An open level crossing located on a very narrow single-track road just outside of Newquay. Even in September 2022, there are still no barriers at this level crossing, and this is due to the very limited space around the level crossing. At one point, the installation of half barriers here was considered, but there is not the space here to fit them. There are two alarms here, and as can clearly be heard, one of the two is very faulty. Red/white Drivers' Crossing Indicators signal to approaching trains if the crossing is working as it should, and there are also four St. Andrew's crosses here to signify that there are no barriers here.
Rather bizarrely, one of the four LED wigwags / road traffic lights is actually mounted by a small bracket onto a telegraph pole, again due to a lack of space in that corner of the level crossing. This is quite a unique sight to behold in terms of level crossings. A two-car local stopping service is seen passing in this video on its final run into Newquay after its final intermediate station stop at Quintrell Downs.
Apologies if the main clip stops rather abruptly. There were two cars meeting each other here and I had to get out of the way.
    Thanks for watching!
