    I really like the catch rate in this game, gets a bit boring in the other games to throw dusk balls/ultra balls for 15-30min just for it to struggle.

      @@Trash_Bin20 Same sorta thing with me, except I like to match groups in the same ball, like if I end up with Regirock in an Net Ball, then I try to do the same for Registeel, Regice, and Regigigas. Which sucks sometimes, I wound up with Azelf in a regular Poké Ball, which means I need to do the same for Mesprit, a roaming legendary, that loves to run away after one turn, it took me a month and a half. Ouch.

      Pokeballs always gotta fit the Pokemon. Quickballs usually for Electric-types, Duskballs for Dark, Ghost or Poison-types, etc.

    Just running up to a legendary, throwing mud in it's face, and then capturing it in a ball(which they have never seen before being as they are new inventions) feels so disrepectful and I loved it 😂

    Creslia is an absolute unit when you catch it. Self healing with evasion and tanky stats. Helped carry me through giratina

      My Dustox with Shadow Ball carried me through Giratina (the catching part). Giratina kept missing Phantom Forces and then when it hit Phantom Force my Dustox ended up living on ~1 HP and on that same turn I caught Giratina.

      @@BreadBup talk about luck, I used as many grit items as possible and got all my legendaries at 10 EVS to get safe and still haven’t finished (I’m also just bad)

    I loved not having to "classic battle" every legendary, it was such a nice change of pace, but some felt like minibosses more than actual bosses.
    I used normal pokeballs in my playthrough because I enjoy making things more difficult to catch, and it felt like the catch rate went up with my star rank.

      I don't know if it's true but I did see online people say your star rank does make it easier to catch Pokemon.

      Listen idk if that’s true or not but all I know is that once I caught Dialga and Palkia I could one-shot Zoroark with a regular poke ball and it caught the first time I threw it. It’s psycho.

    I like this change: bringing a legendary to 1 hp + status may be challenging and fun but I never found the tens of balls needed to be thrown while resisting the enemy's attacks a very fun part of the process. Higher catch rate is very welcome as is a more difficult fight like this, dark souls style, where the player himself fights.

    Agreed. Giratina Was an INSANE BOSS FIGHT! But then when it came to catching him, I took him only to half health, tossed a gigaton ball, and that was that 😅

      Volo then giratina with no break is the hardest boss fight in pokemon since Red in gsc

      best way to beat that is spam cresselias signature move and hope for good rng
      and bring out uxie for that fat defense stat

    Theory: Maybe legendaries are hard to catch in the future because they form a sort of resistance to pokeballs.

      That’ll actually is a neat theory. Because the legendaries are all meant to be the same while the everyday Pokémon are all new ones

      @@liluziintrovert To support this theory, I saw a reddit post discussing the possibility of legendary pokémon being immortal (which makes sense since most of them are physical embodiments of nature). Whenever a trainer characters catches them, they decide to stick with them until the trainer passes away. Upon their death, the legendary releases itself back into the wild.

    A little tip I've learned when playing: when you're catching pokemon, if the ball bounces only once and it's a little jump, then you've caught it, 100%. If the ball jumps multiple times in rapidly, there's a higher chance it breaks out

      @@DijaVlogsGames I think its more relevant in this game because of how the overworld works. If you see the single bounce you can pretty safely move on to what you're doing next, whereas in other games whether its guaranteed or not it just drops you back in the the battle interface regardless.

    I think the challenge of having to break each legenday pokémon’s “shield” to allow a ball to get it is a great way to spice it up. Some more variety in the methods needed to break the shield would be cool, but as this is the first game like this, it’s understandable. Definitely much more fun than the dusk ball grind of old

    Going up to a legendary and having the chance to do a dynamic catch, avoiding attacks, or sending out pokemon to battle, even sneaking around some of them? This is a incredible change for pokemon and it is definitely for the better

    I like the better catch rates but I wish the legendaries had boss fights like the frenzied nobles

      this. the softcore darksoul/actionrpg element of the noble fights is awesome. should be in all of the fights. and once the "frenzy" bar reaches 0 you get to stun with sticky globs and throw balls at it fro 30sec or so at which point the bar will reset to 50% (as to keep it in the "enrage phase" of the fights) until you either catch it or die.

