Tip: Don't use air vent phone holders, when its cold and you have hot air running, it can heat-up the phone and cause it to shutdown to keep the battery from exploding. Also damaging the battery life due to high temperature.
@@m5a159 It actually can and on a really cold day when my vents were blowing hot air after about 45 min while my phone was on navigation it froze and was displaying High temperature warning. Just a tip from my experience :)

@A S Where I live, the latest stats are that more than 50% of accidents are caused by distracted driving (using your phone, reading, eating, drinking, even using GPS), not DUI. In my province (I live in Canada), distracted driving is the number 1 cause of accidents. Personally, my phone stays in my purse, and I never take it out. I just never have any need to use it. Handling a phone while driving is illegal here, but I still see so many people talking and texting on their phones almost every day.
I just bought a new car and those car nets, for the trunk/cargo area are the best thing ever! Now, outside of some of the other trunk organizers I use, I can keep things, like paperwork, scrapers, cleaners and brushes, ropes, bags, pet seat covers, etc. completely visible, but organized and easy to spot, even in the worst of circumstances.
LOVE Ashley's haircut/half side undercut! Other things you should have in your car by the spare tire: Carjack and tire iron, which you can use easily (generally the one that comes with the car isn't easy to use, or try to use it [in the dark] to remove any tire). 2-3 roadside reflective stands, A copy of your driver's license/ID card/passport just in case your wallet is stolen and some cash (up to $200) for any random roadside emergency (if the wallet is stolen) all in an envelope by the spare tire. A baggy of a soft towel to clean anything or kneel. One in the back by the tire and the rest in the front under the seats, to do other cleaning. Two pens in the glove box, a pad of paper for notes, and two DMV SR1 accident forms: www.dmv.ca.gov/web/eng_pdf/sr1.pdf so you can the other party can fill one out incase of a accident.
Always take pictures with your camera of both cars, the other parties face(s), their DL and insurance, phone numbers, and police report. email those to yourself so if you lose your phone your not at a totally lost. Have this info ready when you call your insurance. they generally need more info than the SR1 and remember to report any accident to the DMV ASAP.
Damn I wish she could come to my house and organize it. I live in an actual hoarding situation. My parents need this type of help! I love these type of videos by the way.
A S I’m pretty sure it’s because my mom has been through some very traumatic stuff she has never dealt with. She refuses to go to any type of doctor. We have cleaned house so many times expecting to keep it clean, but it never has. It’s gotten a little better throughout the years, as I got old enough to clean it. I don’t what to do, it’s been almost 17 years.
The app is kindda cheesy, but it's a really effective idea. Having some kind of alert when you handle your phone is a great reminder that we can set it down. Start your podcast, audio book, or playlist before you start driving and leave it alone! I also like that it forces you to have that conversation. It drives me nuts that one of my friends plays Pokemon Go every time he drives. I always take it from him and play for him while he drives. I wish I had a way to get across how scared it makes me thinking about he's not paying attention to the road.

A few more things you need to keep in there. I love your organizing videos! You inspired me to get safe with my phone. I live in Louisiana and they don’t require hands free driving. That means that the Bluetooth speaker I used in PA to talk on the phone is dead with no charge. I’m gonna dig that out and get my phone out of the windshield
Honestly, I always find myself more stressed and less concentrated on the now when I have a clutter in my car and home. I go through Decluttering and organizing often on my own. Afterwards it just feels so nice. Also, I use the "black ice" pine tree for my car to smell fresh and new. ❤

Very good video! Though I had to giggle because as a traveling equestrian, I have a smaller vehicle that has to store so much, which includes riding gear for all seasons/teaching gear/show gear as well as food/basics etc. I do miss having a bigger car, but I love my Honda :D

I makes more sense to have it at the bottom of the windshield bc it takes up such a small amount of space, to where it's not actually making a difference in your view, but you don't have to take your eyes away from the windshield at all. Maybe that's just me.
For the waterbottle, the starw water bottle was a good idea but I know those tall metal water bottles are popular right now so here is a tip: put the water bottle between your thighs, hold it and uncap it with one hand, put the lid in the cupholder, raise the water bottle to your mouth, and drink. If possible, pull over of course but l that process is all one handed and you do not have to take your eyes off the road. Also, when you are done drinking, you can put the bottle in the second cupholder or put it back in your thighs and out the lid on but dont tighten it. Then next time you want to drink, just pop the top off and drink from cup holder allowing for more mobility with legs
