Gunite slack adjusters are the industry’s first choice for performance, reliability and safety. Improved braking performance, lower operating costs and reduced down time are just some of the advantages you’ll experience with Gunite Automatic Slack Adjusters.
Accuride recommends the following protective equipment when installing or servicing components:
    • Safety glasses
    • ANSI Level A5 cut resistant gloves for brake drums.
    • Lighter gloves are acceptable for wheels and slack adjusters.
    • Hearing protection if operating impact tools.

Is it possibly that the slack adjuster is over adjusting? I have 1 on a trailer that keeps locking up

Yes it's possible , also check the drum for roundness, this will cause the slack adjuster to tighten on a highspot and lock up on a low spot

@@albundy4341 i replaced the drum and brakes and it still lock up. I finally disconnected the bolt that actuates the automatic slack adjuster. I have to adjust them manually now.

My DP motorhome's slack adjusters seems to have some white color grease in it (later i learned it may be some clay type grease). Before I realized the different grease, I applied 2 short-pumps of red high-temp grease I used for my entire chassis / drive-train. Can this small amount of a different grease cause a problem? Can I flush most of it out by pumping the right grease through the slack-adjuster?

I have one tandem that is dragging and has ruined multiple tires. Did you figure out what the problem was?
