I haven't done Borovets, but I'm quite surprised at the varied runs. They look to be in pretty good condition too. A lot of poetic licence with the Black categorisation, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the upper slopes are like.

There are some good runs there, I covered pretty much everything open so plenty more to come...

Ah yes, I remember it well. Be aware of the dreaded button lift, it's quite long and can bite you when it snatches - which it does several times. It catches a lot of people out and leaves them stranded. Like Bansko it's underated. Looking forward to Pamporovo postings as I've not been there.

Yes, I know what you're talking about! I used that lift a few times (on my previous visit) but it was closed this time.

You ate those slopes up for breakfast, man!

When you can intermediate ski comfortably i.e. on reds, and have your own skis, these east European resorts look a nice cheaper alternative to the more well known and more expensive other resorts. Thanks for showing what their runs actually look like. And if you go there when kids are back at school, the runs will be mostly empty and quiet.

Very true! I try to avoid busy resorts during school holidays. These Eastern European resorts are quite popular, and lots of Brits go there...

How was the snow quality compared to Bansko? We were at Bansko around the same the dates with you (-:

Bansko was practically all open whereas Borovets had some closed section due to lack of snow. You'll see in later videos... Hope you enjoyed Bansko...

How was the snow? When does the ski season typically end?

Snow was still good but lots of warm weather expected so not sure how it will hold. The season normally ends in April....

Very crowdy, waiting time for the gondola at least two hours, the slopes are full of skiers..no room to ski, I think never again.

Does it get less busy in March? We were thinking of heading there.

@@hypercasual probably yes, the weather conditions is the point, try to visit an Austrian glacier, the snow will be definitely compact.

Did a week two weeks ago. Lifts were bipolar; mostly empty but on one day, had to wait about 40 minutes for the main gondola! Next day walked straight onto the lift! Weird, never did figure it out but as mostly empty not too worried.
Pretty good resort but might get a bit boring after the first day if you are advanced and hungry. Many of the slopes have a similar feel so tbh, not much in the way of variety.
Also, beginners beware, if you hate roads, go elsewhere, there are very few runs that are not linked by roads.
