The funny thing is that cats will stay alive with or without your corpse because they're natural hunters; so dead cat owners, for their cats, end up pretty much at the same level of any other prey they find in the exteriors.
That's why the song is about dogs, they won't feed by themselves so the owner *please* request them to do so.
Well unfortunately, any animal found to have eaten their dead owner is automatically set to be put down. Once they have a taste for human theres really no telling if they would attack a live human to eat. Its just a risk that cant be taken.

My dog died in 2023 and it may be a while, but it feels like I can still feel the texture of his fur. This song made me cry when I reached the lyric "A silly grin you extend." because he always used to be so expressive, like an actual brother to me. Сейчас я живу в напряжённой обстановке, так скажем, я не боюсь смерти, но я боюсь, что моя кошка останется без хозяйки, она со мной ещё с поры, когда она была котёнком, она совершенно не привыкла к жизни, в которой о ней никто не заботится и мне страшно думать о том, что если я умру она просто не переживёт, поэтому я хочу, чтобы в случае моей смерти моими останками накормили её. Так она сможет в теории протянуть ещё немного, а потом кто знает, может быть её кто-то подберёт, во всяком случае надеюсь на это
