I'm interested in the Tactile Enhanced one. I have one of their older TKL clicky keyboards and love it. I also like how their newer boards have control over the switches and RGB with software.
Thank you! I don't see anything on their site for switches by themselves. This page has the most info I could find on types of switches/specs: hexgears.com/pages/know-your-keyboard
These keyboards look fantastic and sounds great aswell! (Maybe the clicky one is better, but this is just my being used to mechanical keyboards). I'm using a compact mechanicak keyboard as I couldn't take all my set up when I move out, I wish I knew low profile ones existed, they seem much more comfortable
Thanks for making this review! I just started my search into the mechanical keyboard journey and have limited experience with different switches. This one looks great and sounds great. I saw some of your other video reviews for gaming laptops. Personally I think the Asus TUF is underrated. I got the best buy rtx 4070 version for under $1000 on sale and it's one of my best purchases despite it having DDR4 ram and earlier model intel CPU. I actually returned many higher model laptops to keep that one. Returned a Lenovo Legion Slim, ASUS ROG Strix, Acer Predator some with 1600p screens. The 1080p screen on the Asus TUF just really looks great and has fantastic bright colors which won me over as well as with the nice pricepoint and rtx 4070. Count me in for the giveaway please ☺
@@spencerz2 nice! The TUF really is one of the best value options out there. If you don’t care about the absolute latest and greatest then you can save a ton of money going that route. Plus in FHD you’ll actually be getting more fps than a lot of people get in QHD on other laptops 🤣
How's the Bluetooth/2.4ghz range of this thing? I'm supposed to have won one of these through a giveaway. Hopefully It was a real giveaway, this keyboard looks slick. Would work well in my living room, while connected to the computer in the other room. I'll be 35 feet from the computer so I was hoping the Bluetooth on this keyboard had enough range. As the current one I am using with a 2.4ghz dongle isn't working at that range. Edit: Finally received the keyboard. This by far is the nicest keyboard I have ever owned. I've owned a few high end Corsair mechanical keyboards. But this keyboard is at a level above what those were doing. Hexgear has a banger of a product here.
Ok reporting back! The range is SUPER impressive on both 2.4ghz AND bluetooth! I walked around my whole house typing ABC's and it didn't miss a single letter. At the furthest, I was 3 rooms away with 2 walls in between, probably about 50-60 feet, and no letters missed still.
Hello, may I ask when there will be a video on the Lenovo Legion 7 2024 laptop and if you might already have it in progress? Also, will there be a comparison with the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16? Thank you in advance for your response.☺
@@Dean7 yep, that’s up next! G16 AMD review with some comparisons to Legion 7. Although after testing, I really don’t understand picking the Legion 7, just my quick take on it. Worse battery life, worse display, worse chassis, good peak performance on the CPU and all but not really efficient at all. Most programs won’t push the cpu hard enough to notice a difference there anyway
@@JoshCravesTech Oh, I'm actually writing from a Legion 7 right now...😀 I think the Legion 7 is a bit cheaper and can be upgraded more easily, it has per-key RGB, and I personally prefer the Lenovo keyboard with a numpad, but I know you prefer a beautifully centered keyboard without numpad. Some people maybe prefer IPS over OLED because of PWM, and I feel like the G16’s glossy OLED display is a bit dim, it could be brighter at least 600+ nits for a glossy screen. The 430 nits on the matte display of the Legion 7 is fine. Otherwise, I agree with you, and who knows, maybe next year I'll switch to a new G16 instead.☺
@@Dean7 yeah, that’s a good point about per-key and numpad! Oh and swappable ram can be a big one. I think it comes down to just some of those personal things. I did notice the G16’s display gets much brighter than the Legion’s in HDR though, I have some side-by-side footage that is pretty crazy! But overall it’s a great laptop still! The Intel G16 has gone on sale as low as $1399 here, making it $600 cheaper than the Legion and $900 cheaper than the AMD G16 which is crazy. The AMD G16 hasn’t gone on sale yet and the $2299 price tag is a little ridiculous honestly. Even $2000 for the Legion 7 is too high for what you get imo.
@@JoshCravesTech I bought the Legion 7 in May and I don't think there were any discounts at that time, but yes, the prices of today's premium laptops are too high. I'm satisfied with the Legion 7, but I'm frustrated by one thing: the hinges squeak a bit when closing the lid, and Hardware Canucks also complained about this. Do the hinges squeak on your Legion 7 too?
Hey man I would love one of these keyboards. So enter me in the giveaway. I like the build style with the aluminum and being low profile. I feel like most keyboards are not low profile style and I don’t like the chunky style keys. I like that rgb customization as well. Shoutout to you man! All of your videos are still the best keep up the good work. 😊
Josh, you're so late to the party bro. No one cares about Hexgears and some mechnical switch. You should be reviewing the difference in HE keyboards. Like the Wooting 60he vs the Keychron Q1 He vs the NuPhy Field75 HE. In six months, NO ONE WILL BUY MECHANICAL KEYBOARDS FOR GAMING. That said, everyone knows that NuPhy makes the best low profile keyboards.
Oh wow, I had no idea! Thanks for the heads-up, Nostradamus. I’ll be sure to tell the millions of mechanical keyboard users that their setups are officially irrelevant. Maybe I'll start by breaking the news to esports players-poor souls still living in the dark ages of switches. As for NuPhy, hey, if I need a keyboard to match my coffee table aesthetics, I'll definitely keep them in mind.

@@CedricOwens yeah I’d say the silent is my favorite but the tactile feels super nice too, like the perfect hybrid between linear and clicky

Just read your edited comment, glad you’re digging it! They really are dope
anyone knows what keycaps are compatible with this keyboard?
Is the RGB brighter on the linear one or same on all switches?
Brighter on the linear, I think maybe because the switches are clear but not 100% sure

How much of an ergonomic benefit do low profile keyboards really provide because it seems to me its not that much
