Alison Roman is like the top car salesman with her recipes. You are convinced by the end of each episode that this is the most superior recipe on the internet
This is by far the most unhinged the editing has ever been on Home Movies and I'm living for it. Also I'm on Dan's side with the hand comment. Usually there is a fish spatula in one hand and a bowl scraper in the other (except when it's in the car).
I have loved this recipe for three summers now, honey, but I want 'em all. But seriously - this tart is SO GOOD. I actually browned the butter for it once and have never gone back to just melting!
Made this last night! So simple, so good!! I topped with whipped creme fraiche! Half cup heavy cream, half cup creme fraiche, tsp sugar, tsp vanilla paste, pinch of salt. Whip! Perfect not too sweet creamy topper!
Used almond flour & reduced butter to 1 stick and crust was so good. Sub cornstarch for flour/ gluten-free. This tart was mind blowing deliciousness ❣️
I finished my crisp this morning for breakfast and immediately had to make another one. It is going in the oven now. This is addictive and super easy to make. Highly recommend!
I used to go pick blueberries with my Native grandmother when I was a kid. I LOVE recipes that put forward wonderful North American ingredients (corn, blueberry in this instance); I adore this recipe, I will try ASAP! Thank you so much! :)
The whole reason I'm doing professional coaching is so I can have the confidence of Alison Roman to wear a white polo when baking with blueberries. I stan a legend.
Alison you’re the only person I trust with dessert recipes. The average dessert is TOO SWEET and not balanced whatsoever. Can’t wait for your new cookbook “Not Too Sweet” (loved your appearance on How Long Gone podcast!) ❤️
Made this last night and had a slice for breakfast! I rarely make desserts and this is my first tart. It was so easy and it’s delicious!! I had vanilla ice cream with it but whipped cream will be so good too. I love a drier, gooey pie and this tart is the perfect balance. No runny fruit!
GURL - You are doing the lawds work baking in this heat, my GOD. Made your butter salmon for dinner and almost died even walking into my kitchen LOVE YOU AS ALWAYS
Perfect! My French exchange student "moms" made tarts almost every day for our afternoon "café," and they taught me -- your technique would make them so happy.
Alison is my best friend, if she had her own Fresh Direct, I'd order it every week. I made her prime rib for Canada Day, went one step further by stuffing the anchovies into the meat.
I live for Alison's highly opinionated position on every possible thing that exists. Crumbles are digusting, sandwiches are overrated, who needs bellpeppers, anchovies will rule the world, dill is king, use your hands to mix, salt your pasta water like the sea... *taking notes*
This tart is sooooo easy to make! I made it four times last week on a family vacation and everyone raved about it! I did a blueberry, a cherry and 2 blackberry. this will be my go-to entertaining desert, it's just too easy!
Oh my goodness, Alison I was going to make a blueberry crumble later this week, but now I guess I MUST make this tart!!! I’ve never used my springform pan so this’ll be my first time! Can’t wait to try!!!🤍🤍🤍
I made this today, used frozen berries and thawed them on paper towels. Added an additional teaspoon of flour to balance the wetness. Can't wait to taste it.
Hello Alison. I made your blueberry tart/crumble today and it was perfect. The most delicious dessert I’ve ever made and tasted so far. Thanks for your recipe💕😘
Alison, you are amazing as always, but, this shout-out goes to your editing crew...seriously, they had me chuckling throughout! 😂🤣 Keep up the great work, Alison and crew!
Alison is seriously awesome. I feel that EVERYTHING I have seen her make is doable by me. That’s a great gift. Plus, her personality is great: perky and exciting without being unbelievably irritating. I will be trying this tart very soon. I checked out Fresh Direct and it appears to have died. Too bad cuz I’m pretty sure Alison liked it for real. Alison, maybe you or one of your fans can suggest an alternative food delivery business that you like a lot? Thanks Ali.👍🏻🥰
I happened to have some containers of blueberries and raspberries that needed to be used ASAP so I made this tart, and it was amazingly good and super easy. Blueberry pie, who? I don’t know her. This is definitely going to be a new staple dessert for me. Thanks, Alison! 💗
Update: made this tart and it’s so amazingly good. I think I’ve been converted from a pie lover to a tart lover 😳 honestly the easiest desert I’ve made this year 🥰
Blueberries are not easy to find in Brazil (and when we do find them they are expensive), so I might give this a try with strawberries. Tart looks delicious!
Yes!!!! I miss blueberry season in MN in my twenties, this per usual is posh rustic beautiful mwugh!!!! Yum!!!!!!!! Oh Daniel, you guys have amazing fun chemistry even if it’s just friendship, I’m here for it.
This is as easy as you said. It was spectacularly delicious. I made it yesterday(7/18) and it’s nearly gone. Just two of us so we are greedy. I willl make this happen again. Thank you
That’s a case of not having had a reeeeeealy good very delicious moreish crumble(yummy fruit topped with lots of buttery bits, and golden and crisp on top)
Ok I love your videos but I was legit mesmerized by the condition of your gorgeous fiddle fig in the background during your FreshDirect plug. She’s stunning.
Dear Alison. Sigh. PIE IS DESSERT FROM THE GODS 😁 but this blueberry corneal tart is a good second 🤣 and totally agree about the perfection of blueberries!
Is this a recipe you'd recommend getting the best blueberries possible for (like from the farmer's market) or are grocery store blueberries just as good?
Could you add an herb to this like basil or something to give it more of an aromatic flavor? If so would you add it after or add straight to the berries??
do you think Dan baked anything? let us know in the comments below
Definitely not
Nope.
If he really wanted to ...
we love you Dan. and those who love you know you did not bake anything
I'm with him, ok relax.