      @@tiyangina3571 as much as i love this, there are people who will feel so much different and maybe they wont like it. Maybe to satisfy both people they can choose to immediately fight with pokemon or just fighting like a dark souls boss or the normal pokemon fight since well strategy is sometimes more fun

    I can relate to the exact setting this video had, Legendary’s in the early games were a real pain to deal with, especially the lake trio in DP (which for me, took about approximately an hour and 30 to catch all 3) and it was for the sake of their catch rate of 3 which is the lowest possible catch rate for every legendary Pokémon. But know that I’ve been catching all of the other legendary Pokémon quite fairly easy in Legends Arceus, I would say this was a good change since everyone can now catch these Pokémon without suffering.

    Love this new way of catching legendaries. Way more fun than the classic match where you throw balls for minutes hoping the pokemon doesn't kill himself with struggle.
    However, I'd prefer something like Landorus&co, a bit more challenging

      I did all of those before I remembered smoke bombs were a thing. Those guys are so frustrating without them, especially the last one, as there are a ton of hostile pokemon around that won't leave you alone. Died 6 times to them.

    So I battled all my Legendaries instead of catching them by stunning them, and I think I got all of them on the first try except one (can't remember who though). I have to agree with Austin, I prefer this to the old system of just chucking balls repeatedly for ages, but I would like it if they were a *little* more challenging. Maybe like a 20% catch rate (at low health) so you can get them in around 5 or 6 tries on average, but still have them struggle against you a bit.
    Edit: Had to alternative idea after I posted this: Slowly increasing odds over time as you wear them down. I.e. the first ball has a low chance like 2% or something, and every time it fails it increases the chance slightly so that it doesn't last forever while still being somewhat of a challenge to actually capture them.

    I love that the returning legendaries got signature moves or a new signature move like cresselia lunar dance was never really good but her new move is sm better. The genies get their own moves. The lake trio get a good move too which goes so well for their stats.

      Manaphy also got a new op move. Like my Manaphy literally 3-Shotted both phases of Giratina thanks to Take Heart.

      @Jorge Frade Hardly. Sleep itself in other entries gaurantees a missed turn at least. Growing drowsy in this gaurantees nothing.
      Darkrai is frail as hell too. If your dark void misses or doesnt sleep, your going to take serious damage or get ohko’d, anything but op.

      It reduces defence + drawsy which takes increased damage + 50% chance of not moving. 90% acc seems kinda broken to me

      Recover
      Calm mind
      Mystical Fire
      Judgement
      Attack/defense buff setup
      heals
      Mystical fire to reduce enemy damage
      Judgement one shots everything as its always supereffective
      Or Cresselia(bold preferably) with
      Lunar Dance(heals opponents miss)
      Calm mind(buff defence & destroy with offence)
      Psychic(because cresselia gets bonus damage as a psychic type)
      Moonblast(wrecks dragons & dark type who threaten cresselia)
      Both those pokemon can wipe out volo & giratina without even needing other pokemon/revives or potions. If you think Darkrai is OP you need to explore your other options ;).

      No. That won't do. Because that would mean all games have to be like legends arceus. I'm fine with some features moving into the main games and I'd also love to see legends be a recurring series. But they are 2 separate genres.
      Instead what I think should happen is first they make them harder to find maybe put in some sort of side story Instead of just sitting in the cave. Next they put a really hard fight you have to beat. Something like a Necrozma fight boost their stats up give them a good move pool. But the ultimately the distinction should be made that the main series is mostly about battling the opponent. Where as I think legends should be this dodge sort of boss fight. It doesn't mean legends shouldn't have regular battles but I think there should be a line drawn between the two. And for the love of Arceus never bring the agile and strong style to the main games.

    Btw, did you know that when in a pokemon battle, you can press X to go to items, then select the ball you wanna throw, and press ZR to throw it? don't have to go to items menu

    What's with the hate on Blaine's? His info is pretty accurate, unless I'm missing something? Not sure why the hate tho and calling him Verlisify 2.0. Velisify is just straight up mental and Blaine's doesn't seem bad at all. If anyone knows pls fill me in

      Blaine's took code from Duncan's trading bot for SW/SH and monetised it in his discord. When Duncan called him out on it Blaine's got big mad and ended up getting his followers to report Duncan on every platform resulting in Duncan getting banned on Twitch and Twitter.

    I really really like the changes that have come. Don’t get me wrong, I love the other format Pokémon games too. But they get repetitive honestly. This is such a fresh new change and honestly scratched some of my favorite gameplay itches, like all the little side quests and being able to have shiny Pokémon in your town if you do the work. It’s a welcome change.
    And I’ve really been enjoying your videos. Rapidly become basically the only content creator for this game I follow : ) can’t wait to see more of your vids!

