Finally, someone who realizes the mesh can be white on one side but black on the other for greater visibility! Now I’d love to see what they look like with a layer of silver film, like they use to make make electrostatic discharge bags, behind them!
@@ItsParker1562 Definitely behind the mesh. The idea is to reduce the visibility of the mesh’s pattern, making the lenses look like a more solid white like the comics-but not give the whole lens a mirrored look. Unless that’s what you want!
Dude you are a lifesaver. I have watched so many of these videos trying to figure out the mesh fabric for the lenses and none of the other videos have sourced their materials! Thanks! Awesome video!
Hey that’s good to hear! Those PC fan filters work perfectly for the mesh!! The visibility is great and they are nice and sturdy and easy to work with!
These are literally the best ps4 lenses I’ve seen. Legit your cosplays are so god damn phenomenal! Keep up the great work sebby and don’t let anyone let you down! 👑👑
Thank you! SOOOO MUCH! I’ve tried making my lens with one of the one-way film I could find in my area and it’s pretty blurry, like a very low quality sun glasses plus it gives more of a … like shiny bright silver rather than bright. But after seeing how good visibility is with those mesh, I’m now gonna look into that. Just… Thanks a lots! 🙏🤟🕸
ayeeee good to hear man! glad i could help you out! definitely suggest the PC Fan Filters, they work great, super easy to see out of and you get a lot of them for a good price!
Dump that Diet Dr. Pepper right down the drain where it belongs! 😆 Seriously, great video! It's helping me to make my first set of Spidey eyes. I ordered a pack of the pc fan filters that you're using and noticed there's a smooth side and a rough side on mine. Idk if the ones you use have this...if they do, which side am I painting white? Rough or smooth? Or does it matter? Thanks again for a great tutorial on how to make these. Yours look really great!
Hahaha i know right!😂 But hey thank you i’m glad you found this informative man!! Mine are also like that and i always paint the smooth side white and have that facing outwards! keep the rough side black and facing towards you as it’ll help light not bounce and reflect inside the mask making it easier to see out of!🤟🏼
@@SebbyClemens ok cool thanks, im in the process of making my own ps4 suit and all I've seen people do so far us outline the white parts in either black or white puffy paint but it doesn't look that great
@@freemanwithoutthephd639 yeah I totally agree bro I don’t like that look either. I used white puffy to outline everything as a border for the silicone to sit inside of and it turned out great. I would also suggest getting white pigment for it as well because 90% of people use just the clear dragon skin and it doesn’t look very good but if you mix it with the white pigment it’ll really pop and look like those armor pieces!
this was a really good tutorial. but.... why my friend did you empty an ENTIRE bottle just straight into the sinks. But anyways, the end result was soooo good. loved the music at the start
If it bleeds, your spraying too close. Very light layers of paint and keep your distance when you spray! It takes longer but little by little you got to paint it and it will work. Gotta do multiple light coats until it’s fully white!
Where did you get those magnets from? I do flips with my mask on and the magnets and lenses go flying everywhere. I don’t think they’re strong enough. 😂
I had to eventually take out the clear plastic for Halloween because they fogged a bit and I was wearing the suit for hours. I usually don’t wear these costumes for more than like 5 minutes so fogging is never really an issue. I buy these things, wear them for a few minutes for a video, and then they sit in my closet lol. If you plan to wear these for a longer period of time, definitely check out some anti fog spray, and I’d suggest making bigger/more ventilation holes in the faceshell to help with breathing!
He had them 3D printed However you can cut them out of craft foam and paint them black (or if you want them to last very long spray with black plasti-dip)
@@SebbyClemens So.. I keep the spray paint can a long distance away from the mesh to the point to where it will do the job but it can’t be remotely close to it?
@@jackconway6571 I’m gonna be gluing it between 2 pieces of soda bottle, why does it matter how easily it rips? As for the bug-eye pattern I think I’ll just put that on the plastic with sharpie

What did you use for the white armor parts on the suit? I can see it is kind of raised up but it doesn't look like puffy paint or anything.

Do you have the template for the black part of the lenses? I can’t find any good ones.
How did you glue them on
where did you get those models? (STL)
thanks!
how well is the visibility?
Did you hot glue the filters and soda bottle plastic to the frames or super glue? Same with the small magnets
I used super glue on both! Hot glue is very messy and it doesn’t stay. I used some 30 second curing super glue and it was super strong!
@@SebbyClemens thanks for the reply I’m trying to make my own shell for this Halloween and I was intrigued on this part. You’ve earned a sub mate!
I'mma make a custom mask that's why I'm watching this
Where do you got the 3d print templates of the lenses?
Helmut Ei not templates. They were digital files made by @andrey.blend on Instagram and were then printed by @astonishing.spidey
