I'll never forget the experience of watching it in IMAX for the first time. Thanks Nolan for making this masterpiece. Thanks Ludwig for your amazing score.

maybe so. but Oppenheimer happened to have that effect on me and that was a personal thing for me... it may not be for others and that's cool.@@tomascech6772
It was a funny experience seeing this in IMAX... Can't remember the last time a packed theater shuffled out as quietly as this when it was over. Not a word. Sobering.
The Oscars have long been afraid to reward popular films with the best awards but hopefully Oppenheimer is good enough that they can’t refuse. Christopher Nolan deserves those trophies.
The main issue is the dominance of superhero movies and franchises/sequels among the popular films over the last decade, hence the lean towards arthouse movies for Best Picture during that time period. This was a rare case where a non-superhero/non-franchise movie actually did well at the box office (on top of being massively acclaimed among critics). EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE was massively popular too (and a box office hit as well thanks to it's insanely low budget) and it won last year. The key is about hitting the perfect sweet spot of making a movie that is non-franchise/non-sequel that resonates with critics, audiences, and Oscar voters alike. Also, it helps that OPPENHEIMER is a technical and acting showcase (almost all Best Picture winners have acting and screenplay nominations), as was EEAAO last year.
Watching this movie in 70mm was probably the best cinematic experience I've ever had. I cannot wait to experience it in IMAX as well. Thanks for bringing it back to the theatres!
This movie may not be everyone’s cup of tea, like looking at it on paper it’s a very long movie, a historical biography and character study with a lot of dialogue between a lot of characters. But no one can deny that this is art, you can say you didn’t enjoy it but it’s impossible to say it’s a bad movie. Like it is a masterpiece and one of those movies that only come around once every few years
This is the best trailer for Oppenheimer yet. We get to see brief shots of the scenes/acting that makes this movie the masterpiece that it is. Like shots of Robert Downy Jr. and Cillian Murphy in their best moments, and scenes like the auditorium and can you hear the music.
Damon was a great actor playing a great character, someone who was clever and making a real contribution rather than an idiot who was there just for the purpose of exposition in the film.
This guy has been a good actor for years. I saw him in The Red Eye for the first time and in some other flicks. He plays a great villain and spoiled snob. This was of course, different.I. wish this unconventionally good-looking actor all the best.
Super amazing and truly one of a kind to have a film of this topic constantly rewatch-able. The talent you have to have to accomplish this is astounding

The minutes before the bomb and the ticking of the CLock in the Background. I was so tense and clung to my seat until the detonation. I never felt that tense in a movie
To achieve greatness, sacrifice is essential without exception, Oppenheimer sacrificed everything to achieve what he achieved, that is essential in life, in all things.
This is such a great experience, it’s such an experience i don’t think i’ll forget, even now i can still hear the song in my head when i learn about nuclear reaction lol😂
"When you see something that is technically sweet, you go ahead and do it and you argue about what to do about it only after you have had your technical success." Robert Oppenheimer

It was late chilly night. It was only me and my friends, waiting for the final bus in a small bus stop at the edge of town because the film tickets were more affordable there. While we wait, we discussed how we're basically living in a post credit scene of Oppenheimer. How the bomb changes great power politics forever. I never felt that feeling before. It was different from watching a documentary, even though both depicts real life. A sense of uneasiness, that someplace, someone only need a press of a button to delete thousands.
NOLAN always makes my mind go beyond where it can go......................THAT'S NOLAN'S MAGIC...........he literally drives me CRAZY.. you have no clue as to what i'm saying. ... i promise you. can you hear the music????????

The soundtrack is so satisfying phenomenal sublime and moving that it can only have been composed by Ludwig Van Beethoven... or someone who has reached his level of finesse and perfection...
Ludwig went out of his mind with the score. Always knew Nolan found a new duo with him since Tenet.
He was better with Zimmer
He won
Imagine what Daniel Pemberton could do with Nolan's directing. They'd be a match in Heaven.
