It says to keep 3ft away from prepared food areas - I have one under my kitchen sink on a shelf near stored food products. Is that not a good idea? Earlier google search told me they were safe to use in food prep areas.
Is it overkill to place one on each side of the refrigerator, oven, and each cabinet? I have no idea where the nest is so I don't know where to concentrate my baits, traps, or point source, so I was just going to put them everywhere I could.
Typically you would use 3-4 Gentrol Point Source in a kitchen. Each Gentrol Point Source Station will cover about 75 sq feet.

Can these be placed on the BACK of a steel food station?
@@RisenPhoenix68 They should be placed up high if you can, so the chemical drifts down. Place them on walls and make sure to use one for every 75 square feet. If you put them in a closed cabinet then the chemical stays inside.
is it better to be placed higher, would increased height increase coverage?
Put them all over.
How does it work? Can you put it in a home with pets? Assuming they cant reach the actual station?
From everything I read, it's safe for pets including cats. I bought a combined cat, dog, and horse spray that had a similar chemical in it at a super low dose. I've used it twice, a week apart and my cats are all fine. The directions said I can use it weekly. If you follow the directions it should be safe.
I have roaches nesting in my dishwasher. I want to use this and place it inside the dishwasher, but it's underneath my kitchen island and I often prepare food on the counter top. Is it safe or do I need to place it further away?
You should not use Gentrol Point Source or any other product directly inside a dishwasher. You should be sure any drains or filters inside the dishwasher are clear and functioning properly. You also want to check the gasket around the door to the dishwasher to be sure there are no gaps when the door is closed (and keep the door closed when not actively loading or unloading). You may use the Point Source stations inside nearby cabinets such as under the sink. You may also consider using Gentrol Aerosol instead: the aerosol can comes with a crack and crevice straw so that you can apply the product in the space between the dishwasher and the cabinets or counter.

@@domyown thanks! So are you saying I shouldn't even put the roach bait stations inside the dishwasher? May I ask why I shouldn't place anything inside the dishwasher as long as I'm not using it? That's where all the roaches seem to be nesting and I thought it was the best way to lure them. I don't want to place them outside the dishwasher and cause them to spread out further... But thanks for the info, I appreciate it!
Correct, we cannot advise that you place any pesticides inside of a dishwasher. If it is functioning properly and the door closes correctly, then roaches or other insects would not be able to enter or breed there. Running a sanitation or hot wash and dry cycle would help to flush out the system and kill insects currently in there. Also, the insects got there from somewhere else in the first place, so if you do not address the way(s) the insects are getting into the dishwasher and treating the surrounding area, then your treatment is not going to be successful.

@@domyown thanks. The door closes fully but they're so tiny that they're able to scurry in between the crack. I've watched them do it... I think they're actually inside the appliance and it's pretty frustrating. It's an older dishwasher (1990s whirlpool model) so perhaps it's not as sealed or secure as newer models might be, but it runs fine and I haven't seen any water leaking or observed issues. Maybe I'll call a repairman out just to be on the safe side.
Would this be okay to place in the bathroom? I'm worried about humidity when taking a shower
Gentrol Point Source does not have restrictions regarding using it in a bathroom. The humidity should not disrupt the effectiveness of the stations as they do last up to 90 days once activated as directed.

I bought it on Amazon, but this pesticide is made in Germany, according to the instructions.

Does it work for bed bugs?
Gentrol Point Source is not labeled for treatment of bed bugs, it is only labeled to treat roaches and pantry pests. However, we do sell the Gentrol IGR in the liquid form in all of our Bed Bug Kits and the liquid IGR is labeled for treatment of bed bugs.

How exactly does this product work, is it in the air, do the pests breathe it in, or get it on their exoskeleton? Or are they attracted to it?
Gentrol Point Source after the capsule has been opened, it releases microscopic particles that actually fly through the air on particles that are normally flying around. It could be considered slow release. As these particles float through the air they land on the pest causing growth abnormalities to immature those pest.

These do not seem to be working. I’ve had them in every room of my house for 2 months and I’m still seeing new adults without crinkled wings.

Ditto in that Q. Friend needs my help and gave me this white disc, and I'm like, huh? How do i make this work? So, the sticky tab is not on the disc huh? And the raised area is too tuff to squeeze--do i use vice grips on it? Googling, trying to figure it out/no instructions included, argh.