    I love the change to the catch rate, but i’d like it if the pokemon would try to dodge my sticky globs and stuff. It felt too easy, not because of the catch rate, but they were really quick to stun with sticky globs. I wanted more of a dodging battle with it, where i needed to get around all it’s attacks, while trying to throw sticky globs.
    All in all, i’m still loving the game though. Everything here has been such a fun experience compared to normal pokemon games :)

    After the latest patch to the game, there's a game breaking bug involving Cresselia. If you capture her before talking to Warden Melli, Cresselia will not give you the plate, and a cutscene will activate where Melli asks you to capture Cresselia, which is now impossible since it's already been captured and does not respawn. Please make a video covering this bug so that Game Freak / Nintendo / the internet becomes avidly aware of the bug so that it can be patched to help those who have been unable to finish the game because of it!

    You summed it up perfectly. The journey toward the Pokémon, the discovery, and the initial fighting is fun. Throwing stack upon stack of balls at it while it constantly breaks out is the worst.

    I love the challenge of the other legendary Pokemon you didn't show. I think a balance of a trial with the legendary and a battle with a high chance of catching is a good recipe to have.

    I think this is a great change. For those of us that love being able to bonk and catch them, feels much less RNG. You have the option to do classic mode (battle and all), but seems less stupidly RNG. My biggest gripe was the SHEER RNG of *catching* things. I'm big on the journey being what matters, make THAT challenging if anything...not the actual catch rate. That's always been my stance, I think this is a great and welcome change. I don't think it would be bad to give them a bit more of a fight outside of classic modeing them, they ARE legendary so having an out of combat fight would be justified for them. That's the only thing I think I'd change mainly. Instead of the catch rate making us want to throw ourselves in the mire, make it a tricky battle if we're not going classic mode.

    @4:04 did u know, you could throw pokeballs the same way as in overworld during battle, instead of going through the inventory? Just press X to switch back to ball loadout, and press the R throw button :o)

    I think that it is great but they need to expand on it
    They could could do this by changing the catch rate or making them take more hits from sticky globs or maybe even you can’t use sticky globs and instead there is a quest to go and get an item that can only be used for stunning heatran and each legendary has there own item that you have to use
    Or even a certain type of Pokémon that only works for legendary Pokémon

    Sticky globs are the best item in this game.
    I heard there are reverse controls in the Cresellia battle. The reason I said "I heard" is because I had 5 Warding Charms in my satchel when I entered the Cresellia battle, and I never got the reverse control status in the whole battle.
    But yeah all 5 of them sacrificed to protect me during the battle. I eventually caught Cresellia once the fifth charm dissappeared.

    I halfway agree. Mainline games have pretty much always been a pain to catch low catch rate pokemon because it was always just one more thing you had to grind in a grind heavy game series. It is nice that you have a way that you can catch these pokemon that doesn't have such a high rate of failure/risk of having to start all over. I would, however have preferred if all of them instead went with the frenzy method of capture. Call it something else to make it mesh better, I don't know, but, spoiler coming so avoid if you haven't completely finished the main line quests, the Arceus fight was so much more fulfilling to win. It needed some balancing to be sure. If you get hit and don't start spamming dodge, you will be stun locked until you black out, but for the most part, that was the first time catching a legendary actually felt like I had done something to earn it rather than just showing up and throwing a bunch of balls at it.

    one thing I think they should do (At least if they make for "Legends" games), is make the legendries work like the Royal pokemon, were you need to go through an actual fight to beat them, but then at the end they become open to catch, maybe in a cutscene like when you throw the last Balm

    Anyone else have weird instances in the game where the game SAYS that a Pokemon is Targeting you but nothing around you is attacking you? I waited for five minutes for something to attack me and yet nothing did. It usually happens when you defeat a Pokemon that just attacked you like I did with a Staravia targeting me. I had to travel quite a ways across the map in order for the icon to disappear and allow my character to heal.

    My personal favourite system is the one they used in Let‘s Go, where Mewtwo was as a challenging final boss you had to defeat before you had the chance to catch him. The newer games have so many different balls (Quickball, Duskball) that you KNOW you‘ll catch them. It’s just boring labour throwing balls at it until it’s caught.

