Where the PROOF is in the singing!
I have heard things saying you are a fake but all I see is proof that you are not you are an amazing singer and just your UA-cam has taught me some new tricks to singing I also believe you handled the accusations very well and mature in your other video about picking out who's fake and choosing the right person keep staying awesome ken hopefully one day I'll buy your course when I get the money and fully unlock my potential
IRush Games- Thank you for investigating for yourself. I appreciate the kind words! :-)
Respect from Nepal
@@kentamplin my mom saw me doing this on guitar while holding my nose 😂😂 she said what are you doing 😂
Your intro was enough proof you were a legit singer
Thanks, Frank! 😊
He stills is, i have watch recent videos. That i can tell you for sure.
@@kentamplin The last note on the intro was in "falseto"?
I was thinking that 😂
My vocal coach that gives me lessons at my college, who is classically trained and has been singing for decades, says he has a tremendous amount of respect for your methods and results. If you get his approval, then you should get anyone's approval.
+Indy The Great - My training has roots in classical training, as well as being adapted to be more applicable to the demands of modern Pop, Rock, Blues, Country, and R and B singing. Your coach most likely recognizes the classical aspects of my training and my methods.
He does, and he says that a lot of people take lessons from coaches that purely teach classical techniques then try to sing more pop or rock type music and damage their voices.
+Indy The Great very very true
+Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Hey since I started singing while plugging or squeezing my nose, my voice is really weakish sometimes and the singing feels so weird now.
Am I not supposed to keep it plugged every time I sing?
+Nathan H The only reason for plugging the note ( a few times, not with regularity) is to feel and understand air traveling through the velo nasal port and how to mitigate and manage that air.
There is nothing about plugging your nose that would make anyone "weaker" unless you are singing too hard because you are hearing the "volume" or resonance from the nasal port.
My parrot was sleeping 😴 and now She’s screaming la la la la la la la lol
👍
Hahahahaha
I love that every video goes from you belting out at the top of your lungs to just going “hi I’m ken tamplin” in a soft voice
Glad you enjoy it!😄
His lady singing voice is turning me on. What a SIREN
Justin Miller - Not exactly the effect I was going for...

@@applejellypucci LOL No doubt!
Started playing guitar and singing and I was 14. Used to go to my dads seasonal campsite. Every Saturday night they had a talent show I remember very clearly my dad saying to me you’re not pronunciating and you’re singing through your nose. My dad did opera in several off Broadway performances in his youth. He was phenomenal. My dad emigrated from Belgium after World War II and he never lost his French accent. If you’ve ever heard Maurice Chevalier, that was my dad only my dad was so much better. I wish I could’ve grown up with him, I would’ve learned a lot. Voice is like guitar… There is always so much more to learn. Thank you for your help
I'm what I and most would consider a falsetto/nasal singer. But throughout the years I've learned that sometimes shouting and working with a strong solid delivery has helped me. My loud boisterous voice can be messy, just as a stronger voice can come down into falsetto as weak and off key for some. But your voice mature's overtime, and your life and experiences help mold what your voice capabilities are. I know it sound funny, but a good struggle in your life will give you that wail and growl you're looking for. Same as sadness can bring your tone to subtle and sympathetic. Work with what you vocally can't do until you can. SINGERS...that is.
Love this! Nasality is one of my biggest challenges with singing and I heard a big improvement in myself just with following along to the scales you played.
Awesome!
you really helped me. i didn’t even know this nasal thing exist. i finally got a microphone set because we want to record a song for our acoustic band. everytime i record my vocal the outcome was always “boxy”, turned out it was my own voice. no one has ever taught me about vocal lessons, everything i do is from the internet. thanks for this. i hope i can be a good artist in the future.
I'm glad this was helpful!
OMG (in Heaven)
You are sooo CooL.
My Dad ( if just maybe, you might remember some of what I shared with you), said I was too nasal. I was a teen at work he time and probably some what more fragile!
I will never stop following you
Mr.Tamplin!!!. For me,, you are truly a gift for me.
Please take care.
👍👍👍,
💚💚💚
Thanks so much for the kind words, Janet! I appreciate you! 😊

