I agree, the only thing I would have liked to see to put it into action are examples of the structure. This is so complex that putting it into practicality would be challenging for a newer trainer trying to implement it for their clients. But then again, just go to Daru 😂
Thank you brother I fought both ammy and pro as a younger kid but wasn’t able to maximize my ability. Juggling running a business and coaching through my focus off along with concussions from football and wars in the gym stopped my career. I Was losing fights I should of won and needed to focus on what I knew was my ultimate calling and that’s coaching. With that being said I’m a competitor at heart and still going to be competing in some combat sports now that I’m in a position to do so with more focus. Much appreciated 🙏🏼🙏🏼👊🏼
@phildarustrong How do you decide how many days a week s&C if an athlete is out of camp? Also, if they lift E.g. 2 sessions (focusing on sport specific technique sessions and positional sparring) does this mean Squat - compound, leg press - regional, then 3+ exercises and that's just for lower body? Repeat for upper body and it seems like a lot of volume and very long sessions.
Hi! I was wondering what are some good exercises for strength in muay thai specifically. This is for a 10 year old who competes but is lacking strength in kicks and punches.
I would focus on building foundational strength first. Using sleds, basic bodyweight exercises, climbing rope, jumping, etc. Then around 14 y/o start implementing more axial loading strategies like barbell squats, OH press variations, and some sort of hinge variation.
I have learned more from him than I did in college at a high level

Pl make a video on which exercises to do in a normal gym for combat sports.
You can do all of this in a normal gym using DBs, cables, and barbells
You are the man