    FYI when you are in a battle you don’t have to hit up on the D-pad. Hit X and use L and R to scroll through your items. Then ZR followed by A to use the item. I have never gone into the menu to throw a pokeball

    I want to see something similar to BOTW dungeons where legendaries reside. Regigigas is at least somewhat more in that direction in this game. Pair that with ever-so-slightly harder catch rates and the item throwing with option to battle, and make it where they're not immediately able to be caught as soon as the cut scene ends

    I believe this process is much more engaging and fun and should definitely continue for (hopefully) future installments of Legends Arceus. I would like to see those future legendaries be more difficult to catch by fighting them the same you would the frenzied nobles. I've read a lot of other comments here where people have the same idea

    great video, just one thing i'm not sure you are aware of or just choose not to do it, while battling you can just press "x" to switch between items and pokemon (just as when you are walking around) and press ZR to throw the ball without actually opening the item menu in battle.

    Does this work? yes-only in this situation. We've already faced all these legendaries many times over but this fits the way the rest of the game works. should this be the way legendary pkmn work for the rest of games coming?-no.

    I feel like a great idea for legend Pokémon is for them to have been like a mini boss within the game. Kinda like the frenzy Pokémon battles, but the moves would be similar to their own typing.

    Austin, just had the mission 23 Cresselia glitch happen to me, you seen this? they said they'd fix it on the next update, but if you talk about it, the patch could come sooner as more (& more important) people are talking about it. Can't finish the game until this is fixed 😵‍💫

    I was actually shocked when I caught like 10 legendaries in an hour after beating the base game. I was on discord with my friend when the credits rolled and was like, "Cool, now the hundred hours of legendary hunting begins." And then it was like ... oh, nevermind. I'm done already. lol
    I don't "mind" it, persay, but I just wasn't expecting it. I do agree that the challenge should be shifted to actually getting to the encounter / figuring out puzzles / whatever, instead of just making the encounter take 30 ultra balls like before. So on that front, it's a welcome change. I think they were a bit too easy all around in this iteration, though. :P

    Im a pretty casual Pokemon player, ive never completed a pokedex, and have only played a handfull of pokemon games.
    Im 40 pokemon away from having a completed dex, and thinking about going for a perfected dex, I'm going to start a second game to give all the villagers Alpha pokemon.
    The catch rate, and game play mechanics made a massive difference for me.

    The problem is that there’s such less difficulty left to the battles that they become less rememberable. Though, I like what they did with the sea legends quest boss. Having side kicks alongside made it more difficult to not be hit and more rewarding when I finally caught everything.
    The quelling mechanic would have been great too. Needing to weed away a health bar and then be prompted to throw a ball that’s 100% guaranteed would be 1) a good test of skill and 2) not reliant on just chucking balls for 15-20 mins.
    Would also be cool if the arenas had more terrain or hazards in them. Currently feel kind of bland. More interesting designs like the 3rd nobels arena would be awesome!

    I was able to first ball everything with the exception of Mesprit, broke out 4 times before catching in the 5th ball. I'm fine with the easier catch rates, people can get them in the ball the want and not struggle bus 50 throws or watch them die struggling.

    Talk to the guardian of Moonview Arena BEFORE catching Cresselia otherwise you won't be able to get the plate from the quest

    All fights with legendaries from now on must be, unequivocally, a very close variant to the fights with the noble pokémon, always, if somehow involves your full team of 6 to catch it, even better.

      Or it could be even more awesome if some legendary Pokémon required more than 6 Pokémon so that for one legendary you might bring a partner trainer along with you and they might help you catch the legendary and then in another case you have to get special permission to carry more than 6 Pokémon and we get an actual in game lore explanation for why the maximum is six as this in some way has a negative effect on both you and your team… 🤔😍

    I liked Heatran was a mini boss battle kinda thing to get its fire shield down. I still battled them all, because I enjoy that personally, but making each legendary a different kind of challenge is a welcome change.

    About a week or so ago if I had gone after any of these legendaries I would have failed horribly and died but I learned to catch Pokémon properly, I gathered the materials I needed, improved my craftsmanship and learned to read the pokemon’s movements to optimize opportunities to stun it or at times, dodge its attacks; I came prepared. This is already way more involvement in catching a legendary than anything else I’ve done in Pokémon in years and it would gain very little from being forced to throw more balls just because of an arbitrary catch rate percentage I couldn’t do anything to control. If anything maybe do something along the lines of the frenzied nobles enrage bar that I need to overcome before I can capture it, but just making the Pokémon more easily breakout of the pokèball isn’t gameplay.

