I think it was not the pitch which deteriorated but english' batsmen approach which was absolutely shattered.
We did witness a few ball turning sharply but that's what happened at hyd on day 5 u can't expect sweeps to do the trick you gotta play the way uzzie did last year and on much much much worse surfaces he was the best batter in that series

@@Xtarsrvit's not just about batting, but look at whole approach, their run rate in batting, and their attacking fields and proactive bowling changes in bowling - basically forcing the issue, and making more things happen in a match overall, than everyone playing slowly and it just being a test of patience - they won't always get it right but atleast they make many of us follow the whole days play rather than just watch the match in the background or watch just the highlights

Test Cricket is not only about scoring runs, its about batting time also which allows the bowlers much needed rest. English bowlers looked Exhausted on day 4, lacked energy.
I think India came out with their A game in England's second innings, curtailing scoring opportunities for Duckett and Crawley.
This was adaptation after analysis. It's not that England didn't go for Bazball today, they weren't allowed to.
On the other hand, when Root and Stokes were quietly going through the overs, it was clear it's not longer about win. Sweep shots were poor choice then.

Just like Bodyline, Bazball is an amazing innovative tactic. The keyword being tactic. It is unreasonable to use it as a template to play test cricket. Excess of anything is not good. Look what it's doing to Joe Root, someone who has played 138 Tests and made more than 11,000 runs.
When you don’t trust your defence, you start sweeping and reverse sweeping. When you don’t sweep or reverse sweep, your untrustworthy defence becomes the reason of humiliating defeat.

All eleven players can't be the same. Some will buy into the new unorthodox, attacking approach like Duckett, Pope, and Bairstow. Crawley has played proper cricket throughout the series, and he has looked good. Root is Test Cricket's best batsman. He should have been left to his own devices. A good strategy by a good captain is to bring together the diverse talents of his team members into a winning strategy. That is mature leadership. Not force everyone into a single template of attack, attack, and attack.

I watched the match unit 3 AM PST Midnight in California, USA wherein India played really well like a Champion Team😀. Turning point of this match is when Root dropped Rohit when Inida was 33-3. 2nd Turning point is Wicket of Root when england was cruising along 2-224 in first inning. I expect this English side to come back strong in 4th Test. But I think India will win the series 3-1 or 4-1 after 5 Test Matches. Jaiswal (only 22 years age) double century with severe hammering of 12 sixes in single inning will surely demorale English bowlers and their spirits...Also KL Rahul will replace Patidar in 4th Test which will only strengthen India Batting. Good luck to English Team😬Next match, India should rest Bumra and bring Washinton Sundar which will strength thier batting
First 3 days sweep and Rever sweep is good but last 2 days it's difficult to sweep ball keep bouncing and Low when Jadeja like bowler bowling wicket to wicket its lbw or bowled

This was one of the best BazBallish pitches ever. Flat for most of the times. They blowed away the match because of their batting definitely. In the first innings they could have gained lead after being 224/2
Even a number 8 batsmen can score centuries in home conditions, players who replicate the same batting/bowling form overseas are the real quality one's.

The pitch was as flat as a road. England scored 200 in 2 sessions on day 2. And on the third morning they threw it away.
Problems with Bazball
1) One gear-Either you go at 100mph or nothing
2) Defense-In order to attack,you must defend first or at least try.
3) Justify failure-A win is a win is a win. Doesn't matter whether you Chandperpaul and Dravid your way to it or add some Sehwag and Gilchrist.

His consistency of achieving victory in 2nd innings chases was a miraculous. But with the demise of his form there is distinctive demise of bazball.
Against the major teams no series has been won after 2022 - new Zealand away, Australia home let's see in India.
Bazball is a mindset but good skilful players are also needed to enforce this philosophy.
Test cricket however needs good game management, good decision making aswell as good players. This is where England lack some credibility.
Bazball is overshadowing the English performance. There is good camaraderie and motivation in the team but really got to look at the skills and makeup of the team . Aggressive batting can be done by anyone but not everyone can get runs through it. The boycotts and pujaras played their own patient way while providing a backbone to the innings. Runs count whether its fast or slow runs is not so important other than in specific requirements As a manager get the best from your diverse team look at the makeup of the players and get them confident to play to their strengths not yours .

It was day 3 first session which was difference. That wasnt bazball.
Not only did England lose by two billion runs, but India still had what 6 wickets in the shed when they declared. Why then is Athers deliberating about hypotheticals, like as if the game was lost when Root reverse sweeped the ball straight to second slip. It's just weirdly parochial analysis lol. Yes Bazball has been gud for England, but this match deserves to be analyzed in isolation for what it was- an absolute stomping, a record win. There should be nothing but scathing criticism for the likes of England.
More concerning is that the England Captain continually tells us how the opinions of the paying public that allows these players to play a game for a living mean nothing.

I love Bazball and I will stand by England, they will have bad days and times when things don't go to plan...However.... They need to sort Root out and let him play his own game as he feels a lot more rushed these days....They need to replace Bairstow, he just isn't the same player now for several years and I feel he is in there because of the past! We no longer really have match winning bowlers like Anderson and Broad used to be, we really need to find some bowlers who can replace those 2 going forward. I love Jimmy but it is time to allow someone younger in the side who can get bedded in....

A poor last 2 days for England but they have built up more than enough credit with the way they have played under stokes. We go again. The obvious criticism is of Root though. One of thw best 3 players in the world and he's thrown out his way of playing and scoring big runs for his ego and desire to hit boundaries. I hope he works it out soon, it's glaring obvious, but as our best ever Batsman lets hope it's the next test and not 2 years down the line
that's right, definitely they have been the more positive team who have come to our country the recent years and have given real challenge which has made Indian team change its strategy and even feel unconfident of defending 400 plus score in home condition but trying to put much more runs not sure how things would go.

India's inexperienced batting has faced inexperienced spinners of England so india have not so much problem but England have to face experienced Indian spinners and 8 wickets have taken by Indian spinners so England have suffered more