Dan will not be denied. 😂😂😂
@@jeffb2460 I'll deny Dan

But seriously - this tart is SO GOOD. I actually browned the butter for it once and have never gone back to just melting!
excellent comment
100% browned butter was so good for this. i added a couple tablespoons of water to account for water lost just in case
I love the reminder of when she made apple pie. The editor is a mad genius 👏🏾 🤣 😂
I just want to sit on the opposite side of that island and drink wine with Alison while she cooks something incredible...She's just the best!
I've made this tart 3x since watching this and I just love the texture and flavor on its on! It seriously is foolproof. Definite keeper!

adding anchovies into meat, can't get more peak Alison than this (unless maybe you seasoned it all with dill.)

let’s make shirts
Gotta love the stances even if you totally disagree with some!
I get a kick out of it because I'm also particular and want my food a certain way. Why not make it exactly to your specifications?

Update : I made this recipe, and it was absolutely delicious! :-))) Yaaay!!! Thanks Alison Roman!
made this for a cookout yesterday and it was gone in less than 5 mins. absolutely delicious
This tart looks amazing! And your delivery is always priceless!
Got to disagree on the 'crumbles are disgusting' position: a good crumble is a thing of wonder and joy. Blackberry and apple is the best. Ever.
Yes!!!
I think sometimes crumble relies too much on being a crumble and the balance is all off
Who edits these!!! I love every single video but for some reason the editing of this one just got me more than usual. Well done you.
I made a strawberry crumble and called it "Strawberry Summer crumble" cause I only make it during christmas time lol and its just so good.
Thanks for continuing to share your gift of cooking with us… love trying the recipes you make , you make it fun and thanks for keeping it real❤
I make this every summer and it's so so good. THANK YOU
The editing on this one is excellent.
Tart looks nice but wowza, I’m completely in love with your polo! Giving 50s Hollywood star on their day off which is always my style inspo… jadore
Made this with a mix of sour and sweet plums. Amazing and the fruit set beautifully!
It looks gorgeous Alison, and I bet it tastes very delicious too! I’m imagining all kinds of fruit fillings (even 1/2 and 1/2)
I love that this video is trying to start a feud with Past Alison.
This looks delicious and the flashes to the beach of melting butter and sugar sand castles had me actually loling
Same lol
the yassification of blueberry pie 😍 I have to make this now
Update: made this tart and it’s so amazingly good. I think I’ve been converted from a pie lover to a tart lover 😳 honestly the easiest desert I’ve made this year 🥰
Please arabi
the flashbacks to the pie video had me crying, thanks for this :)
I’ve made so many this year, this is just the best!
Whis tart was literally easier then banana bread! A huge summer barbecue success:D So sweet and sour... Next time I will try it with currants.
I just decided that I will never make a pie again. It's tarts from this point on. Thanks for another great recipe, Alison!
I love how they trolled AR with the pie clips lol
:>
First time making a tart, came out great. This is a perfect start to the day with my morning coffee !!
the editing of this video = so good!
Any fruit and crumble tart/pie is a perfect summer dessert.
"I'm not here to say 'I hate pies'", said the woman who rants on all the food she hates every episode. 😂
Blueberries are not easy to find in Brazil (and when we do find them they are expensive), so I might give this a try with strawberries. Tart looks delicious!
That sounds great
As someone who doesn’t love mixing w my hands I DO completely understand what Dan meant by “big hand day!”
That looks absolutely stunning!! Would love to try this out, thanks for sharing! Much love from Singapore ❤️
Yes!!!! I miss blueberry season in MN in my twenties, this per usual is posh rustic beautiful mwugh!!!! Yum!!!!!!!! Oh Daniel, you guys have amazing fun chemistry even if it’s just friendship, I’m here for it.
"How else do I cook recipes Dan?" "I don't know, fish spatula". Cracking up at Dan!!!
