On my first run through that temple that Gallade almost annihilated me. Managed to get swiped running by him and dash up the stairs, he then winds up in front of me after charging me leaving me at critical HP lmao. Ended up sacrificing my poor Infernape to escape. I love how vicious these Alphas could be.

Found a random alpha shiny staravia whilst watching this on Ramanas Island, was looking for infernape but thank you for the godlike luck nonetheless :)
Slight, very late, story spoilers for anyone trying to farm alphas as they go, to kind of save you the trouble: There is a point in the story where you will be forced to battle an alpha Hisuian Zoroark that is shiny-locked (it's impossible for it to be shiny) but not gender-locked (I only had to reset the game less than 20 times and got a girl Zoroark twice) and I'm pretty sure isn't nature-locked. The only other spawn-points that even have a chance of Zoroark spawning are both very rare, have an even rarer chance of it being alpha, an even more rarer chance of it being shiny, and a near-impossible chance of it being a girl (not that gender effects anything but I like balancing my teams; 3 boys and 3 girls typically, I assume other people might do that too). An alpha, girl Zoroark is rare enough, I'm not being picky.
I wanna point out that you don't have to do the frenzy for the Mamoswine to spawn. I think once you get Braviary it'll unlock it, because I have Gaeric standing right next to the alpha Mamoswine in my game and it's kinda hilarious
Someone should have made an generic alpha hunters intro it would’ve been sick. Next time Austin does something similar I’m gonna do it. Or ask for help with it because I’m bad at animating lol
When you defeat the noble you can talk to the professor and he will send you back to town but you can leave the town without any else and play normally. You don’t have to start mission 17. The sky stays normal.
Another great video, I just need Swinub and Froslass from that list. On a side note, I'm up to mission to Quell the noble and I had an outbreak in Albaster Icelands. An Alpha Ambipom showed up in the outbreak, I also got a shiny to boot! I took a screenshot of the Alpha has proof.

You said at one point in one of your videos (don't remember which) you said you actively avoid shaking trees and rocks in the post game. For people who don't yet know, you can stand far enough back from a shaking object when you throw your pokemon at it will not start the battle but you will get the items, Ive tested this a lot. Also thank you for all the content you do and have been doing, been. Viewer for some years now.
I have all the pokemon in the game aside from a couple of the starters I'm waiting to get from distortion zones in order with their evolutions in my boxes, a box for my Eevee and all forms, a box for my legendary Pokemon, a box for my unknown caught so far, and a box for my shiny Pokemon I've caught. It was neat to see I did something you did without being influenced lol made me feel cool.
I got a Shiny Alpha Mamoswine when I was going for a Zorua, still going for a Zorua. Still nice to see all the Alphas in this area that could potentially shine
I never had a Gallade in previous games, I don’t know why, but when I came upon the alpha in this game I was like “oh my god!” Forgot that it existed. So I got all panicked and excited but I somehow caught it after one try, it never saw me lol. I was so very impressed with myself.

The same time I was in the ice cave where that alpha froslass was, an alpha misdreavus was also there. I fought misdreavus first and defeated it, but when I ended the battle, the froslass was gone.
Mamoswine was there before I quelled the noble Pokémon. He was there when Gaeric was there and actually hopped on top of him when I was standing next to him before I was about to talk to him 😂
I haven't seen anyone talk about it. But have you noticed that if the pokemon makes a small hop, it means you caught the pokemon? I've never had one break out if there was a small hop. It's like the game is telling you it was caught before the success notification. Not sure if anyone has experienced a pokemon breaking out after a small ball hop. Be great to hear someone mention it. Thanks for all you do, you rock!
Something I feel that not a lot of people have noticed, is that if the pokeball hops up and only has one puff of smoke, it's a guaranteed catch. Three puffs of smoke can go either way.
I actually did walk into the temple and immediately hear the shiny noise and my shiny hunting instincts went bananas. Luckily I had already unlocked the basement. Unluckily it was just a graveler. D:

If you turn on internet connection and automatically connect. You actually pickup real peoples satchels they drop. And if you were to drop yours someone can pick it up and give it back to you.
I really like your videos I found the rare pokemon ones helpful, even the Coronet Highlands one although I had all of them already except two just being the Clefairy and Cleffa. I am waiting for that last one on the Alabaster Icelands and find them really useful. The mistake you made about Togetic and Togekiss was not even your fault. My game did the same thing. When I caught the Togetic in the Crimson Mirelands it said that it was a Togekiss for me too. Thx man!

With Alpha Mammoswine, I was able to get it right after I got Braviary but before I grabbed the ice cube. So the shirtless weirdo was actually standing right where he walks around when I caught it.
You checking the "weather" in the end game made me realize it's the same map for space time distortions, and that they missed a HUGE opportunity to have the space time distortion Pokemon randomly pop in and out across the entire map! Imagine trying to figure out what's wrong and there being an *actual* sense of danger bc there's Scizors and Steelix and Porygon and Magneton chasing you all over Hisui

I’d like to confirm that you don’t have to quell Avalugg to catch the alpha Mamoswine, you only need Braviary. I got chased by that thing countless times doing I forgot what lol.
Could you do a video on Effort Levels, specifically on if there is a difference between raising the effort levels before leveling up or after. Like. Is it a waste to use grit items on a pokemon caught at level 70, and would a low level pokemon raised to 70 with effort levels already up be stronger.
I can just give you the answer, the EV from grit dust don't matter when they're put in, you get the same stats from it either way. That being said I do believe there are still hidden IV stats so Pokemon wont be identical.
I found lucario by accident as i was more interested in catching new mons, than going to meet them all in the middle of the ice filed, most of my mons where only mid 40s, and i caught him as alpha at level 70 and now i just power threw everthing before me LOL

Can you make a guide on how the game decides what to do pay you when you turn in your research tasks please? Do they pay per pokemon and pay more for certain pokemon like alphas, rare, or new pokemon? Do they still pay for pokemon you've caught many of already? Your guides have been amazing! Thank you for all your hard work you've done for us. I'd love to know how to optimize to get the most money out of my time.

I caught an alpha Typhlosion on Level 91. That's the highest level alpha pokemon I have caught so far.

When I find Alpha Garchomp, it was asleep. Alpha Gardevoir surprised me when it used Aura Sphere.

I caught my alpha garchomp while he was sleeping. I popped a stealth spray and smacked it on the head with a leaden ball and caught it no problem
