  • SUKANG SAWSAWAN or SPICED VINEGAR DIPPING SAUCE is a Filipino dipping sauce which is made of vinegar, garlic, onion, chili, and some other spices. It is a ​perfect dip for fried or grilled foods.
    Ingredients:
    Regular Sukang Sawsawan
    1 &1/2 cup vinegar
    1 medium-sized yellow or red onion
    8 cloves garlic
    5 pcs red chilis
    1 pc green chili (optional)
    1 tsp ground pepper
    3 tsp coarse salt
    1 tsp sugar
    1/2 tsp soy sauce
    2nd type of sawsawan
    1 tsp ground pepper
    8 cloves garlic
    3 pcs red chili
    1 pc green chili
    40g ginger
    1 medium-sized onion
    3 tsp coarse salt
    1 tsp sugar
    1/2 tsp soy sauce
    1 & 1/4 cup vinegar

    Thanks for the recipe! We’re Filipino New Yorkers and my children were born here. My daughter loves to use this kind of vinegar dip especially for seafood. We always take a small container with us whenever we go to any seafood buffet restaurant😁. I will definitely make this for her. She calls it “saw-saw” 😁. Thanks again for the video!

    Maiksi lng ang video pero walang nasasayang na bawat segundo. DIRECT TO THE POINT bawat galaw. Di na kelangan ng maraming DALDAL PA. Bawat galaw maiintindihan mo agad at walang destruction habang pinapanuod mo xa.
    Hndi nkka tamad panuorin dhil alam mong walang nasasayang na seconds sa pinapanuod mo.

    When I was a young Marine I was sent to the Philippines and was taught by the locals there how to make this. I still make it to this day. I practically drown my white rice and lumpia in it.

    Yes! Thank you for this kuya. Tagal ko na gusto gumawa nito but i dont know how. Mahal din sa mga grocery nito tas di pa ako sure kng mlinis ba pgkagawa. Salamat po ng mdami.😋😋😋

    The first one is called "Sukang Sinamak" which originated in Iloilo, ginger is also added for sinamak.
    Next one is called "Sukang Pinakurat" originated in ilocos but is uses cane vinegar and sugar cane.

    Mmmmmm love love love pinnakurat sawsawan. Make with sukang ng illocos, but the cili is hard to find here. Pinnakurat it is sooo delicious with grilled meats of any kind. Also good with dumplings, lumpia, or just topping for steamed rice or puto.

    The second one is called Pinakurat here in Mindanao.. But I love better the first sawsawan. Love it! 😍😍😍
