Hey we have some exciting news! We are partnering up with MEP Guy to launch the most effective REVIT courses for MEP designers and engineers! Check out the Electrical course preview and sign up here: www.mepguy.com/electrical
As a special bonus, we're offering a free download of an Electrical Clearance family that anyone can use to designate a "no fly" zone or clearance zone that must be maintained in front of electrical equipment. Drop it anywhere you need folks to keep clear of zappy things!

Thanks for the electrical videos. I normally use the SLD to provide an overview of the electrical system. Then panel schedule for the boards that feed the final circuits - i.e socket outlets (receptacles?), lighting etc

Yea that is a good delineation, and as long as you’re consistent with it, the project should be easy to follow!

Can you make a tutorial on how to make a panel schedule through revit? And also explain what column A, B, and C are and where you get those values?

Do you use Revit for SLD? Or Autocad?

I used to only use AutoCAD and link them into the project. However now that my team spans a few states, it became impractical (needed to vpn in, remap drives and Reload From). I think all our current projects are now done in Revit!

What software do you use for Mac for SLD?

At the moment, we manually draw it in Revit or CAD. There was some interest in buying software but the cost was a little prohibitive for our uses.