Merry Christmas, Ken!
Your good works are greatly appreciated!
Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy this is really awesome I was trying to find some voice lessons but I came across yours that is so very cool soon now I watch your videos and and try to plugg my nose wow yeah I noticed the difference. thank You so very much. you rock I don't lol
Some people have made their whole careers out of a nasal tone... Take Amy Winehouse for example. It's true you can control nasality. 100 percent nasality costs resonance and richness in vocal tone. Really one dimensional. However, A bit of nasality coupled with the "ng" placement of the tongue really improves low notes
Could you please make a video on the difference between nasality and singing in your mask? It almost seems like that’s the same thing, and yet we hear often “singing into your mask is good, but your soft palate should be up” How is this possible??
Sing bohenmian rhapsody

+SilentAssassin01234 - You're welcome! Looking forward to your progress!
+Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Me too! One quick question, I have heard that if you can sing a note in falsetto, you can sing it in a full sound that sounds a bit more 'chestier'. Would you class that as true?
+SilentAssassin01234 Not if you don;t know the correct way to grow your chest voice to do it. I cover this in my singing course
Wow, amazing, i enjoy your tips brother.
Thank you, Roger! 😊
This man is a hero!

Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy currently belting out doctor feelgood never felt better about my voice though thanks for replying as well :)
CANNOT WAIT TO GET MY VIDEOS. I am in a local rock band here in Portland OR and I absolutely MUST master the rock voice. Especially as my lead singer/writer has handed me more solo material and as I struggle thru recording sessions. I have NO idea what I am doing and have not found a local voice coach who understands what i am going for and how to relay the techniques.
+Joanna Bewley :-)
Thanks a lot for the tips... I will try cause I´m singing Remember you (skid Row) in our band.
Cool, Paula!
Today this tips with the "Chipping around..." of Under Pressure. It´s amazing how the brain works; "the Why part" is easy for me and I have sensations in the top of my head, maybe cause my mind says "give all without fear" :D Thanks a lot from a Spanish girl living in Holland¡
thanks ken!
+Marycarmen Espinosa You are welcome!

Merry Christmas! 🎅⛄🎄
@@kentamplin you too, Ken!
Watching you sing is so interesting - love your tips and it makes me smile that your tongue sometimes reminds me of a turtle's.
Interesting! I asked you that question as a comment on a previous video of yours, and here is the answer. You cover so many great topics. So, when your favorite genre is country ballads, is singing nasally a bad thing, or does it depend on the song and the singer? Should I try to reduce or eliminate it, or should I try to sing the song by eliminating the nasal sound as you suggest, and then decide for myself what I prefer?
I'll be trying this soon! I'm already sounding better after I had nasal surgery back at Thanksgiving week to correct my deviated septum and inferior airways.
Rock on!! You can do it!
You sound so young. That’s amazing 😮
I'm not THAT old! 😊
This guy is the 100% the real deal
The best
Thanks for listening!

And if you haven't got it, you'd better get it! ;-)
That sound has a special place in my heart though.... "Bon Scott"
!! Thanks
Hi Ken. Just found your youtube channel by chance (watching a drum cover of Muse resistance on it)..I am vocally challenged and I cannot sing in tune. I have been part of a Gregorian choir in my childhood but as soon as I opened my mouth they asked me to play back (mimic). Maybe you should provide tips/training for those like me who just want to sing in tune (not professionally), do some karaoke without ruining the exercise and so on (even singing under the shower without alarming the whole house). Anyway will keep following you and listening and practicing your exercices maybe over time it will improve my voice.. Keep up the good job!
+Cyrille Emery Thanks Cyrille! That's just what my vocal course can do. Check out the current , killer, deal on my course. Just begin at the beginning, one step at a time. You'll get there! kentamplinvocalacademy.com/sale-2016/ I can help you be the best singer you can be! :)

I love to sing especially christian songs( at My house - Only,) but i used to sing through nose.... i feel so ashamed to sing after daily prayer... but still i used to sing daily. One of my dream is to sing little bit better.. I prayed a lot to God to make my voice good while singing..... I will try...Wish me luck....
