Great Video Alex I’ve been at Par a few times last time I was there was back in October and I saw a tamper and a China clay train in that siding next to the Cornish Mainline, you can also normally get Class 158s running the Penzance to Plymouth or Cardiff journey. I would recommend this place aswell as of St Blazey Depot is just the other side of them trees and on the Newquay line do get the weekly China clay trains and light locomotive services often going into St Blazey. The Royal Duchy also finishes there I think before heading back towards Plymouth.

@@alextrainspotterhd6444 thank you Alex, I might possibly make a video in the holidays hopefully I be able to see the Network Rail New measurement HST as they are down possibly the 24th December as Christmas Day I believe is a Saturday . Recent times they have been down the last Friday of every month rather then the first Friday.

Great video: from Australia, I have changed for Newquay years ago, and last year went to Penzance. Another trip this year to UK/Europe.
I love how Par and other stations along this main line are still mechanically signalled. Wonderful. Works well, despite your brief comment to the contrary.
Where does that freight go on the Newquay branch and why was it so short?

Hello 👋 the freight is from st Blazey which is a little freight yard not to far away from par, depends on the day how much they carry for the freight normally 1,000 tonnes everytime.
