I’ve been playing harp for 20 years. But I still consider myself a novice and just average, maybe not even that. Changing a harp string is the one thing I dislike. I Still haven’t mastered that special figure eight knot and I doubt I ever will. So I just tie a double knot and pull it tight with my teeth. That’s my crazy way of doing it. As a male my hands are slightly larger so when I thread it through some of the holes at the back it can take me ages to do because of the rectangular gaps at the back of the soundboard. I love the harp but changing a string is an absolute chore. But I’ll never stop playing the harp as I love it too much.
