You're AMAZING, Kristen!
Awww.thank you for your encouragement, Maria!
I am so thankful I found your videos. I'm relatively new to rock painting. I'm in a rock painting group on Facebook, and they recommended you! I will also recommend you to others!
I love your videos, Having a great time doing this dotting thing
Beautiful! You make it look doable! I have been intimidated by the symmetrical ones but this one looks like a good place to start with the irregular pattern, more room to improvise if your dots aren't perfect. Thanks so much!
I hope you give it a try! This design is really striking in person.
Love the hearts....!!! skipping house cleaning tomorrow and do some :). Thank you Kristin and have a wonderful weekend...
LOL. I know what you mean! I have to do my grocery shopping/meal planning well ahead, too, because I can't stop in the middle of a project. Acrylic paints don't like to sit for very long, even when covered up with a damp paper towel.
Love these videos!!! TY So much your work is stunning!!!!
So kind, Kathy Currier! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing, Kristen. I like an alternative shape besides the circle on stone. Hearts, spirals, stars, squares, ovals, all offer design challenges. Beautiful.
Yes, Rose! I absolutely agree. I had never tried a heart before and was really sort of intimidated to try it. But I really liked the result and want to try more shapes now.
Absolutely great tutorial. I love your hearts and I think your colour combinations are superb!
Marion, I appreciate your encouragement. Thank you!
Que lindo!!! Gratidão por ensinar!!!
I just made one for my mother and she loved it! I'm a beginner but thanks to tour video I was able to do it 😃. GRAZIE

Just tried making this for an "Art for the Heart" display we have at work (donations will go to a local children's hospital). I used card-stock, as I'm a total newb at dot art, but it didn't turn out bad. Thanks for sharing and inspiring others!
Lindas, lindas!!!! Parabens!!
Thank you for demonstrating this so clearly! You are a master in that you make this looks so effortless. I am aiming for that!
Thank you, Fortune Art. I hope you give it a try. It sure is fun to make these!
Beautiful
your stones are wonderful!
Thank you, Giovanna.
By the way, I love your dotting tool resourcefulness. Thanks for the tips.
Nancy Chestnut ii
Where is the tutorial for this
..your done? Is there a part 1 or something?
Excelente !!!!!
they ae breathtaking
Love it
Absolutely magnificent! I am a geology professor and I've been thinking of doing some of these to leave around campus as a way to promote our geology classes.
What a great idea! I was a Marine geology minor in college. Love rocks of all kinds and love hunting!
They won’t last long. Toooo beautiful! 😄
I love the hearts you painted! I've been seeing these on Pinterest a lot but thought it's for much more advanced dotting artists. Thanks to your video you were able to break it down for even a beginner like myself might want to try. Another I'm seeing is ocean and mountain scenery. If you ever get a chance would you do a video on that too? Everything you show and share is absolutely beautiful! And if it means anything, I've seen quite a few videos on this but yours is by far the easiest to follow and understand. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you, so much Bev!
Very pretty
Wow, you can really dot finely and clean. I love this and watching you do the dotillism is so relaxing and enjoyable to me. They all turn out so beautifully
Thank you, Nancy. I'm still learning and trying to get better with practice.
Muy bonito gracias por enseñar a hacerlo. Molto Bello
Mencanta tus trabajos de Mandala..👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💓
Bravissima😍😍😍😍
Very beautiful design Kristin. I made several magic carpet stones today, I love them. I will have to try the heart design at some point; but first I want to catch up with tutorials 17-19. Thank you for all of your patterns and tips.
I'm so excited to hear that you are painting! yay!
Love your tutorials Kristin, i am working up to give it a try ( not as if i didnt have enough to do, i make quilts, crochet, sew and embroider...lol) :D, well nothing like too much art or craft, i say....
Hallo from Germany. So beautiful. Thanks for the Inspirations :-)))
Guten Abdend, Sabine!!!
Beau travail ♡♥♡
Love hearts, last one was my favorite. U make it look so easy. I'm struggling with alignment and all dots looking the same within the different sizes. I think i just have to practice.
Me encanta 😌😌
Love these designs. I see them in my future
very nice thank you very much, where does a person find big rocks like that keep doing what u do best
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love hearts
I love your videos Kristin!! Wanted to let fellow dot enthusiasts know that I've found great cheap dotting tools on Etsy from Happy Dotting Company!
I miss yours tutorials
JOY... we are all creators
I hope you don't mind, but I shared the link to your video on a FB Rock page I help admin. I love these!
Thank you!
Where do you find these great rocks? Thanks so much for these videos💚
Is the consistency of your paint right from the tube/bottle? Or is it mixed with a medium?
Very beautiful!!!! How do you pick your colors? Are you using a color wheel?
Yes, Sometimes I look at flowers for color ideas, but it seems I am always going back to the color wheel.
