Thank goodness they went into great detail to show you how to move the "latch straps" for the front facing installation. Prior to watching this video, we had spent quite a while trying to figure out why the strap wasn't long enough for our car! Once we knew that "tricky part" the whole installation was easy! A Big thank you from a relieved grandmother!

Thanks for this detailed description. I tried to do it after watching another video and actually did it right. But I did the right side (facing) first and then the side with the orange bar. I went out to the car to hook it up and the belt was gone on the right side. I did not realize it was all one belt and had to take the covers off the seat to realize I had pulled it all the way through. Spent five minutes wondering where it had gone. Because the video did not specify slimfit 3, I tried it alternate way--the wrong way-- and now will go back and do it the over.
Yes, The belt is one and we have to pull the buckles each from both the front facing pathways. Happy to know that video is useful to you. I will be more then happy to aswer if you have any other questions.
Great video, just what I needed to install our new car seat. Based on the description from Graco themselves, I was under the impression that the seat could recline in front facing position but watching your video that seems to be incorrect.

Great instructions! So if we move the front straps back like you demonstrated, we don’t have to pass the car seat belt through the back side of booster seat as it seems the front straps are strong enough to hold the booster firmly?
Keep in mind that latch has a weight limit. Check your manual but at around 40-45lbs you cannot use latch any longer and will have to use the seatbelt to install.
thanks for the video, the instruction manual was very confusing, bad wording and illustration for front facing. I got really frustrated and about to return the car seat.
After having this carseat for a couple of months I finally realized the rear anchor strap just slides upwards x_x I kept looking at the manual confused
The crotch buckle has a metal part underneath the cover that you need to also move position not just move it through the cover, you need to completely remove the cover not just the top cushion to be able to move the crotch buckle

You are welcome.
You don’t have to press the button to tighten the latch straps. That button is only to loosen. You tighten by just pulling the strap.
