I am such a visual learner so videos are always a huge help! I will say this pattern is sooooo well written I had no problems making it without watching first. I feel like there's always great advice on how to do the steps though that I still watched the video.... So well done Cherelle! Both the pattern and the video!!!!
Hi, Melissa. I completely understand where you're coming from! I'm also a visual learner and find that videos can definitely be helpful in learning a new skill or following a pattern. However, I'm glad to hear that the pattern you worked on was well-written and easy to follow even without watching the video. And of course, it's always a bonus when there's extra advice or tips included in the video that can enhance the learning experience. Thank you very much with your positive review!!
This backpack turned out so pretty. Your color choices make it perfect to accessorize many outfits. I appreciate your precision sewing and attention to detail. Well done video.
Honest confession, I have a hard time seeing colors work with other color schemes. I have a nude color pallette mindset. So, I'm working on playing with light cool, and warm colors in the near future. Nonetheless, thank you for seeing the beauty in my work. It truly means a lot to me. 🌹
This is one of the best bag tutorials I've ever watched. Thank you for your wonderful instruction and i learned new techniques I haven't seen before. I will never install another zipper again without using your method of drawing the lines on the back first to get the zipper perfectly placed without struggling to get it centered. Brilliant! LOVE this pattern!
Thank you, KelleAnn! I'm glad to hear that you found the bag tutorial helpful and learned new techniques! It's great to hear that you found the method of drawing lines on the back for installing zippers helpful. It's always rewarding to know that the methods shared resonate with others and enhance their skills. Happy sewing, and I hope you enjoy making more bags with this pattern!
Beautiful bag! ❤ I saw the video for the Juji tote too late to make for my daughter who would’ve loved it for the Beyoncé concert. Also, I love the method of drawing the rectangle around the zipper box for zipper placement. Thanks for another great video!
Oh, the Juji would've been perfect for that particular outing. However, I'm glad you like the guidelines lines for the zipper tape. It just makes everything so easy without putting up a fight 🤣. Thanks for watching!
Hey, Dru! Thank you for your continued support and your kind words! I'm so pleased that your daughter enjoyed her Juji Tote. Hopefully, you two will enjoy the Aimani as well ❤️
This is a REALLY thoughtfully & carefully made video accompanying the equally carefully designed PDF pattern. Great job, thank you! I adore the purchased pattern and can’t wait to make it. If I could just make one request ( NB its not a critique, just a sort of “ on my wishlist” thing): it would be HUGELY helpful if the video could have some timestamps or chapters whereby one could click on the relevant production step instead of trawling through the video to find it. But I have no idea how difficult it is to embed these time stamps/chapters. Either way, its a fab video and magnificient backpack.
Haha, I was looking forward to my response. It's perfectly okay. I was afraid the timestamps weren't populating. However, I agree with you 100% regarding the time stamps and am glad you found them. Thank you very much for watching, and I genuinely hope you enjoy the pattern. Happy sewing!
Oh my gravy! Crazy LOVE this bag!! I just bought this pattern and the JUJI Tote. So classy!! Where did you purchase the white and the tan trim vinyl for this bag?
Did anyone make it with the small d-rings on both sides of the bag (zipper gusset) so a right OR left-handed person can use the pouch? I'm thinking about doing this 🤔
Thank you so much for the great video, I love all the tips, but I do have a question. For the interior slip pocket you used dst on the back of the pocket to hold it in place, time 50:38. Wouldn’t that also stick the inside of the slip pocket to the lining making the pocket hard to open?
Thank you! We'll I'll be! I forgot to mention that the DST should be removed after your pocket is stitched. The DST is there as a temporary placholder while you affix the pocket onto the lining panel. Great catch, and thank you for bringing this to my attention. Thanks for watching!
Wow, your tutorials are so easy to follow and well explained! May I ask which machine you are using? From what I see, it looks similar to my domestic, but mine struggles when sewing thicker materials.
@@Cherelleleronpatterns thank you for letting me know. I had been using the Juki 2010q along with my industrial, but it doesn’t seem to be strong enough. Time to get my HD9 out of the closet! 😂

Am I thinking that through correctly? I just watched the video (great job) and I think the coin purse can be left or right, as long as I have a d-ring on either side, I think?
I'm confused or I overlooked the instructions and pattern pieces, but I'm having difficulty locating the pattern pieces/measurements for the two fabric strip overlays and fabric strips.
Hi, I apologize that you are having difficulty locating the pattern pieces. Please contact me at cherelle.leron@gmail.com for further assistance. Thank you.
I apologize for the late response (late notification). I didn't test with foam, so your results may vary. However, you can still use Decovil Light or fusible fleece after you interfaced your quilt cotton with woven interfacing for a firmer application. Just be sure to keep the stabilizer out of your seam allowance.
Which foot? I used about three 🤣. Check out Cutex Sewing Supplies and search for Teflon Compensating Presser Foot for 1/4" and a Left Narrow Zipper Foot. For the edge foot, you can find it here: amzn.to/3MEwCNS

I bought the piping you suggested. What size vinyl do I use to cover it?
Hi. Any medium-weight vinyl will do.
Should i use foam if i use quilt cotton?.. i have a cheap domestic that cant handle the leather/vinyl.