CLASSIC Dan
The "Dateline" style pie flashbacks are 💯
so fine.!!!..thnx for this easy recipe!! i am serving it tomorrow nite with friends!!!!
This is as easy as you said. It was spectacularly delicious. I made it yesterday(7/18) and it’s nearly gone. Just two of us so we are greedy. I willl make this happen again. Thank you
Mint Chocolate Cookie! Omg, the BEST flavor of ice cream...yes.
I just bake your recipe and it is delicious and amazing. Thank you.
Lovely (Blackberries for me)! Love the dual crust / streusel use. My love for, and loyalty to, my grocery delivery service is real af too 🤝
“Removable bottom” sounds like a song about a lover swept aside
lmao
This looks great 👍
And I’m making this next week when I get home from picking blueberries 💙
Hi Alison! I just went and picked a bunch of peaches and I need a peach recipe! Much love!
Mmm-mm-m! This is the most pretty blueberry cornmeal tart I've seen! 🤤😍
Amazing video-I love the editing and your obvious knowledge about baking. I need to subscribe immediately
love to imagine Alison’s constantly growing collection of fresh direct totes overwhelming her apartment
honestly love the editing so much!!!!!!
“Literally cooking is done with your hands!”
“Ok. Calm down.”
…. I think the probably just meant like, a spoon. 😂
Dan was just wrong
the good old scoop and level is baaaack baby!
I will be taking the subtle aggression toward crisps personally.
I was recently considering getting rid of my tart pan, but it shall be granted a reprieve in order to make this. It looks so good 🫐
“Crumbles are disgusting”……… girl.
I felt attacked, too.
Alison is just particular, I was hurt when she said she hates all scones too 😅
We all have our preferences, but the way she expresses hers are borderline obnoxious….
Right ? Maybe she has Asperger’s?
That’s a case of not having had a reeeeeealy good very delicious moreish crumble(yummy fruit topped with lots of buttery bits, and golden and crisp on top)
The editing is HILARIOUS!
That looks and sounds amazing. Will try it today.
Nice video, nice blueberry pie recipe, Alison. Greetings from Chile.
Less than 10 tart pans remain as we all purchase anything Alison recommends
Can confirm. I almost died when I finally found a Pyrex pie plate she recommended at the thrift
This is a great pie so good made several times❤
Ok I love your videos but I was legit mesmerized by the condition of your gorgeous fiddle fig in the background during your FreshDirect plug. She’s stunning.
Dear Alison. Sigh. PIE IS DESSERT FROM THE GODS 😁 but this blueberry corneal tart is a good second 🤣 and totally agree about the perfection of blueberries!
The cutback to apple pie had be dead.
Also…would you advise against frozen bluebs?
I’m thinking frozen would have too much liquid but would also love to hear her input as I always have a bag of frozen bluebs on hand
I would defrost them then boil down the juice before adding to filling
Bluebs!
Impressive!! Would love to see more of you, keep sharing… I’m subscribed to your channel!! 🙏
“Previously on home movies…” 😂
you cook really nice I HV tried mony of your receipe and the turned out amazing💯💯💯✅✅💫👍
I love everything you make. But. I also love crumbles, pies, etc.
the pie shimmy lolol
🤣 the pie-eating flashback
Yay just in time for blueberry season! ☺️🫐💕 They’re my new favorite fruit, so I can’t wait to try this recipe! 😊✨
"Crisps" eaten warm haha! Brits just died listening to that sentence
Looks Scrumptious! 💙
Can this be made ahead? If so, how would you store it? Reheat? Thanks!
Made it today. Looks amazing!
Is this a recipe you'd recommend getting the best blueberries possible for (like from the farmer's market) or are grocery store blueberries just as good?
Alison, can you use your direct line to fresh direct to find out when then will go back to reusing the bags??
Perfect for a beautiful presentation!
Will try with blue corn meal & cold pressed corn oil
why have I watched this video like 7 times?
Could frozen fruit work? And cornflour instead of meal?
Could you add an herb to this like basil or something to give it more of an aromatic flavor? If so would you add it after or add straight to the berries??