    I liked the engagement with the legendaries but I wish all of them had their own dedicated quest for them like how heatran had the stark mountain situation in diamond and pearl, instead of all these legendaries revolving around having to get a plate for a different end goal. When I was battling cresselia it was a great experience but I’m still bummed out that there was no full moon island quest or anything

    I'm kinda torn tbh. Like on the one hand I definitely enjoy being able to just whack pokemon with balls and catch them, especially in the overworld style like this is, however legendaries... BUT you do make a good point about the whole "just being repetitive" thing from prior games so I don't know if that is a good solution either. Perhaps a mix of the "have to battle" (via stun item immunity) however also a forced respawn if you KO + easier in battle catch rate is kept? I forget what, but I know there were some like that where it was like "you can't fail this, so we'll just respawn the pokemon if you accidentally KO".

    Did you ever look into all the side conversations? The lady that’s the ancestor of the Elite Four inside the HQ mentions a painting, do you know what that painting is? Do you also know about the nurse mission with the 100 leaks? Also the hat from “Lucario and the Mystery of Mew,” is in the game as well! 👀 just wanted to bring these up for a video

    Never had a legendary take more than three balls to catch - I've seen one stantler pop out of more balls than that!

    I think they could do it more like the Nobel battles. Where it's like a progress bar with phases and once you've done it you catch the Pokémon.

    I like the harder catch rate for legendary Pokemon. When you have to sink 40 balls into the catch, it shows just how strong that Pokemon really is. Being able to face and catch them without throwing out a Pokemon is pretty cool though, so we'll call it an even trade.
    One of my favorite parts of the Crown Tundra was facing Calyrex on his Ghost Pony. The fight took forever, and it was so satisfying when he finally went into that timer ball.

    Catch rates definitely need to be harder… but the concepts where you have to discover and your character has to fight the legendary yourself is a cool and welcome change. To make it even better I think unique challenges and a similar system to Noble battles would be the best. Not having to throw balms but having to survive the Legendaries onslaught of moves and tricks until it’s tired enough to battle/ catch. The whole point of capturing a legendary Pokémon to me is that it “deems you worthy” and what better way to prove that than a special battle. It definitely needs to take some time tho and they should have no access to healing or self damaging moves. Or maybe even it’s more like the anime where if they get knocked out you get a free chance to throw a ball with a much easier catch rate, but they could have the chance to still break out and you must fight again

    I like to imagine that with mass Pokeball production in the future came quality issues as they were mass produced. They were more plentiful and "cheaper", but also more disposable and the catch rate dropped.
    That's my own head Canon and way to explain it away haha.

    It makes so much sense to have the legendaries fight to defend themselves and be a little tougher than normal pokemon in that regard. I agree that it would be cool for the catching to be *slightly* tougher, because yeah - throwing 30 dusk balls until the damn thing struggles itself to death is horrible!

    I also caught the Legendary Pokémon really easily. Just some Sticky Globs and Gigaton Balls will do the trick. Just a couple minutes ago I caught Tornadus and Thunderus without battling them, and I plan to do the same for Landorus and Him for the Powerpuff Girls.

    I always catch legendaries in pokeballs. It felt like I caught them all in the time it would’ve taken to catch one in the standard games. It saves time and is satisfying, but I feel like it makes the legendaries and mythicals seem like any other random Pokémon

    I think that they should make the gentler legendaries more skittish (like azelf and co, they will run if you do too much noise and you will need to follow them far away) and for the aggressive ones you have to defeat them, but they're stonger in a similar way that alphas are, so you have to endure an hard fight, and int he end you can catch them even with a single ball

    Yeah I've got to agree. I've caught all the pokemon in the previous games in pokeballs and not one of them was something I'd call a challenge. The basic strat is use false swipe if you can't hit them use a move that let's you hit them paralyze them chuck 50ish pokeballs and you'll probably catch it if not just reset. The hardest ones are the ones that are Electric type post gen 4/5 because they can't be paralyzed and the roaming legendary pokemon but even then you get them to 1 hp and paralyze in separate battles then lock them in with mean look and taunt. And most legendary pokemon aren't even hard to get to. So I think giving each their own little mission maybe have another trainer guarding them or someone else trying to catch them. I haven't played the post game yet because I want a good pokemon to use for the post game not just a pokemon I'll throw away or keep boxed. So I'm trying to get an Alpha Shiny. Because Im going for an Alpha living dex. And the shinies are just too small. Haven't found one yet.

    i realy love the way you catch pokemon in this game and legendary/mythical feel like real bosses, hate so much to throw like 50+ duskballs/ultraballs, i remember i spent long time catching palkia/dialga the same with ramanas and the secret legendaries, had to restart the game because it died by struggle or i accidentaly knockout or i was out of pokeballs, this game make sure you catch every pokemon even when you knockout the legendary and make you restart the battle, i realy realy like that.

