I feel bad for disliking the English song because I really feel that person did their best, but it's like they didn't understand the energy and vibe the song was supposed to carry. So he nailed the song, but missed everything that made it the linchpin in the original. And this is from a girl who prefers and LOVES Sabat's dubs.

I feel like this is a gut punch towards Funimation for not hiring him to sing the song in the official dub.

Yeah, the Official English dub of Ultimate battle was trash, it made me want to turn it off, it broke the mood so hard and fast. That song was ment to be intense like Johnathan did but they screwed it up hard

Even the lyrics are horrible in the funi dub. These lyrics are more about the flow state which is how it should be.

Thats why Vegeta failed to achieve the form because he used his mind and emotion when trying to use the technique. He had so much pride to the point where it didn’t work and then he got sucker punched by that one superhero looking dude.
That’s why Vegeta can only use ultra ego, a power of destruction.

I honestly agree. I think he didn't necessarily have it at the start, but he got to it a little bit in. So I think this can genuinely stand alongside the original Japanese with just a few tweaks. And that's the best review I can give it. I imagine he wanted it his own thing, and I can respect that. It's honestly great.
