- Over the weekend of October 21st and 22nd, the Sunbury Model Railway Club hosted its highly anticipated annual model railway exhibition. This event was a gathering of enthusiasts and hobbyists who came together at the charming St. Anne's Church Hall in Sunbury to celebrate their shared passion for model railways.
The exhibition was a testament to the dedication and creativity of the club's members and the broader model railway community. Visitors had the opportunity to witness an impressive array of meticulously crafted model railway layouts that varied in scale, style, and historical era. From sprawling landscapes with intricate miniature towns and villages to meticulously detailed locomotives, every layout was a work of art in miniature form.
In addition to the captivating model railway displays, there was a bustling area dedicated to traders. These traders offered a wide range of model railway accessories, locomotives, rolling stock, and other related items. Whether you were a seasoned collector or a newcomer to the hobby, this exhibition provided a perfect opportunity to explore, learn, and acquire new items for your own model railway project.
The atmosphere in St. Anne's Church Hall was one of camaraderie and shared enthusiasm, where attendees could swap stories, tips, and insights with fellow railway model enthusiasts. It was a place where the rich history and craftsmanship of model railways were celebrated and preserved for future generations.
This video captured all the highlights of the event, allowing viewers to experience the intricate details, craftsmanship, and sense of community that defined this year's Sunbury Model Railway Club exhibition. It served as a fantastic memento for those who attended and as an exciting introduction for those who are curious about the world of model railways.

amazing, thumbs up 👍🍀💯
Enjoyed that one Will.
Great to hear a reference to the late Ray Leopold who was such a stalwart of the Sunbury Model Railway Club back in the formative years .... He is still sadly missed by many of us. RIP
Fantabulous vid.
Will, great report on the exhibition. Great camera work, and commentary. Felt like being there.
Cheers, and stay safe, Michael
Thank You
Thx Will
Excellent video Will. Looks like it was a nice busy exhibition which is always good to see. There were some great layouts there too. - Nicholas.
Another wonderful compilation to bring people along who weren't able to make it to the show and documenting some of these layouts that don't get around to other shows or are being retired. Your camera work continues to excel capturing all the small details. Cheers!
Thanks for the video. Loved the camera work!! I appreciate your hard work putting this together. Thank You!!
We travelled out near Sunbury recently for new years. Very beautiful around there
Hi Norm Bray.
Great video. Very nice camera work and editing plus the background music. Some very well made layouts there. Thanks for this
November 79 saw the debut of the Clinchfield in Model Railroader and was my biggest influence in the hobby to date .
Southeastern Geography, Mile long coal trains, bridge traffic and eventually part of the Family Lines was a temptation to strong to resist for this teenage boy whom had been brought up with Tri-ang Hornby .
Life has never been the same since .
It had the same impact on me. Amazing layout, especially for the time. Absolutely validated my switch to US N scale after starting out with Triang HO as a young kid.
Absolutely beautiful, so nice to see Australian trains and cars, superb job enjoyed 😊
Happy New Year to you and your family 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cheers 🍺🍻KC 🇦🇺
