These forns are ideal for owner managed companies with one director and one shareholder, but you can adjust is for more shareholders.
With South Africa being grey listed there are new mandatory requirements on all businesses to declare who the beneficial owners are in an attempt to stop money laundering, which is known as AML (anti money laundering) legislation, and the South African government started implementing the beneficial ownership submission as a way to get us out of the grey listing status.

It's not possible at all to get these forms. They all want R500+ to assist you. Went to their offices, came back with no luck. As they're saying the law doesn't allow them to help us. How are we supposed to know which one is theirs?!!!!!! Am deeply frastrated.

Thanks very much Heinrich this helped a bunch... do I use the same template if i have more than one director in my PTY but the other directors own less than 5% of the business per director?
Also can I declare myself alone if the other directors are non-executive and they own less than 5% of the business per director?

Yes if they own less that 5% then no need to disclose as a beneficial owner, but they must be listed on the share register

@@SAAccountingNetwork I am also kind of stuck on that share register, i see that you have 001 as the register number, as well as R100 as the amount paid, as well as Class A as the typye of shares. I have looked over and over through my documents(Cipic Comp Reg papers), i do not see the the share reg number. Can i assume to use those defaulted by the template?

Hi there. I just registered a company a few days ago and the CIPC welcome letter says i must file beneficial owmership within 10 days of registration. Do i use these same documents to upload? I am the sole director. Ps: why did you choose Non-affected company with BO on the dropdown list and not Affected company? I am so confused.😢

Could you possibly guide us on this one, as to which selection to make: AFFECTED COMPANY or NON AFFECTED COMPANY WITH NO BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP TO DECLARE, or NON AFFECTED COMPANY WITH BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP? you used NON AFFECTED COMPANY WITH BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP, but I don't understand why. Easiest is to use R100, first certificate will be #1
your video is a day late, i was looking for something like this, i used ai to help me. My accountant wanted to charge me R2000 to file the Beneficial Ownership
This is completely new to all of us and extremely time consuming, hence the fees! The commodity we trade with is our time. But it can be done by small business owners🙏

Do you know ‘B2Bhint’ they are an online company that has access to the information we provide CIPC and publicly shares that information online. My question is: is this legal? While I have nothing to hide, I do am not happy that my information has been shared with some third party agency did I perhaps consent to this unknowingly? they do not respond to any of my emails or other contact methods I have tried to reach out to them with. Can you share some light on this?
