Really hope they give Akechi more development in P5R and maybe even a different ending. Let us see what he had to go through with Shido's mental abuse and the death of his mother. The way he died sucked and was plain nonsensical. Gets killed by a guy with a gun and a few weak shadows when the entire gang can simply outnumber the enemies. Maybe even let him be a permanent party member until the end and give him an ultimate persona.
@@EvelynL.1112 I dont love him, but I sure as hell find him more likeable and sympathetic compared to Adachi. Adachi was being a dick for fun, while Akechi became warped for a reason. The fact that Akechi was playable only temporarily makes me miss him even more.

Actually, Akechi acts completely different from he does in P5 in this game. He's actually quite cooperative and human. I think it's because Yaldabaoth was behind him and everyone is out of his region so he has no control of this place. (Something else is however.) Therefore, anyone affected by him (Thieves, The Twins and Akechi) would be different from inside Yaldy's region since they aren't bound to him for now. In short, I think Akechi didn't show his darker sides and neither does Joker or the twins here because those were all given by Yaldabaoth, if they get out of his region they don't act like they do in P5. (His Region (Mementos) is actually the entire world, not just Tokyo, he just uses Tokyo as a vessel.)
Yaldabaoth doesn't really affect Akechi in the base game though The only time he is brought up in regards in Akechi is when Lavenza mentions that Yaldaboath gave him and Joker their persona abilities. With Akechi being awakened one year before Joker. He doesn't seem to really affect the world or the people until late December in game and when he merges the world with Mementos. Affecting them through their shadow selves in Mementos. Also, the fact that Akechi has a persona in the first place means that he has accepted who he is and merged with his shadow (becoming Loki). So Akechi is fully aware of what he is doing and has no delusions about himself or what he is doing.

Actually he betrays everyone. He's just like you where Yaldabaoth hires him for his solitaire game. It's only he causes social discord, you reform hearts of corrupt people. Also i think he is human here because the way Joker, Akechi, The Twins or anyone affected by Yaldabaoth act are not applicable out of his region (The P5 reality). He just made them act like that for the sake of an entertaining game. This means that as long as anyone under Yaldabaoth's influence gets out of the reality where he is in, they lose the persona they are in his world. But as soon as they return, they are instantly affected again. This is why Akechi didn't want to return since his memories will be wiped out alongside he will take the game persona again. Sketchy Akechi.
He’s so clever, he hasn’t realized that his “companions” have been stringing him along since his confession.
This takes place before that even happens. They don't know shit about him yet.
