04:17 "The Hayabusa lever aims to combine aspects found in Sanwa Denshi's JLF lever wit those from Seimitsu." I 100% agree with this statement. The Hayabusa lever does a great job finding a middle ground between the Sanwa JLF and the Seimitsu LS-32. Though, I prefer the Seimitsu LS-32 over the Hayabusa but, I would take the Hayabusa over the JLF any day of the week. To bad the parts used in the Hayabusa aren't consistent. I have the HORI Real Arcade Pro.N and have not had any issues with the Hayabusa, I never had any accidental inputs, and the lever is a lot stiffer compared to the one in your video. Maybe, the parts differ per model and series?
I would take the Hayabusa over the JLF any day too man lol. i got the obsidian and the fighting edge and i gotta say i enjoy playing in the hayabusa more than the sanwa.
mine came in this morning and i gotta say i enjoy it more than when i got my obsidian, this thing is a beauty and it barely shows finger print even after long play.
That's exactly why I ordered one! Brushed aluminum doesn't really attract as much fingerprints, plus it's very easy to clean off. I do wash my hands, but natural hand oil still gets on that stuff. I switched to an aluminum balltop on my stick and it's just been pure bliss.
@@tyisafk you get tbe Sanwa parts version? Arcade shock or shockarcade sells them at cist with either sanwa parts or seimetsu parts so they dont even sell hayabysa parts with theirs. I really think the sanwa parts may make it the best stick of all. Almost went razer panthera for $165 all sanwa but the hori's size i like. Even tbe madcatz mived on me and my TE + 2 dodnt last even a year. Pcb died and now no support for madcatz. I have a new pcb but darn, bo harness pkug n play. Too much trouble. Ill probably have to get a brooks universal for microsoft and ps5 future proofing. I figure,a hori woth all sanwa should sell for cost like madcatz sticks do.
I always come back to this review when I want to remember something about this stick, and I always get let down when we get the lever part, this stick is like the Skyrim of sticks if it needs a mod to fix a factory problem.
Yeah. Getting those unintended inputs after holding down sounds CRAZY bad! Is this really a problem with all Fighting Edge sticks? Why don't everyone complain about this?
Great review but i gotta ask. Why do you play like that? Who takes there hands off of the stick while playing? I've been arcade gaming since street fighter 2 and I've seen people remove there hand from the stick. That would make it harder to react in time wouldn't it?
Just ordered one and gonna throw my current aluminum ball topped short throw modded LS-56. :D My current setup is a Mayflash F300 with that stick with regular Sanwa buttons colored in the classic Neo Geo style. I think I'll stick with this stick's stock buttons in the meantime and change them out for GamerFinger CherryMX based screw-on buttons with blue or brown switches with the same color scheme. Will it make me better at fighting games? Hell no. Will it be stylin? yes
I simply don't understand why you would buy this over the Pro N. That one has the same parts, albeit the lever feels a tad more firm than the other ones, the same layout, a start button cover as a replacement for the tournament mode, a headphone jack with way better placement, PS3 compatibility, turbo mode and a taller case which allows for more modding options, including crown joysticks as far as I'm aware. To top it off, it costs 20 bucks less. This honestly just feels like an attempt to resurrect a legendary product while keeping the costs minimal and placing it at a stupidly high price. Good job, Hori!
For the Hori Fighting Edge for the PS4 and PC: a Korean lever with a black bat-top, a light blue sanwa button with a green rim for the X/A button, a red sanwa button with a red rim for the circle/B button, a pink sanwa button with a dark blue rim for the square/X button, a green sanwa button with a yellow-orange rim for the triangle/Y button and five black sanwa buttons with black rims for the L1/LB, L2/LT, R1/RB, R2/RT and start buttons.
it depends on your personal preference, i got both the obsidian and the fighting edge. and i gotta say i lie the hori a little bit more, but the obsidian is a pretty stick too.
You missed commenting on the noir layout which is different than its competitors.

It's the spring, it doesn't have enough tension, same thing happened in mine

yo your music is like twice as loud as you.
😖
This stick looking good.
Two big thumbs up! I’ve been looking for a review on this stick. Thank you so much. You did a fantastic job.

This joystick looks great but I needed something heavy so I bought Qanba Dragon.
One of the best reviews on UA-cam.
Sick beat
Damn, I should’ve bought this one instead of the obsidian.
Nice review you guys.
Whoa a new video. It's been awhile
Can you assign a specific direction for analog stick input into the joystick? For example, left analog left direction to joystick down?

VirgilTheMob link me one then
i like the look of the old one better. at least the new one has better looking buttons.
Waiting for the mod video :)
Hello. Will you be posting in youtube the norcal regionals 2019 sc6 top 8??
i find your tantrum acting funny lol
Does this version still work with ps5 since it was a licensed ps4 controller?
Late response but I've heard it works on PS5 just fine.
The audio jack does not work on pc.
Does anyone know, how this compares to the Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai? We don't get the fighting edge in Germany.

Please how to connect this to ps4 .. doesn’t work :(
The Brook ps3/PS4 converter is not compatible with this stick. Please delete this part of the video

udder
Great video
Is the cable removable?
No idea why they would make a fighting edge that is worse/more limited than the last one.
I've only heard good things bout this stick
Qanba Obsidian much better!
Qanba Obsidian is unavailable in my country
Can you elaborate on why it's worse? I don't have much experience with either.
it depends on your personal preference, i got both the obsidian and the fighting edge. and i gotta say i lie the hori a little bit more, but the obsidian is a pretty stick too.
is the razer panthera better for a new player?
Yes it is
But the touch controls is what made it unique :(
Taken music.
This copyright free bullshit elevator music in the background is not just annoying me it is also louder then your voice.
Lame
