  • Something a little bit different today - Peter gives us a look around his in-progress Ambulance to Campervan conversion where he's converting a UK Ambulance into a Campervan.
Some really fascinating electronics, lighting and other things along the way. This would be of interest to anyone who is converting an ambulance or is considering it or just generally interested!
Some great hints and tips also if you are doing or considering doing the same.

Ride with the reaper taking the soles to the sea side sounds fun 😅

Interesting about all the extra weight built into them, and the carrying weight. Good information though.👍

Although ambulances seem a great idea to convert I’d find the history of the vehicle hard to deal with ( especially as I’ve been taken to hospital in one 😬) interesting conversion. Be nice to see when it’s finished.

Interesting to see all the cabling and pipes and things in them and how it would have been originally built and the helps and also the challenges to undo for a conversion. I hadn’t considered the history or thought about that until someone mentioned it.
You’re absolutely right it will be great to see when it’s completed.
Have a great weekend, all the best, David 👍

Hi David & Rachel. I have never understood why anyone would want to convert and sleep in an ambulance which will have had people die in them. Peter has a lot of work ahead, so good luck to him, but certainly not one for me.. Cheers K.

Good morning, I hadn’t thought about it like that - there’s also the opposite where it may well have saved numerous lives of course in its working life. Interesting perspective.
All the very best, David 👍

Technically no one dies in an ambulance, they die at the hospital 🤔 but I get the point 👍
Doesn't bother me, I live in a house that's over 100 years old and many people have died in there, probably more than have died in my ambulance camper and certainly any ambulance has saved many more lives than it's lost 👌

Do you check with the owner of a house you buy, whether anyone has died in it?
