My biggest issue is that you always have fat doge after which you get recovery animation. Without that fighting those frogs wouldn't be that huge challenge. It would be difficult but not what it is now.
Thank you so much! Incidentally, I learned from comments in another channel that the difficulty is shown by dots around the HUD element in the lower left. Story: Upper Left Padawan: Upper Right Knight: Lower Right Master: Lower Left Grand Master: Lower Left + Upper Right This means that people cannot lie about what difficulty they were playing on, a really nice touch by the devs.
Blaster stance was my favorite to use. It was fun using Marksman to totally cheese certain fights, and when that didn't work I just went Dual Blade for one-on-one fights with humanoid enemies.
Blaster for sure on this. Openings after that lock on long leap. The red short lock on bite you have to dodge. After half health they start throwing out the parryable 4 bites instead of 2. Scheming little b itches
As terrified as I was during these encounters, I think it's so funny how they poked fun at players' reactions to Oggdo Bogdo in Fallen Order and also did it by adding lore. The fact that Cal canonically has PTSD from his encounter with Oggdo Bogdo has no business being so relatable but it'd also really funny. I love the in game jokes. Whoever came up with this particular echo is an absolute freaking sadist! I saw Spawn of Oggdo in my first playthrough and I literally yelled "OH HELL NO", froze up and died instantly then I spent 2 hours trying to kill it on GM before finally getting it. Then I went to Doma's shop and found that echo with both of them and screamed. And so the cycle began again. I only had 8 stims at the time and a few health upgrades and maybe 5 perk slot. I didn't even have the dark side slow when I did the tear, just the normal one. I was still just halfway through the game. Too bad we can cut off their tongues using Force Pull like in the first game. It was ROUGH but I was determined. I eventually got both of them using a combination of the Blaster and Dual Wield stances. This video was great, especially with the clips from the films in between, I got great laughs out of those. Great job and congrats on beating them! Your skills are complete.
Thank god I am not the only one who thinks this is one of the most overly stressful and difficult early game bossfights in gaming history...😅 Straight up the Oggdo's lock on for his special ability drove me up a wall I couldn't stand it. If you want to cheese the fight go behind the chest in the back, put on double blade and just throw it around until he dies.
It's just bad game design. It wouldn't be such a hard fight if Cal moved like he did through the rest of the game. My Cal after a lightsaber attack stands still for a second or 2 before being able to dodge or jump. Not to mention even when you do dodge the bosses attacks it still hits. On my game too the bosses can injure you even of the other one is in the way.
I'm not proud of myself, but I lowered the difficulty from Master to Padawan to do this. So I wouldn't go insane. Other than that, my go-to way to soften up difficult enemies was the spin attack in double blade stance. It takes down a good chunk of their health/stamina if you aim it at them.
To me after a few hours and nearly getting them both at 10% left, I called it quits as it was just taking the fun away of the game. But I’m also too early so might come back when I have the dark side powers
I wish this was more of an actual challenge instead of broken nonsense. Definitely the low point of the game for me was these harder enemies, like Spawn and the Rancor. Far too many flaws in the design to make it tough but fair like a Soulsborne boss which this is clearly trying to emulate. People who say it’s hard for the meme forget that that doesn’t forgive it and it really is just badly designed, even the original Spawn fight.
I played the game on Jedi Master and it was still a difficult fight. Since I don't care about the challenge, I dropped the difficulty do Padawan. I can't remember but I might have dropped the difficulty to Story Mode, which I definitely did for the Rancor fight.
This method was really helpful! I ended up using it on the second bogdo and used the lightsaber throw with regen and damage buff to kill the first. This boss was hell on jedi grand master.
Another good thing you can do is use cross guard stance for the second frog, the jump heavy attack (with the correct perks in the tree) shoots a wave out that deals decent damage and serves as a ranged option when out of blaster energy.
Blaster for the win!!! That's been my favorite stance but on this playthrough I didn't want to use it. It took me about an hour worth of tries with the dual saber and no luck. I pulled out the blaster and beat them after my first try. 😅
Wish I’d known these tips before . I had to take the patient route and get 2-3 hits a time and get up outta there. It worked , but it was frustrating lol
I’ve learned when fighting both weaken and destroy one first before the other for when their health gets low their hits become faster which is difficult to juggle both so solely focus on destroying one if you can without hitting the other one than work on killing the 2nd one
