To the people complaining about the speed, this is one of the slowest Metrolink lines. I will publish drivers eye views of the other lines soon on my main channel @tramographyMCR.
Notice the boarded area immediate after the Barton Dock Road (1st stop) station? That's Therme Manchester under construction. When completed in 2026, it will transform the area for sure.
This a regular run for me from Queens Road to the Trafford Centre - I prefer to change trams at Deansgate/Castlefield as the platforms at Cornbook are too short - and at peak periods, there is not enough double trams going to Bury, which I’ve written to Metrolink about - I’d like to see more direct trams to the Trafford Centre from Bury and other locations though
It's allways a plesure watching a public transport making such a loud disturbing noise, going so slow, and the cars on the road next to him, just zooming by.
Of course you will have noticed that the mic sound level is set extremely high ?? and that the zooming cars only have one person in them, efficient ??? I travelled from St Peters Sq to Altringham last Saturday, it was very busy and the trams dealt with a very high volume of people that cars could not have in a month of Sundays and not even buses could have. I don't live in Manchester but the tram system is impressive and needed in cities. Finally the trams have to go slow because of the zooming cars who don't obey traffic laws, we don't want to hit one of them do we... nuff said....
Have lived in Manchester all my life, now a pensioner and have never been on Metrolink. Watching this confirms why. An awful system for an awful lot of money for an increasingly awful city. Just my opinion of course.

Going to be absolutely carnage during the summer holidays on a United match day
I wouldn't have to like leaving my left hand and arm in a position like that for most of the day. It must really take some getting used to
One reason why I have respect for tram drivers

Also what kind of inverter is this. This sounds like a washing machine dying
Seems slow compared with Holland and Germany. Still a nice ride though.
