Awesome, thanks for posting. I could have used these videos 20+ years ago when I got my '64 Dream back; it had been stolen and it took a couple years before I found it again and brought it home. The thief had, among other things, screwed up something in the shifting and, for various reasons, I parked it in my garage. All these years later I want it to run again. Quality vids like this give me great hope.
I’m late to the party but I’ve just got my grandfathers old 64 dream 305 and was wondering if their engine and transmission shared oil? I’ve worked on lots of cars but never a bike, I can’t find a drain plug for transmission fluid.

I know this video is old but on my side cover it dosent use those screws it has Alan heads?
Someone replaced them at some point. There are kits available.
What about the thin steel wire loop that goes into the little valleys in the hub ???
I don’t think I removed them. Will look closer nd t time.