I've done Fractured History once on Jedi Padawan difficulty, and I ain't trying it again. Used Dual Saber stance, focused on Oggdo Boggdo first before going after The Spawn of Oggdo, and spammed Dark Side as much as possible. Only used a couple of stims because I had the Patience perk equipped, which recovers some of your health when you use Force Slow.
Man did anyone get sick of the “invisible wall” I don’t know how many times I got hit in the air because this random invisible wall prevents you from moving anywhere in the air, and just got cornered into nothing and couldn’t move and until eventually of course they killed you, the thing is this happened during every single play through so far, during this dumb challenge!
Amazing tactic, finally got them! Although I started with crossguard since its easier to kill the first one, then used the blaster tactic for the 2nd one
I was wondering for a while where a single Oggdo Bogdo was…. then I found it this morning. Holy hell was it hard; I gave up after 30 mins. I definitely need to rethink my strategy. Also, the two Mogu are ridiculously hard. I’m yet to beat those too, but I want to, because they have an extra stim. Looks like I need a lot more practice!
I knew blaster was the key, but I stupidly used ricochet and flurry to try and kill both at the same time; that just made of them all hop happy and tongue punched my fart box. Grand Master has been balls-grindingly hard, but extremely satisfying.
for me it was using the blaster force shot (you know hold right + f), it slows time and only consumes force, which I had enough thanks to the flux perk, I also used max FOV because I didn't see another way to keep track of them, so I mostly did the force shot, focusing on Ogdo Bogdo, disabling one or two of them for a few seconds, then hit the disabled one once or twice, depending on how close the other one is, once I had them to about half health, I switched to using my ammunition + Ricochet, disabling them both safely, but slowly losing ammunition, that was enough to get rid of Ogdo Bogdo and I still had some ammunition, so I could just keep using the force shot and played safe against Spawn of Ogdo, the whole thing probably took me about 100+ tries and a whole week, but now there are just those rancors between me and Grandmaster completion.
I did it almost exactly like you did (also on Grand Master). But I used the shot that jumps from one target to the next. That way, both get interrupted. But it took me way longer than your method. Congratulations 👏
This game... There's literary a hole in my wall from some bossfight or whatever from this game, due to a flying controller missing a pile og pillows.... Could be worse. There's a window right above that hole, and it's still cold outside. (first time gameplay has lead to destructive behavior since I was a dumb teenager. I hate myself)
This boss fight is unnecessarily unfair. The instant kill is f**kin bs, they should at least give us a last minute parry window or defense to cut thr tongue off or something.
Maybe it’s different on GM (I’ve only played on the default difficulty), but I had a much easier time fighting the rancors than the dueling frogs. I just had an absolutely crap time trying to dodge the tongue, felt like it would just grab me far outside the range of what felt reasonable. The rancors grabs seemed easier to dodge.
I fought spawn of oggdo early in the game(5stims,dual wield), it was pain, but with a bug I got lucky, he fell under texture. I tried this fight after getting the crossguard stance, 7 stims and like 30 skill points overall and I got it under 10 tries xD (jedi master difficulty)
On the Jedi Master I done Spawn of Oggdo the noob way by throwing two bedlams inside the hole. After I done two rancors... (Which are way easier for me then one Oggdo 🤣). Im about to throw down with both on Grandmaster tho and well... I know already it will be hard week for me 🤣
There's a cheese for this? I spent 2.5 hours to beat this fracture in grand master difficulty. Was satisfying when I finally beat it tho, so no regret not using this cheese
This fight just shows the developers incompetence. It’s totally unfair, with ridiculous hit box issues, and, the cherry of the cake, both can 1 shot you at anytime! If this attack animation start when you’re in the air is a certain kill. The developers are so bad that they were able to make a frog the worst enemy encounter I a STAR WARS game!!!
All these perks, all these stances, all these upgrades... all I need is just to be able to jump or dodge out of an attack animation... THAT'S IT! I hate combat in action games that animation lock you.
Yeah this does not work. I get two charged blaster shots in (along with the two saber strikes with each charged shot) into one Oggdo while using it as a shield for protection from the other and it jumps away leaving me vunerable for the other one.
The thing about Oggdo I find infuriating is the inconsistent hits even if you dodge perfectly.
I've noticed that too. Once he did the tongue move and it clearly missed me in the clip I took but still caught me.. lol
@@deathweeler8028have you tried spinning that's a really neat trick that might work
I hated the fact that the other one could hit you through the other one!
Welcome to the souls-like/metroidvania universe @@tslay7928

