For those still extremely confused: The BNC to XLR converter is passive transformer that converts AES3id (75ohm) to AES3 (110ohm) . It is a digital audio. Two channels per one BNC/XLR. Data protocol very similar to SPDIF, but some of the channel status bit has a slightly different meaning. Physical layer is different (different voltage levels and impedances).
No worries on the rate of videos being released to YT. As you point out once the basement studio is done, everything will kick into high gear. And, we can always enjoy your prodigious back catalog, a lot still in those past programs that's valid, applicable today. 👍
Genius! Changing my rifle case rig from extreme iso to constellation 1 m/e and when wiring the multi view into an input it didn’t even occur to me to throw the converter to hdmi in between there to avoid eating up an output for multi view. Thanks for that tip! Gonna rework that part after work tonight.
Im 13 Minutes in to this vide. The first ten minutes were a title screen. Now he is saying hello to everyone in the chat. Are we ever going to get to content?
This was (obviously) a live stream. It was scheduled for a particular time of day, and I took the stream live ten minutes ahead of time so people knew they were in the right place.
Mostly the 2 M/E Advanced Panel. But I've also used JustMacros with X-Keys panels quite a bit too. I never use just the software -- I find it much too limiting.
The media player in the switcher only has enough capacity for a few seconds, and expects "video" in the form of a series of still images so it doesn't accept any type of video file directly.
The Teradek connects to the Ethernet network just like the ATEM and HyperDecks and computers. When I need redundancy I’ll use its WiFi network and connect a phone, or plug a usb modem or hotspot into the Teradek’s USB port.
Have you done any videos about fiber connections and what's needed to get a complete connection from camera to switcher? Currently I'm looking at the BMD Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G, but I can't really understand what I need along with it.
The audio volume is pretty low on the stream. UA-cam says "(content loudness -17.9dB)", so there is a lot of room left. Is there a way to get this higher for future streams?
where do you get your 1u panel and the connectors for the panel you added (you show it ~14:32 in this video)? I need to build one for our rack mount tower. thank you so much!

Couldn't catch the live stream.. But great video, and thanks for all you do Doug!
Great show thanks again Doug
I wish I could understudy with you on set...

I live here in Utah and would be happy to talk to you about editing videos for you.
For control of the Constellation, do you use the ATEM software in a laptop or an ATEM Advanced Panel ?

Can you explain why you use a hyperdeck for playback and not media player integrated in the switcher?

Great video @djp_video . I want to know how you connect the router in relation to the Teradek encoder. Thanks

Great video! what case is that?

@@djp_video Thanks! Those had just the info I needed!
Thanks for the Video, I purchased one of the routers after your last video and they seem great, do you have the link for the external arial kit?

Yes. This stream was thrown together at the last second and I ran out of time to tweak the audio.

Mostly from Markertek. I have a video about building these panels: ua-cam.com/video/V7qHW9qy1-Y/v-deo.html
In 2020 I waited around 15 months for a Sony z190 b&h
We've all been there waiting for some piece of equipment or another.
What do you think of the Z190?
A small flypack is awesome - until you need to replace a cable or two... 😉
Fortunately that doesn't happen very often. :)
