Look. It's ANOTHER rare person on youtube who is a highly capable teacher. Nice. I am a physics and ESL teacher, so I can't tell you how much I appreciate someone who explains things and isn't just some kind of "d**k narcissist" who wants to make tutorials but who can't explain what they are doing and why. Thanks, man.

Thanks! There's a Shamisen in my preset pack that you can hear here: ua-cam.com/video/RdP2nVIQLh4/v-deo.html
I'm not sure about making a video for it since I'm using a sample of a Wurlitzer key that most people won't have access to. The process is very similar to the process I used for the Dulcimer and HVAC Guitar videos: ua-cam.com/video/Hz3VDVIjtFE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/l1nanipb9SI/v-deo.html

Thank you, I don't really have much of a background. Just learned through experimentation and looking up topics I didn't understand.

@@deppam Keep at it! It's much simpler than it first seems. Eventually I'll make a comprehensive guide to sound design using Vital.

Eric, I love your tutorials. I've been hearing a wobbly, glide-y synth on various lo-fi/hiphop tracks and can't for the life of me quite pin down how to make it. Here's a link to what I mean: ua-cam.com/video/rWWCRKfeKSk/v-deo.html Any thoughts? Also, any online courses you would recommend for better understanding synth sound design? thanks

Jazen Sounds has a good 2-part intro to sound design on youtube. That sounds like a square wave with a 24 db low-pass filter key-tracking 100%. The cutoff of the filter and the coarse pitch is being modulated by a relatively short envelope. Then a triangle-shaped LFO is modulating fine pitch for the vibrato. Another envelope about 2 seconds long is modulating vibrato amount so that the vibrato grows. I hope that makes sense.

@@EricBowman I almost pretty fairly sure I can maybe implement all that lol. But seriously, yeah that makes sense. Thanks a ton Eric. For the course rec and instructions. Super helpful
