I just got mine and I cant remember the last time I bought anything that wowed me so much with how well thought out it is. As a bag lover I’m seriously mind blown of all the details and how well thought out the pockets and features are. So freakin happy I got my hands on one. My one question that I have is the sternum strap adjuster. Love how technical it looks but not certain of how its supposed to function. I see the pull string but not sure what it does, and also theres the silver clip that’s under the harness that moves. Im not sure but it almost seems like there’s a way to lock down the adjustment once you have the strap at the right height.
so many awesome ideas ! I love the whole idea with the hidden wings and the extra pocket just amazing. did u think about using magnets for example for the waterbottle bockets to keep them a little more streamlined and tucked away or for the inside big open pockets ?
Is there a correct way to fold up the front bit for maxinum lifespan on the materials? Better to fold inward vs outword? Better to fold the dyneema wings one way or the other?
I noticed over the past year that I have been in search of more carryology collabs. There's so much effort put into designs. My days have become easier with each addition of gear. Thank you
Probably should change the title of this video as you say in the beginning that this is not a review...just my two cents surprised the editors didn’t catch that.
People search for “review” when they’re looking to learn more about the pack. We figured if they want intel, this is helpful behind the scenes knowledge about the pack.
Congratulations on such an amazing collab! Ah man... I purchased 2 for myself in the first two minutes and they sold out in about 19 mins! I do SO SO SO wish you would have kept the orange hex (Tumi London) textured liner though. I noticed that in either some of the promo images or the video stills, and was bummed that I didn't see it here. That is my dream interior! I hang onto my Tumi London, just because I love that hex-textured orange liner so much. Unless I am wrong and I just can't see the hex orange liner, can you tell me why you all didn't choose to go with it in production? Sincere congratulations again. What an amazing looking bag. I can't wait to see them on my doorstep. :)
As a carryology fan, attention to detail is one of the things that makes a good bag, and really good anything right? The focus in this video is all over the place. Bag is going to be awesome, but should've done a better job on the video presenting it! Please treat this as constructive criticism. Cheers!
Wish you guys would release an all black version that’s not a limited run. The camo is kind of a turn off for any kind of everyday use in my mind. Otherwise pack looks great!
Please commission more than 300 🎒 Backpacks! Limit 1 pack per customer. I refuse to purchase off the secondary market from third-party money-grubbing $ellers! 😤
@@CarryologyTV , Well, I hope Mystery Ranch x Carryology 🐲 can execute Special Editions instead of very Limited Editions so everyone that wants the cool well designed and thought-out pack 🎒 can purchase one eventually. Build to order, I'd rather wait than not get one. By the time someone hears about it unfortunately it's already sold out and on the secondary market 👎🏻. Sometimes loyal customers have to just think 🤔 about if it's the right pack design for their usage, not to mention saving up for the expensive 💵 purchase. Very frustrating 😖, because it was exactly what I was looking for.
Guess next time you do a collaboration I’ll have to sign up to a VPN service first. Would love to see something with The Brown Buffalo, Vertx, Peak Design or GORUCK coming in around 15-22L. Or let’s go for a Canadian Company like Arcteryx and have the Americans use a VPN! :)
@@mattdavis4765 @Carryology explained that MR's commerce tech would shut down anything that wasn't all verifiably US based, including VPNs, or credit cards or shipping or mailing addresses that were anywhere else, etc. But join the fb group and you'll be able to find a proxy, we/they're the analog version of a VPN lol
@@skipper4114 all distributors were given the chance to sell the bag, and for a variety of reasons, different MR distributors chose not to (COVID shutdowns, etc). Not up to Carryology, nor MR for that matter.
Looks amazing. Hope it brings joy to many! Ways I'd improve the design (for the next Collab of course): 1. This seems to have the same single strip of webbing that many MR packs share (e.g. my 3DAP has this too). While sufficient, I would personally like a handgrip like the one on the GORUCK GR1- slightly padded with two webbing strips and a handgrip part. 2. Individual compartments for both the laptop and water bladder. I wouldn't mind the extra weight of having a padded laptop compartment external to the bag, whereas the bladder would be inside (ala the 3DAP). 3. The built-in Stick-It rocks, but wish it had MOLLE instead of the vertical webbing. However, I'll adjust. LOVE this feature, and the fact that it's collapsible and tuckable. Question: do the origami waistbelt wings eat into the volume of the pack (ala like the 3DAP's do)? I hate that, and it forces me to keep the padded waist belt deployed (though they have the Live Wings on them so they're bulkier).
People asked and begged for them and we delivered! We love the way they turned out and have to give our readers at least one collab bag with big bottle pockets. 👍

Pull string is to hold down hydration. The metal spring is to remove the strap!

What bourbon did you have in the flask? Yum! 🤣
Usually some EH Taylor Barrel Proof (batch #12 is my favorite) 😍🤘
Thanks for the great collaboration again!! I am just waiting for the drop in Japan! (hope I can get) Anyway, where is this pack made?
Probably Vietnam
Because it cost $449, my guess is that these were made here in the US - in Bozeman, Montana.
Thanks for the comment!! Considering the Unicorn which cost $350ish and was made in Asia, I guess the Dragon may also be made in Asia.
