I am honestly shocked, I had thought for sometime the GC was going to be safe for some reason, as it looked in pretty good condition - once again LCC prove me wrong with their destruction policy. Disappointed.
I think it just became unpopular, as have many pubs on the High Street, too many for one catchment area. I don't think there were any outside influences on the decision to close, just basic economics :(