Story: Upper Left
Padawan: Upper Right
Knight: Lower Right
Master: Lower Left
Grand Master: Lower Left + Upper Right
This means that people cannot lie about what difficulty they were playing on, a really nice touch by the devs.
Crank it down to story difficulty and spam the dark side.
Advice from Starkiller
This 😂😂
😂😂😂
THANK YOU!!!
you're so right king
Blaster stance was my favorite to use. It was fun using Marksman to totally cheese certain fights, and when that didn't work I just went Dual Blade for one-on-one fights with humanoid enemies.
Did same thing
I used cross guard stance throughout

This was legit tougher, and more intimidating, than the Vader fight.
Thank god I am not the only one who thinks this is one of the most overly stressful and difficult early game bossfights in gaming history...😅

It's just bad design lazy and pointless

I didn't even know this was a fight....and here I was struggling with the two rancor boss fight force tear
Dark side slow buff with ricochet charge shot worked pretty well, definitely recommend that combo for the double rancor fight.
I'm not proud of myself, but I lowered the difficulty from Master to Padawan to do this. So I wouldn't go insane.

This seems like a Molly edited video and I am all here for it!
HOLY FREAKING COW!!!! Just beat them and my heart is beating like crazy!!! A year later and this vid is still helpful, thank you so much
Congrats!
I actually struggled more with the two rancors rather than the two oggdo boggdos
Two rancors was easy for me this was hell
I wish this was more of an actual challenge instead of broken nonsense. Definitely the low point of the game for me was these harder enemies, like Spawn and the Rancor. Father and Son coming to defeat the menace of the swamp, Cal Kestis
You could also use lightsaber throw for the second one. Just switch stance. If the Force meter runs out just run around untill it charges up a bit.
I haven't done this fight yet and I've been afraid but you basically recommended what i was thinking about doing. Thanks for the perk recommendations
Oh my god thank you so much. Beat them on the fourth try using your strat after weeks of struggling.
I played the game on Jedi Master and it was still a difficult fight. Since I don't care about the challenge, I dropped the difficulty do Padawan. I can't remember but I might have dropped the difficulty to Story Mode, which I definitely did for the Rancor fight.
The Jeb! “Please clap” clip was a nice touch
This method was really helpful! I ended up using it on the second bogdo and used the lightsaber throw with regen and damage buff to kill the first. This boss was hell on jedi grand master.
So glad I'm not the only one who struggled for hours with those stupid frogs
I couldn’t beat these dudes on Jedi Knight. Cannot imagine Grandmaster lmao
Another good thing you can do is use cross guard stance for the second frog, the jump heavy attack (with the correct perks in the tree) shoots a wave out that deals decent damage and serves as a ranged option when out of blaster energy.
Whoever gave these things an instant kill has booked a spot in hell.
A mega thanks for you . I spend so much time to try and your video save me. Big thank you from france ^^
Hahaha the rancor bit at the end 🤌
I honestly thought the two rancors were harder than this. Good luck!
Man i tried this and got it first try, thx man you are the best :)
These and the rancors have me SO FRUSTRATED, the one hit kills are just relentless
These. Damn. Frogs!!!!
in fallen order i use force pull to cut those tongue, now it just straight no counter for that move☠
O my god thank you! I finally managed to beat them using your strategy!
I love GamerAlex™️ 💖 Also, please name your next trivia group “Spawn Of Oggdo”
Worked like a charm! Thanks!
what a g. ill probably just end up switching to story difficulty though.
Blaster for the win!!! That's been my favorite stance but on this playthrough I didn't want to use it. It took me about an hour worth of tries with the dual saber and no luck. I pulled out the blaster and beat them after my first try. 😅

This brings me back to lore play
Nice work!
I beat them using the propeller throw of the double bladed.
Get out of reach, hit them enough and repeat.
Try grasping pull the tongue and cut it .. that works in fallen order and it is an achievement called " cal got your tongue "
Same here
Very efficient with that might be good to face them at late game, dying a lot of times is enough for me to fall to the dark side
THOSE MONSTERS!!!
“Just embrace the dark side”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Alex that just seems antithetical to you😂😂😂😂😂😂. And you said it with such positivity
What exactly do you unlock for beating this?
Amazing tactic, finally got them! Although I started with crossguard since its easier to kill the first one, then used the blaster tactic for the 2nd one

