With Eren I never expected him to be one to go the villain route. Tbf of everything he went through he technically went SCREW IT. But to me the time he went full on villain mode was when he dismissed the scarf he gave Mikasa. That scarf was the reason Mikasa kept going was grateful to Eren for saving her life as a kid and the reason she was even with him to this day. Only for him to tell her that scarf means nothing it instantly broke my heart.
Obito Uchiha deserves more credit. Unlike Sasuke, he was legitimately a good person who tragically turned to the dark side. Kid Obito is like Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker because of him being likeable, but Sasuke was more like Anakin in episodes 2 and 3 because of his edginess before he turned to the dark side.
Unlike Sasuke. Obito truly felt like the poster child of a villain born from tragedy. I’m not at all excusing what he did. However he was the one and only antagonist who I felt sorry for along with understanding his pain. The fact that he was able to somewhat make amends for what he did in the end. Makes him that great of a character
No when saskue was a kid he was open expressive and a good person he did t act anything like he did in the ninja academy it wasn’t until his parents were killed before his eyes that he began to walk the path of revenge and gradually became more evil so that is t true.

Homura didn't actually really want to RUIN madoka's world but she was indeed obsessed and ended up creating a world where Madoka could live a pretty normal life as a normal girl instead of being a goddes, even if it meant Madoka might one day fight her if she broke free
Griffith more then deserves the top spot for this List. Seeing Griffith go from Gut’s closest ally and friend to a selfish power seeking monster who sacrificed his own loyal soldiers to be massacred in exchange for power along with violating Casca in front of Guts. More then proves how’s he’s one of the best antagonists ever written. Rest in Piece Kentaro Miura Sensei, you will forever be known as the one who created the masterpiece Berserk. Even if it’s not finished you done more then enough with this truly great manga.
What sucks is that Griffith, though jealous of Guts and Casca's bond, genuinely thought of Guts as his best friend. Being tortured for all of those years really drove him over the edge.

In order peace, you need to destroy the now to make way for the new. The now being the 2000 years of hatred racism and the new being at peace with the world and it's people.
I really like Kirio. He's like if you put Enmu from Demon Slayer and Hisoka from HxH in a blender. Iruma-kun characters are fun in general and it's nice to see them getting representation.

Onpopular but interesting imo: Black rock shooter going insane I remember rooting for her in her fights. Seeing her merge with mato, corrupting herself and turning into this relentless, all-slaying machine all the others have to come together to stop was amazing and heartbreaking at the same time.
My favorite is homaru from madoka magica. She Turned into a villain and has taken away madoka's Position, but because of the wish to have madoka the happy life she always deserved. This makes her a really Symapthetic fallen hero, as she only wants to give the Person she loves a happy life.

I’ve got some: Sara from mermaid melody, she once a mermaid once in love with Taro the human but he left her and she turned evil, eventually in the end of the first series he apologized to her and told her his reason, she then redeems herself. Naga from bakugan, he along with Wavern were the white ones bakugan but naga wanted power and so he stole the silent core and became evil. Eventually he was defeated and sent to the doom dimension Zola from blue dragon, it’s seems like she was on the hero side until near at the end when she was evil, because when she was a girl, she lost her dad and gave into the darkness which made her goodness in her go away. Eventually Shu defeated her and sealed the darkness for good. Emerl from sonic x, was originally a robot who was bad but then was repaired and was good until a chaos emerald caused him to go haywire, after causing destruction cream and cheese defeated him. That’s all I have right now.
In Griffith's case I probably would hav done the same thing really. I mean the man was a once great leader but was subjected to years of continuous mental and physical torture... he become an invalid, being able to help himself do even the mosy basic things. Eh Slaine Troyard isn't a villain. He climbed the ranks in Mars to protect the princess from her enemies, then gathered all of them all in one place to be defeated leaving the princess able to rule in peace without enemies.
Griffith and Eren Are by far my favorite written (although Griffith is more written like a real villain). I think Eren could be even listed higher, when we get the full extent of the rumbling.

Eh Slaine Troyard isn't a villain. He climbed the ranks in Mars to protect the princess from her enemies, then gathered all of them all in one place to be defeated leaving the princess able to rule in peace without enemies.
Griffith and Eren Are by far my favorite written (although Griffith is more written like a real villain). I think Eren could be even listed higher, when we get the full extent of the rumbling.
