seat removed you can put a 4X8 sheet of plywood in there and close the hatch.
Thank you, thank you, thank you
Thanks you.
Thank you so much
Thank you so much!
Can you make a video on how to put it back please?😅
Thank you!!
Are you able to fold it upright while not in the car
Omg I feel so stupid now. I couldn’t figure it out myself and my mom couldn’t either. 😑
Oh my God thanks so much!
The double side, second row back rests dont go down or I I don't know where I pull to get it taken down like the one seater in the second row
Grab the back of the seat and pull forward. Then release the lever to fold the back down.
How did you get the middle row, driver's side, seat down?
Thanks bro ❤
What if #2 doesnt fully release on the right side? We pulled 1 &2 but ours gets stuck on the right and won't come out
Would this work for a 05 Chevy trail blazer?
How would I soup up in 2003 Chevy Tahoe to speed up
On my truck the second latch won't move. What do I do?
Did you run 5 miles before making the video?
Haha that is jus throw much effort it took me! Plus these iPhones are really good at catching breathing if it’s held too close