Thank you Kristin, absolutely beautiful. After a break from painting rocks, you have encouraged me to begin again. Tomorrow is a perfect day for that. Questions: What is the white pencil you are using for your guidelines? I may have missed it in a previous video, if I did, my apologies. Also, are the punch tools flat on the other end?
Hi Cindy! Yes, the punch tools are flat on the other end. That is the end I use to dot with. I am using a General Charcoal White pencil (amazon).
Do I have to seal my designs with anything for them to stay on long? If so what do u advise. Thank u love ur work
Natoya Roache she sprayed with a sealant at the end of the video
Hi Kristin, It would be most helpful if you note the approximate size stone used in the current project you are working at - Thank you :)
Great idea. Thank you! Both stones were approximately three and half inches.
what are those awesome little paint dobbers that your using? those look great btw.
Thanks, Sarah! The tools are listed in the comments. The little tiny ones are actually clay sculpturing tools.
please tell us more about those tools they look like they make great large dots
I bought these on Amazon for about $30, and they are flat on one end, which makes them perfect for dotting. The variety of sizes is really helpful, AND that they are metal so you can use hot water to clean them off thoroughly.
Wonder if it would look ok if you left the heart black and did dots everywhere else
These are just stunning, I love the hearts! One question: How do you make the graduated sizes of dots around a larger dot, when you are using one tool? I'm confused about that. Thank you!!
Hello Happy a good tool leaves decreasing size dots as you "walk" downward or around a larger dot. Trick is you dip in paint once, then dot dot dot till you fill your space or finish the line. It's what's she means when she says "walk the dots"
Thanks so much for answering me, I was really wondering about this! So the dots are decreasing in size because there's less paint on the tool with each subsequent dot? Thank you!
Beautiful thank you...Where did you get the smaller tools that you used?? If you don't mind me asking 😀
The tools are listed in the comments. The smallest ones are clay sculpting tools/stylus that I bought in a set on eBay.
Where did you find the stone, it's perfect.
Most of my stones are ones that I hunt for and buy at my local landscape supply stone yard. This one was from a river bed.
Can you tell us what set of wooden dotting tools did you show in this video? I love the heart design and want to give them a try.
It is a polymer clay sculpting tool that I bought on Amazon. www.amazon.com/Vktech-Polymer-Ceramics-Sculpting-Modeling/dp/B00BYPNPSY/ref=sr_1_25?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1510600564&sr=1-25&keywords=polymer+clay+tools
I just bought a set of these tools at Harbor Freight for $10.99
Where do you buy the stones?
Hi Kristin.... Have base coated about a dozen rocks in all sorts of colors and designs... can't wait to dot paint them..... I purchase a set of these Pittsburgh tools.... great deal $8.00 can't wait to use them.... question... do you sign your rocks and if so... what type of medium/devise to you use.....
Margareth, Hello, where did you find them for $8.00?
so very lovely! How long have you been doing 'dot' art?
I started last summer with my ten year old daughter...just looking for something fun to do together.
Woher bekommt man die schönen Steine zum Bemalen?
Lg 🍒
What are the things you are using to make the larger dotsJanet
They are listed in the comments! yYou can buy the Transfer punch set on amazon, and the small clay sculpture tools on eBay.
Where can i buy those doting tolls please
I bought mine on amazon.
What kind of paint works best?
Craft acrylics are really varried in their thickness, color saturation, and elasticity. I use Martha Stewart, Americana and Folkart brands the most...and I will mix drops of Golden Fluid artist quality paints to boost the color saturation, or thin them out.
thanks so much
Which paint are you using in this video
They are all listed in the comments. Thank you for watching!
What kind of pencil are you using to draw your guidelines on your rocks? I was told to look for a chalk pencil, but haven't found one and I am not sure if that is correct anyways. Thank you in advance for your input. Your rocks are beautiful! :)
Theresa Johnson Hi, it looks like she is using a Dressmakers Chalk Pencil. You can find them where they sell Fabric, like at Joannes or Hobby Lobby, maybe Walmart in the Sewing Notions.
Bonjour
J'apprécie beaucoup toutes vos vidéos c'est très beau ce que vous faites.
Seul regret c'est que je ne trouve pas vos outils en France. J'ai une sœur à New York pourriez vous me dire si on peut trouver ces outils à New York.
Mes remerciements
Gorgeous as always! Do you prefer the crochet hooks or the punch tools?
They are pros and cons with both. The punch tools are heavier, but with 28 sizes I can really get the exact size circle and sometimes that makes a big difference when I are trying to fill space.
Regretfully, the MoreZMore 8 ball tool set it out of stock :(... no worries cause I have the other tools that will work just fine...
Pongan e n cstellano
Beautiful, thank you.
I appreciate it so much!
Beautiful!!!
