i used to get “health anxiety” panic attacks and the only thing that actually helped take my mind off them was playing plants vs zombies, i played every day until i completed the whole game. I’m all better now and i kind of owe a lot of that to pvz
i was (and still am) going through the worst depressive episode and the only thing that slightly made it better was playing pvz i would play it whenever i got the chance and i really think its the only reason i finished the last school year
Man, I miss PopCap. This, Bejeweled, Insaniquarium, Peggle, Zuma - so many simple, yet genuinely fun little games that we'll basically never see again after they were eaten alive by EA and gutted like a fish. Now they're just another soulless branch of the amorphous, malevolent blob that is EA, a shell of its former self. Rip PopCap.
To be fair Popcap themselves already had issues most don't aknowledge, they were very bad at managing themselves and like the other guy said sometimes stole ideas (Which shocked me as someone who grew up on Zuma). It's not as simple as EA buying Popcap just to ruin them, contrary to what most think, Popcap would've died altogether if they didn't get bought out, and Popcap themselves chose many of their contraversial descisions. For as many glaring issues as EA has, it's not a simple good guy bad guy story.

It's just that the studios either don't hold any IP's that are worth it or that the studios themselves don't do anything regarding working on games that causes EA to shut them down. Popcap at least is still going on and has not been shut down yet (as far as I know). EA buying them at least dictates that they'll live longer for a brief period, but most studios don't take advantage of that.
I like how "Start of Stream," "Starts Talking," and "Plants vs. Zombies" are actually all separate. Not only is it kind of funny, but it's actually also helpful, because I do like to see the start of the stream where Jerma hangs out with chat, but also, I don't like my 44 seconds of just looking at that gif of the solar system thing being wasted.

This is one of my favorite jerma streams. I’ve fallen asleep to it countless times. So enjoyable to get 10-20 minutes in each night. Sadly I’m getting to the end, he’s on the rooftop levels now.

Plants Vs. Zombies was the first game that I really go into. It was the game that made me realize that I loved video games. Seeing jerma play it is a little surreal. It was very wholesome. Made me a very happy andy.

@@vizzy61 i mean it's not like, a huge blunder, but. if you have enough firepower zombies will often not even reach the first wall nut... unless you place it all the way to the right so they run into it as soon as they come on the screen. Basically just results in needing to replace your wall nuts way more often lol

As a devoted pvz fan and someone who probably has actual medically undiagnosed OCD, this stream made me hate Jerma. Like I don't actually hate him, but during this stream specifically, I reverted back to caveman and wanted to STRANGLE him. Mustache doesn't do anything bad, just TYPE IT, STOP PUTTING THE WALLNUTS IN THE FARTHEST LANE, THEY WILL DIE FASTER FOR NO REASON. DON'T PUT MULTIPLE ICE PEAS IN THE SAME LANE WHEN THERE ARE STILL UN-ICE-PEA'D LANES. WHY ARE YOU "PANICKING" AT ONE BROWNCOAT NEAR YOUR HOUSE? JUST PUT A GODDAMN WALLNUT DOWN AND REBUILD YOUR DEFENSE BEHIND IT! WHY ARE YOU SO CONFIDENT IN YOUR INCOMPETENCE? STOP. this was not a chill stream for me and I was actually yelling out loud uncontrollably. (I may have a serious problem.)