There’s 13 stems fun fact for anyone looking to get an extra edge
I knew blaster was the key, but I stupidly used ricochet and flurry to try and kill both at the same time; that just made of them all hop happy and tongue punched my fart box. Grand Master has been balls-grindingly hard, but extremely satisfying.
It helps on lower difficulties the darkside super can actually make the one hot KO only do most of your health instead
one thing that would've helped you a lot is using up your throw lightsaber for damage especially when it's just down to 1 of them
Yeah...the Rancor double fight is even harder lol. Best of luck!

Really helpful. I died too many times on this fight.
I did it almost exactly like you did (also on Grand Master). But I used the shot that jumps from one target to the next. That way, both get interrupted. But it took me way longer than your method. Congratulations 👏
Is there a reason why everyone uses yellow lightsaber?
This game... There's literary a hole in my wall from some bossfight or whatever from this game, due to a flying controller missing a pile og pillows.... Could be worse. There's a window right above that hole, and it's still cold outside.
(first time gameplay has lead to destructive behavior since I was a dumb teenager. I hate myself)
I'll be honest I died more to Vader than these frogs
This boss fight is unnecessarily unfair. The instant kill is f**kin bs, they should at least give us a last minute parry window or defense to cut thr tongue off or something.
I tried on Jedi Knight, and was like "naw...maybe later" lol
Literally first time hearing about the super meter.. jesus this game design.
What we earn if we defeat those bosses (honest question)?
Force and Dark Side powers on the real World?
It's so funny for me after seeing one of polish streamers banging his head into the wall on these frogs for 30h
Maybe it’s different on GM (I’ve only played on the default difficulty), but I had a much easier time fighting the rancors than the dueling frogs. 2 Rancors & 2 Oggdos? I went in thinking this would be easier than Fallen Order.
Youre my hero
Pro strats with Alex.
I cheesed the spawn of oggdo fight way too early then ended up having to fight these 2 for a couple hours
I think that after unlocking the dark side is easier to kill the beast
2 rancor is crazy
A blaster... So uncivilized
Some of the most glitchy crap in any boss fight I've ever done so frustrating.
I honestly had way more trouble with the two rancors. I kept getting killed dozens of times.
On the Jedi Master I done Spawn of Oggdo the noob way by throwing two bedlams inside the hole. After I done two rancors... (Which are way easier for me then one Oggdo 🤣). Im about to throw down with both on Grandmaster tho and well... I know already it will be hard week for me 🤣
Charging and attking like that is really hard on console
I think you strategy will be better if you do it unlike form. First kill one Oggdo Bogdo then use the blaster to finish the second Oggdo.
Yes the bane of many players. If only we could cut off its tongue like in the 1st game.
I can’t do it on Jedi knight the attacks are so buggy
There's a cheese for this? I spent 2.5 hours to beat this fracture in grand master difficulty. Was satisfying when I finally beat it tho, so no regret not using this cheese
I just came across these two and I quit lol
Smart without a strategy
This fight just shows the developers incompetence. It’s totally unfair, with ridiculous hit box issues, and, the cherry of the cake, both can 1 shot you at anytime! If this attack animation start when you’re in the air is a certain kill.
The developers are so bad that they were able to make a frog the worst enemy encounter I a STAR WARS game!!!
Where the hell is Fort Kah'lin?
I did it the hard way... took many tries... but I did it.
I should've watched this video first. T_T
I'm playing on story mode until I adjust I got wrecked by the easiest of droids on jedi knight
Impressive
Yellow lightsaber gang!
I guarantee the devs did not play this fight lmao. Edit: Just beat on Grandmaster using this strat! Thanks haha
I am doing it with 5 stims and havent even got the blaster😂
I beat it with 3 perk slots, not maxed out skill trees & only 7 or 8 stem shots😭😭😭 I didn't even have the Dark Side... worst boss fight EVERRRRRRRD!!!
Goood embrace the dark side, let it flow through you😈
Just turn the difficulty down then back up
This one is so annoying because of the tongue hit box and the difficulty of drawing aggro
All this jumping and midair dashing is starting to look like Warframe gameplay
