Thank you for the review, I’m currently at 659whp/458ftlbs and my comp stage 4 isn’t cutting it. I rarely (if ever) track the car, and it only comes out in the summer a few times for some visits to Mexico. I was on the fence about a twin because of the cost (again I rarely even drive it), but now I think I’ll go for either the Grip or Yonaka twin setup and just see how it goes. But you’ve definitely made a believer out of me regarding the grip.
I just uploaded an unboxing video on the grip racing twin disc. It is NOT the same manufacturer as adlerspeed. Adlerspeed failed another UA-camr and grip racing is based in USA. I’m not sure if adlerspeed manufacturers here or in China. Either way, it looks like adlerspeed did not work out. With that being said, I spent the extra money on the grip racing twin disc (about 1000$ after tax). Will be doing an installation and a review soon. Stay tuned!
My last clutch was from Grip. Does the twin require a break in? Does it matter even on a pucked clutch? I rushed it, had some chunks out when I took it out....prolly a year later of street abuse
Yes sir you are sopose to break it in also but i only did a few miles maby 50 or so . I think it just really comes down to how you drive and the luck of the draw . a few small chunks are normal ive seen that befor on twins but even name brand clutch can blow up.
JUST STOP talking about "this clutch should hold Xxx HORSEPOWER" as is DEFINITELY NOT about horsepower BUT about TORQUE. Maybe I'm running diesel or i could run a HIGH BOOST with high torque or high rev low boost with LOW torque, any of these situation the ratio between HORSEPOWER and TORQUE will be VEEEEEEEERY different!. So, if you hate to be seen as stupid or very uneducated you should follow my advice. Cheers,
Looks like the Adler racing triple disc. They have a twin disc that is yellow.
I may purchase one of them and see how it goes.
They have 2 options..yellow and silver.
Silver is with 1 spring disc and a normal disc for less noise and yellow is traditionell with 2x same disc
Did you order it?
Any updates on the order