    I really like how easy it is to access inventory items. Even if you start a battle you just just push x and zr to toss a Pokémon out or to use a poke ball vs scrolling through menus

    I think you should have to fight them with a stat boost, fully IV and EV trained and maybe different weather and terrain to make them formidable and then if you beat them, they're caught automatically or something like that. After catching them, the nature and IVs are randomized like normal

    Just wanted to give a heads up that it's possible to do the cresselia mission out of order (catch, then talk to npc) and if you do, it's not possible to complete the mission (no pokemon to trigger cutscene) So, won't be able to continue in post game past this point.

    Caveat: I’ve not played this far in the game / don’t know the context in which the legendaries appear… I think they should make legendary encounters more similar to Noble Pokémon… that is to say, that you should have some encounter with them during which they are impossible to catch. I also think they should be impossible to catch outside of battle -> or at least should be much much harder to catch outside of battle than this it would be cool if they had a unique mechanic for avoiding capture. But within battle, I welcome the change, once you get it down to next to no health, and especially if you also apply a status condition I’m very happy for one or even two ultra balls or equivalent to be sufficient to catch the legendary Pokémon rather than 20 or 30… if you can’t get its health that low then I think the catch rate should be higher and some comments saying they caught it in a single ultra ball with no damage or got it to half health and caught it on the first throw I think that should be very unlikely and does not sound ideal.

    By the way, you dont have to go to items and select pokeballs, you can just hit X and hit ZR on the pokeball you want to throw.

    Like you said, I think the catch rate should be bumped up a bit. I also think that legendary catchings should be forced into battle kinda like the Lets Go games without the 'you take all its health and you Pokemon Go throw the balls at it' mechanic. I just think that being able to spam stun a legendary Pokemon of all things is kinda weird but its still a welcome change considering I spent like 30 minutes trying to catch Palkia in BDSP last week.....

    End game for me in Pokémon has never been about catching legendaries. So unfortunately, for me, I was a little upset about what the endgame entailed! But what keeps me going is that they’ll almost definitely add stuff for us within 6 months

    I like this EXCEPT Croissant can soft lock the quest if you catch it BEFORE initiating the cutscene with the warden, which is what I and many others have done. So now we are stuck waiting for a patch so we can complete the quest.

    personally i think legendary pokemon/boss pokemon should be more like the dynamax adventures in swsh. a tough battle with a guarunteed catch at the end. add on something like the nobel pokemon fights with the balms or something similar at the beginning and i think thats persfect

    I'm fine with the catch rate and the missions to go get them. I would only change it to being a forced fight and you have to knock them out to have the opportunity to catch them in the new action system or a mix of the noble fights. Do some action "combat", battle, catch. I really enjoyed the ones that had shields and their attacks were themed.

    I would say I liked how easy it was to catch all the legendary Pokémon in this game. I mean for a nostalgic feel I just did the short battle and got there hp low anyway and caught them in 1-3 balls. I accept this change and would like it for newer titles. A part of me also felt it was so easy because it was an in game mission and not so much as find this location and just catch it.

    I was having some trouble starting the fight so to get his tornado down I threw a wing ball at him but even then I wasn't fast enough so I threw 2 next time just to hold him still so I could fight but he stayed in

    I like that they aren't missable by autosave. I imagine autosave in some of the newer games ruined some legendaries for newcomers to the series before now.
    If you accidentally knock out any mythical/rare quest Pokémon here, you can just re-encounter it.

    Yeah I’ve caught every legendary in just regular Pokeballs or Premier Balls since SwSh was released and it was especially easy in PLA. Think Arceus uses the Gen 8 hidden mechanic of boosting catch rate if your team average level is higher than the Pokémon you are trying to catch even more than SwSh and BDSP did. I remember in BDSP with Giratina when my Golduck that knew soak so I could false swipe was still underleveled bc I’d just started my legendary catching career & it took 9 premier balls while the rest were 1-4. PLA Giratina took 1 pokeball at half health with no status.
