I also just finished my very first view of the Evangelion series, on Netflix. I avoided the huge rise in Anime popularity in the 90s, and Evangelion was the one that popped my proverbial cherry. WOW! 🤯 I NEVER would have thought that, on the eve of turning 40, that an Anime series would elicit the kind of emotional roller coaster that I've only ever experienced once before...and that was the death of my son. I laughed...I cried...I screamed at animated characters who were too stupid to realize that the tiniest bit of love and compassion towards one another could have saved humanity...Now I'm experiencing something that can only be described as withdrawal symptoms...and I can't get this fucking song out of my head! 😫
